episode 9, in todays episode I decided to try my hand at some of my favourite content to watch and listen to right now, video essays. it's not secret that I love music and since ending music reactions I found myself trying to find another way to discuss albums with you guys, so here's me trying something.

This deep dive is THE BEEST! I loved listening to the person who reaaly pays attention to the lyrics and who knows the context of the things and also who listened to Ari’s interviews. A veeryy good analysis. Agree on everything! Love these videos, thank you❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love in the title track eternal sunshine how, at the end, she repeats the bridge of all the repeating words. At the end of them she usually says rewind, but at the end of the song she stops just short of saying it to show how she’s breaking the pattern she’s been stuck in.

Love love love all your videos and was hoping you were going to be giving us some eternal sunshine content! So many insightful thoughts on this incredible album. One thing I saw that really resonated with me is that we can’t be friends is the extended yes, and? bridge. If you look at the bridge and some of the verses, she references those in wcbf. Example: face is sitting/at least I look this good. Just genius, especially to give more so her true thoughts and deeper meaning to yes, and’s more up beat F you meaning. And one thing I think just clicked with how they are connected. Yes, and is very house/club beats and you’re in it. Wcbf sounds like your outside of a club, literally like you left and are reflecting on yourself and your truth after trying to put it behind you and have fun. And to have wcbf be the second single after yes and, WOW!
hearing artists talk about an art form different from theirs is always really interesting and insightful. i loved your music reactions, but this deep dive format hits different

Omg Brad I’ve been gluten and dairy free for a year and a half now! I have several autoimmune disorders and cutting both of those out (along with some other inflammatory foods) made a huge difference. I have different issues than you, stomach, but I think it should help you feel better. I don’t have cheese alternatives (grosses me out) but I like the olive oil butter spread, Udi’s gluten free bread and chickpea pasta. The rest I just try to eat real foods (fruit, veggies, chicken etc). I did like a 10 week trial and noticed a huge improvement so I kept going and plan to. It is trial and error figuring out what things bother you as each person is different.

Strangely i think this album is Perfect! It doesn't lack anything that i wanted she said what she had to say it's different for her previous stuff but also her area of singing and lyricism, loves it ❤ and i adore your channel i truly enjoy ut ❤
Absolutely loved this deep dive! Please please please do a deep dive on the album deeper well by kacey musgraves!! Such an excellent album that has a couple similar themes to eternal sunshine (Saturn returns, self love, etc)

I’m not necessarily “dairy free” but I reduced my dairy intake a while back for weight loss trails and it was tough at first, specifically cheese, but I haven’t really missed it and just have a new life style. Hardest part was forgetting to say “with oat milk” at cafes haha but got the hang of it after a while. Good luck on your new lifestyle:)
Eternal Sunshine has been my favorite film since it came out in 2004 (!) would love to see your reaction to the film. I know Ariana was heavily inspired by the film and I do enjoy the album, but the film is a different world 🩵
I think it's so fun to deep dive into such creative bursts of pleasure like music albums! I think it would be so cool if you did FOUND HEAVEN from Conan Gray when it comes out April 5th. The singles that are already out are SO good and interesting and fun to interpret, the lyrics are EXTREMELY powerful as Conan is surprising us with such a new exciting type of music!!🤩🎶

As someone who is meant to be away from gluten and dairy...gluten free bread and cheese isn't the vibe for me. Definitely dropped cow's milk years ago and never looked back. Oat milk is where I settled. Try it for 6 months and then try going back to cow's milk.

I see the "she's in your bed" part the same way I look at break up with your gf I'm bored. She's talking about herself and him in 3rd person. She's in my bed layin on your chest = it's her laying in their bed with him, already thinking about how it's going to end. Then after the first chorus and second verse, it's now he's in your bed layin on my chest = it's her with the new man in the new relationship but on the same bed as before. I will admit that the "hope you feel alright when you're in her" does throw this theory off 😂 But before that she says it's like looking in a mirror, so maybe she's looking at her past self?? Or it could be her saying "ok, I cheated, but so did you, so when I look at my actions, I also see yours"... Idk, but it's a reaaallyyy interesting piece of lyrical work she put there.
I didn’t vibe with this album. I listened once and was bored. Sometimes an album grows on you though so I gave it a few more chances. I’ve listened 3 x’s now and it won’t be on repeat. I need more bops on an album to keep interested. I think Taylor and Billie find this balance nicely in their albums.
if you are into more traditional pop and not rnb, that makes sense. there Are bops on the album just not what you’re used to
