    Awesome video thanks buddy! How is the flex limits on it and how much lift do you have on your jeep, currie says it’s for Jeep’s with 4 or more inches of lift so I was curious how that is working out with you since I’m guess it’s the angle of the tie rods that are the limiting factor or maybe the length of the drag link, just seeing how’s it going after 7 months?

      I thought I had answered some of the questions. But, don't see it. I have a 4" lift. I don't wheel very hard so I can't comment on the flex limits. It has done well over the 2 years I've had it and functioned well on the mild and moderate trails I've been on. The only thing I've run into is that one of the joints can't be easily greased. The grease stops going in very quickly. You can tell it's not filling the area properly. I think if I had paid more attention on assembly of matching the grooves in the ball with the fill hole it would have been better. The other parts are fine. I have to disassemble it and turn that ball. I have to admit, I'm not excited about tearing it down again. We moved to Canada and I don't have a garage anymore.

      Sorry for the new replies to old questions. Thought I had done it already. So far, happy with the results and it's been 2 years. It's a far stronger part than the OEM. When you hold them together, there this no contest.

    Great video and will help me with mine. How did you get the ends situated to take grease?

      I talked to the company and they told me to take that side up on a jack to full droop and that should work. I admit, I haven't done it. I just force it and bitch and whine since I haven't wanted to take it apart to readjust that joint. We moved and my Jeep doesn't get out as much as before, so it hasn't been an issue. But, if you are having the issue, do try jacking it up and let us know. I may do it one day more out of curiosity.

      I got to thinking about this and got off my lazy rear and went out there to look. I raised it up to full droop with my Hi-Lift and disconnected the sway bar. I didn't really see an improvement getting the grease to go in. However, while doing it, it dawned on me there is a flat spot on the joint. I grabbed a crescent wrench and turned it (joint closest the driver wheel). I just turned the ball joint, not any of the nuts holding things together. That did it. Grease went right in, no fuss. Not sure why I didn't think of that before. I don't see a way to add a picture here or I would.

    How does it handle on the road with 33s?

    • @scottlamottephotography4412

      It handles extremely well. I've never had any odd behaviour from the 4" ProComp lift it came with when I got it. I used to regularly drive it at 70 mph where I used to live.

    Can this be installed with a dropped pitman arm?

      No. Instructions specifically mention that.

      I would call the company on that one. They are pretty responsive. I have no idea, it worked well on a stock part.

      Thanks for responding - I called and this is specifically built for a stock pitman arm. It’s meant to be a stock plug and play upgrade. Did you grease before install or after?

    • @scottlamottephotography4412
      @scottlamottephotography4412 11 місяців тому

      @@gymnastgr I greased before install. If I had to do it again, I would pop the caps off the ball again and try to line up the groove in the ball with the zerk fitting. If not, the ball blocks the grease from getting in. At least that's what appears to be happening with one of the joints. I can't get grease into it.
