Great video. DKC hits me right in the childhood in a way that makes me admire the pre-rendering graphical style. Sort of similar to the low-poly trend we are seeing with Nightmare Kart or Crow Country, while it wasn't intentional, it creates this very different visual style that while technically inferior to modern processes, freezes them into it's own unique graphical style. Any time I see the uncompressed 3D renderings of DKC they really look rough, but the compression down to sprites makes it a lot more pleasing; almost like baking a loaf of bread and then heating it again to toast it for something a bit more crunchy and tastier :P
