So one of the wires from the poa valve gets spliced into the power wire to the compressor. Where does the other one from the poa valve plug go? My 74 has the same setup and I’m trying to get it working.
There are a lot of choices out there for Pontiac motors. I'm guessing your car is a strip strip car? I'd get one with a pulley centering hub(rules out the TCI rattler as it is currently made). I would also get one with the correct bolt pattern for the stock pulleys. SFI approved is a good thing. Made in the USA is a great thing. I heard some bad things about imported silicone filled balancers(e.g. breaking crankshafts). This info should be a good start to your research before you bust the checkbook out.
Oldsmob455 Hi guys. You guys have the best videos. I love watching them, I can't get any work done. I'm hooked. You say in the videos you might sell the trans am. I'm currently looking for a 73/74 455, auto with A/C driver. Please let me know if you are interested in selling the Trans Am Thanks. Sevice@toyotechauto.com

Great job with the firebird love your Channel what harmonic balancer do you recommend for a 1972 455
The ten dollar question is do you have air conditioning?
Oldsmob455 no A/C and don't plan to put one in either

so did you get it to work ?
It works. The switch mechanism in the dash needs work so it isn't always on and I'd like to go bakc to the original valve and refridgerant.
what book is that do they have it for 78
That's the GM factory service manual for that year and yes they make one for 1978 GM F bodies.
