- Country Two Step Dance doesn't have to be so darn complicated! Learning how to two step dance should be easy IF you approach it in the right way.
In this country two step dance lesson, Anthony and Rose Lewis of Country Dance X teach you the country 2 step basic steps in a way you've probably never thought about it before. In truth, 90% of country two step dancing consists on dancing the same 3 moves over and over ... but just changing hands from one country two step dance move to the next.
If you learn how to Texas Two Step dance the way taught in this how to two step country dance lesson, learning how to dance will be much easier, faster, and you'll be able to go out two stepping much faster than if you just try to learn a bunch of country two step moves.
BIG NEWS COMING!!!! The Beta release of "X Dance University" will start on December 1st of this year! There has never been anything like it and this revolutionary approach will completely disrupt the dance industry. Think this is an exaggeration? Check out this sample video of the Country Two Step Basic Step and let us know what YOU think:

I don't believe I've heard anyone else break down the simplicity of the dance like this before. I like this approach. It makes much more sense.
MCDGA !!!
Thank you! We’re so glad it helped. We really do want to MCDGA and these videos are our little way of contributing.
Every instructor Ive worked with has taught the basic concept of the follow turning one turn, not the 1-1/2. Your idea makes so much more sense and makes it flow so much easier. Thanks for helping make sense of it.
Scuba Traveler Love to hear that! We teach one and a half because that’s the way the dance is structured. Some teachers teach a single turn first because it’s easier for beginners... but ultimately will hold them back later.
1 1/2 is the default degree of turn. It’s easy to demonstrate that with a free spin. The follower will naturally turn 1 1/2 without the leader’s physical influence.
Country Dance X My partner and I have a private lesson coming up with Clarissa and that’s what we’ll be working on. We cant wait!
That’s great! Clarissa is awesome and knows her stuff. You’ll have a great lesson :-)
Great explanation. Breaking it down helps so much. Makes good sense. Thanks bunches for sharing your knowledge with us.
Thank you so much for joining us and always lifting our day with your positivity!
Wow. Excellent insights. So few instructors of anything break things down to the fundamentals. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! The basics are where it's at :-)
Great video! This explanation really does simplify the basics of this dance!
Thank you for watching. We’re so glad you enjoyed the video!!
Been watching a lot of your video's over the past week, I think I'm addicted!
Real reason for the comment though - Rose's little beak punch! Haha Thanks for the laugh.
Haha! Someone has to keep Anthony in line.
Thank you so much for watching!!
You guys are the best!!!! You make it so simple to learn!
Thank you! Making it simple is exactly what we try to do, so we’re glad you thought so :-)
YES! YEEEESSSS!! You did the same thing to us in WCS, breaking it down to just a few basic movements to build from. This is excellent! And because of your explanation, so freaking simple! Now, just to do it . . . Thank you!!!
We LOVE that kind of comment! Thank you so much for watching. It makes us so happy that it helped :-)
@@countrydancex Yes, it was awesome. AND we learned Anthony can take a punch. This video had everything!
Rose is such a bully hahaha

We're glad you're here! Let us know if we can ever help :-)
This video was a good reminder for me after watching all your other videos. I love the X University. I like how you categorize each part of the dance, especially if you just need extra help with one aspect. I particularly liked the arm section. I want to be a student of the this U!
We would love to have you as out "virtual student" :-)
We're really excited about X Dance University. No kidding, we think it will disrupt an entire industry :-)
Love this
We’re glad!
Thank you! This helped a lot!
You’re so very welcome. We’re happy to hear it helped!
@@countrydancex I wish your studio was here in Colorado. I'd be there for lessons for sure. Keep the videos coming!
Omg !
She scared me with that SUBSCRIBE !!!!!
🤣
Rose is fierce!
Music is so fundamental for dancing ! So explain with music please !
Music does makes dancing better :-) Thank you for the suggestion
Agreed. Danced beautiful crazy last night for the first time and I was damn near tripping over the girl because the song was so slow. Compared to a song like wear my ring it’s the opposite. Learning the steps is one thing but picking up on tempo sometimes is hard
