Really good job. The first thing I thought was, "I wonder if you can paint the compressor black to match the original?", and then you answered it 😄. My car is an original A/C car, and the sales ad said that the compressor had been removed but would be included with the car, but that didn't happen, so I'm going to have to buy one, along with all of the other stuff that goes with it. Not looking forward to the $$ and the effort to install it, but there are a lot of other things that need to be done first.

I am curious, was anything wrong with the original GM AC system, besides the compressor? Are the O-rings on the original compressor the green version? If they are not, leaks are eventually guaranteed.
The system works as expected in the car. I did replace the blower motor when we restored the car. I had the green o rings through out the system as it was changed to R134A. As of now it still works great. Thanks.
Was the new hardware the same or was it different(spacer etc.)? I just purchased a '77 and it had all but one bracket, and no spacer or hardware. 😢 Thanks
man, that car is better than new! I've got also a 1978 trans am and drive it a lot around. Under the hood it's not so clean as yours. Can you give me the engine (blue) color code ? Difficult to find the right color... Cheers from France

I used the factory hardware where I could. Everything should be included that you need. I would contact them directly. Good luck

It's GM corporate blue. Used on most GM vehicles from 77 ( I believe) and up. Thanks.
