Sideshows presentation was actually marvelous that's the hardest I've laughed in a while, his deadpan delivery is something else
Sideshow was robbed of his "scientific community" player of the week award for his fact about freezing hot water!
i thought it's common knowledge. Since temprature is how fast molecules moving inside an object, and faster they move easier they transfer energy. so, hot water a lot of energy faster they give it away.
Also, rag on the floor in bathroom and floor same room temprature, but floor feels colder, because bigger contact surface with your feet, and since feet are warm, they will give energy to floor faster than to rag.
@@Orktosqt There is that but also how hot water vaporizes and therefor reducing it's mass in comparison to the cold water whenever the temperature gets lowered.
@@sindri1447 surely the difference in mass isn’t big enough to compensate the higher temperature though, especially considering how the vaporisation of water will decrease dramatically as soon as the hot water is put anywhere cold

@@bluestitchgaming3390 Yeah. We'll see. Sojourn has a rail gun but it seems to work differently than the ones in other shooters. Rapid fire like Soldier but has the powerful shot as a secondary thing and they always showed her doing it from close range. Doesn't seem like she's going to be a sniper with it.

By they way, Sideshow, they've basically already covered how Reaper turned bad. He was jealous about Jack being put in charge of Overwatch even though it was him in charge of the original strike team. Also being messed up by Moira's experiments on him to give him his wraith powers.
Sideshow's présentation was godlike! He somehow satirised the segment before the segment had happened.
Also, I want that character to appear more often 😂

I REALLY love the idea of having tournaments for ALL players. Schedule 4 hour slots (or whatever time frame is adequate) where you enter with your team of 6 (or solo like Bren said). Lets make it brackets of 16 teams, so if you make it to the finals you would play 4 different teams (best of 3 single series - single knockout?). Perhaps charge 20 bucks per team or something as an entry fee so that it discourages leavers, I know I would feel like I want to stay in if I had to pay an entry fee, even if its less than 5 bucks per person. The money for each team would support OW admins to monitor the tournament. In terms of ranking, if your team has an average SR of 2561 then you would be put into the "Plat" tournament that way you wouldn't get blown out by Masters players if you're a Silver or whatever. To prevent smurfs, your rank would be determined by averaging your past 3 competitive seasons, this way you wouldn't get a level 25 smurf in the Gold tournament. If you win your bracket then you would get a spray or something that says "Plat Tournament Champion" or something similar. I have a group of friends that I play with all the time and I know we would love to enter a tournament and really try to work together to win. I think it would force a lot of average players into understanding the meta and how the game is supposed to be played when there is "something" on the line.
@@Benjiizus I have never played APEX but I really like that idea too. Kind of like "betting" SR haha. There has to be some level of accountability or people will quit.

They are just making Orisa less about the shield, same reason for the changes to Sigma.
I dont think the sigma change was about that. Sigma change was more about just nerfing his skill cap.
Experimental changes: Reverse guardian angel for mercy. Instead of jumping to your teammate the teammate gets pulled to you like a road hog hook
putting the comics in the game client is actually a pretty great idea
Having a viewer in the game to read the comics or view the shorts while waiting for games to start is actually a fantastic idea. I've never read any of the comics, but I'm sure I would if such a feature were introduced.
Bren's description of a railgun like primary fire is something I've wanted for an ult for a while; imagine a new tank that charges his ult in his chest then unleashes one super powerful beam or projectile. It'd be like a D.Va bomb or junk tire, but launched like a chest missile. It'd be easy enough to block/eat/dodge the attack, but if someone successfully landed it, it would devastate anyone hit.
If I had a dollar for every time Mr x interrupted if be able to hire a host that doesn't constantly interrupt
The Mr Blizzard segment was the funniest segment on Platchat yet, and there were a lot of funny ones
Somebody tell Bren that I want to hear all of his ideas without him getting interrupted or shut down immediately
Honestly, I would like to see more passives and putting more characters into specific roles. For example, if they took away 25 hp on genji and brought his damage back up to 30 to make him even more of a “glass cannon”/burst hero.
I feel like nanoblade would be kinda broken tho because you can charge blade so much faster plus nano has damage reduction

Currently watching on my phone because I have no power because of the same snow storm, except i'm up in Dallas. Crazy how the south falls apart from a little snow.
For flash ops, I would HIGHLY recommend visiting SVB's pugs where he got a bunch of t500 streamers to play games with changes. 1Interesting change they tried was in 2cp, hybrid and payload, if you cap a point then all ults reset fo attack and defense.
God it hurt me so hard how each presentation's humor completely went over Matts head lmao I get he was trying to play the hardcore exec but man the presentation irony was so good
The reduced damage on reaper shots should make him do a bit less to tanks up close whilst the narrower spread makes him able to participate at mid-range. I see this as a great change and a win for tank mains and reaper players.
Bren's idea about doing a specific, difficult combo between 2 heroes to apply a debuff that must then be taken advantage of to get value is actually pretty good/interesting but he explained it really badly and no one really gave it a chance
Josh role played as the average 8 year old that didn't go to fortnite and still plays OW
I listen to podcasts 24/7 at work, I literally got in trouble for not doing enough because im doubled over in laughter at Sideshow's pitch.
Btw, the Mpemba effect is one of those things that has not really been replicated in experiments. It's simply the idea that, under very specific sets of conditions, hot water may freeze faster than cold water. In general, that is not the case at all. Enthalpy is a state function (what matters is where you are at, not how you got there) and the only way you freeze water is by decreasing enthalpy.
I actually enjoy playing orisa and it’s because when you play her you feel like you have a large impact on the game where you can make the other tanks play into you how you want. This buff only helps the semi aggro orisa play style and allows you to take more angles to properly control the flow of the game in your favor. I’m a high masters and gm orisa/Zarya two trick for reference.
The start of the presentation section had me in tears

Efi Oladele: Super genius girl who built Orisa.
Also Efi Oladele: Puts Orisa's CPU in the head exposed to headshots, instead of inside of the body.
I've always said Orisa's ultimate should give either CC or damage resistance to her team instead of damage boosting. It'd be amazing and make her unique, because right now bongo is basically just a worse valkyrie.
This might be the best episode yet, honestly.

half of these episodes are of matt trying to be funny and overstepping everytime, you can always see josh and bren playing along at first the the joy slowly fade away as he just keeps going.

Brens tournament system is actually already in rocket league. However teams are 3 and only 5 minutes so you never really get leavers.

I agree with Bren here. If fortify can stop and charging rein, bopping lucio/dva, or wrecking ball knockback, getting slapped in the head by a tracer and dying in like 3 clips isn't exactly living up to the name. It makes her feel more able to survive and stronger just from popping it.
Why people hate Orisa but love Heavy? Heavy is just Orisa whithout a deploiable shield, and i don't think people would like Orisa if they remove that shield.
Probably because Heavy is like a mix of Bastion and Orisa. A walking Bastion I guess you could say, which is way funner than Orisa standing still and shielding off cooldown the whole game

Make zen like a disc priest, 5hps on orb and damage translates to heal on orbed target, then his ult can apply healing orb on all targets. Making ult also very mechanically skill based
I’d love to see presentations to blizzard every other month, seriously though I would love if the shorts or comics were actually accessible in the client
To be fair, the idea on which the hats suggestion was built upon is good. Having minor changes to skins and not the overall would be good, I think team fortress did it and it made some notable players recognizable. Maybe not hats, but maybe insignia on rein's shield or anywhere on the character's signature features.
also I wonder if hats would mess with our perception on the hitbox because that would be annoying.
Overwatch NEEDS an in-game tournament system like the Clashes in LoL! Many players, myself included, would enjoy that way more than playing ranked, because at the very least you'd end up in more games with teammates who actually care about trying to win; even if the matches were more challenging, they'd still be more fun for people who like to tryhard. And it would provide an environment that was more conducive to playing in a 6-stack, which is pretty fun and arguably one of the best ways to play Overwatch, but is basically disincentivized by the current ranked system. Hoping to see that come to the game someday.

If I was going to do something in Experimental, I would bring back Hanzo's Scatter Arrow and Make Genji only melee again.
I've always thought that giving Widow target-penetrating bullets would be a really fun mechanic (50% of damage to the person behind the other person)

If I was to do an experimental mode, I would add movement speeds for each character. A robotic ninja should not move at the same speed as dwarf or a fat guy with fishing hook and a canteen.
to the suggestion reinforce made to moira healing and damaging at the same time. Since for the most part you would have to be near the enemies to deal damage, idea would be, that she poops out the heal to the back
The most important thing I got from this video was learning Bren's name is spelled "Brennon" and not "Brennan"

For the changes, if I was on the panel I'd make every splash damage ability do slightly more damage but have way less splash area.
As a former Winston main that now shreds Winston like paper with Tracer(with a guilty conscience); I really like the Winston buff. More of that please.

Im very much a fan of the Orisa buff. Cause as is her fortify only works against bad players or while looking away from enemies. Meaning that its alot like a rien hard shielding after taking a bunch of damage. With the buff it means she can actually push past her shield (making her exposed to ana bio nades and making a Zarya off tank a good choice) in order to take space. Orisa in the Live patch is just a mini bastion turret that doesnt do much. She sits there shielding people and spamming damage into shields. IMO the buff would make a lot more comps viable (like Orisa Zarya, Orisa Hog, Orisa Rien Rush, etc.) instead of the 3-4 that we see. (RIen Zarya Rush, Orisa Sigma Bunker, Winston DVA Dive).
