#OWL2021 #Overwatch - Ігри
what a time to be alive
That's kinda crazy cosy I thought you were dead in this series 😳
@@jimhobson275 damn bro why you gotta do him like that hes already dead
It's funny how the Fuel are getting hyped up for a third time, even though the same crappy org will ruin it again. It's really like a self-fullfilling prophecy.
#BURNBLUE
may be a Shock simp, but it’s nice to see you guys finally burn blue.
GET JAKE TO WATCH THE GAME AGAINST LONDON IN STAGE 1 SEMI FINALS PLS
This is the one
DUDE YES I REMEMBER THAT MATCH SO VIVIDLY
I mean tbf, London couldn't beat Outlaws besides that one game like forever. regular season up to like mid way season 2 Outlaws owned London for the most part
@@CrazeeAdam yeah Houston was London’s team that they had massive issues with no matter how good they were no clue why
or better yet he can watch the 2017 USA world cup game against South Korea
Watching this makes me understand why the old "gods" of the game couldn't keep up. This is just fucking chaos lol
some of them couldn't. But if you look at SBB, Fleta, Ryujehong, Birdring, Profit, Soon, Linkzr, Carpe, Neptuno, all of these players really did keep up with everyone. They may be few, but they are there
@@CrazeeAdam even more respect to them, able to keep up with the rapid change
@@mikeymoxon you know that crusty coached the uprising? The team that dominated stage 3? Or people like coach moon (the coach for shanghai in season 3) for the valiant who were the 2nd best in the season standings (and won + dominated stage 4 i think?)
@@King-yyy + LA Valiant were the favourites going into the playoffs but then lost to a very hot Spitfire which as we know won the whole thing
@@CrazeeAdam LINKZR DIDN’T KEEP UP LOOOOL
LG evil games and bring on Jake Super and Avast!!
Finally they can have more than four ppl
YES
surely do this
I love this so much, I remember watching every single game during season one and loving every minute of it. You guys should do a lot more of these.
I really enjoyed this episode, nice to hear people who's life revolves around Overwatch talk about old gameplay. Really hits in the feels for us that have played since the game has been out. I would love to see y'all go over the S1 Stage 1 Finals or the OWWC 2017 Finals match. I think those matches would be extremely fun to look through. I look forward to next weeks episode.
Would love to see 2018 grand finals to continue the discussion of would 2020 boston beat London.
I really think that take was ultra-hot. They really think Jerry and Colourhex could keep up with Birdring and Profit? Fusions and Punk on Orisa Hog might be pretty good actually, but Gesture+Fury were excellent at that. And Boston haven't exactly nailed the team coordination either. I dunno, I can see them beating the day 1 Dynasty and Fuel, but I can't see them beating the Grand Finals Spitfire.
@@SeantommyE i think they hit the nail on the head with how even if boston look terrible vs every other team now, if you took 2020 boston with all their knowledge, they would still out perform 2018 spitfire. There has been so much improvement in Pro OW, that Boston would just out smart London. you have to think that the game now is less about mechanics (like it was in 2018) and so much more about teamwork and knowledge. even if jerry and CH got out mechanic'd they would find the solution with resources, space, and area control
@@owners4293 they would just go goats lol
Please do a 2018 grand finals of London Vs Philadelphia Fusion, or the London Match Vs Gladiators so that Bren and Sideshow can leak their experience at the London Spitfires facility after their game loss
Watching the most OP iteration of Mercy here is insane. She enabled SO much of the early sloppy play in S1. Bren nailed it 1:15:40
REINFORCE DIDN'T GET KICKED OFF THIS TIME PogU
Now I really want to see Platchat invite a Korean player and watch some other old game from OWL S1. Not sure who to bring honestly, dont really know their English knowledge. But imagine getting someone like Ryujehong to come on and describe the situation from the other side of the fence.
Ark would be amazing
Life long Fuel fan. Watching the first 2 maps made me feel that excitement for the team I haven’t felt since.
I remembered how amazing taimou's hook and ult on the Zen at the end of junkertown was. The idea of keeping the ulting Zen of the point was blowing my mind back then :D
@@darkerbot1337 its time to feel that excitement again. 2021 is our year to not be a middle of the pack team, we may not have the superstar western personality team, but we have Baby Doha, who will lead the team to victory.
For historical accuracy, I'm going to say - NA Production
PAID AUDIENCE
This was the first OWL game I watched and it was a lot of fun having you guys go over it again. You should definitely do this more in the future when off season news is slow.
Loving the new content. It's quite the eye opener to see the difference between OWL then and now, and be great to see more deep dives into the past (I think it would be cool to go into the before times of OWL, and explore the hallmark games that would shape teams/players for S1. Maybe some games from past world cups too, idk). Also the Contenders episode w/ Tridd and Heurix was a great insight/intro to the tier 2 scene. Well done and thanks for keeping the content fresh in this off-season, appreciate it.
This is sick, thank you for doing this. Looking forward to you guys pumping out more content as well.
thanks London for finally announcing the tank and support lines after plat chat.
Please do one for the Apex S3 final, back then that was the most epic game ever
It's so crazy to think that S3 Boston could've went unbeaten in S1 just by playing together.
Edit: this was before they discussed it in the actual podcast btw
Nah they wouldn't have beat London, New York, Valiant or Gladiators. Those teams still had more individual talent and that just wins games in 2018
@@yungardnr wasnt philly pretty good in s1?
@@yungardnr But they literally beat all of those teams in their 10-0 Stage 3 run?
@@nowun6043 He said season 3 Boston not season 1 Boston. Season 1 Boston had Striker and Kasper in a time where Gamsu and Note were some of the best in the game
@@yungardnr they went 10-0 after dreamkazper got banned, they played with mistakes and striker
REVIEW OLD SIDESHOW TF2 GAMES
Quality content with no degree of scuff at all. I think you're completely right in that throwback gameplay reviews & discussion would make for a fantastic side project.
I hope this continues it was really interesting to go back in time to see the old age OWL
I love this podcast episode, cause so many memories, getting into professional overwatch back in the beginning was so much fun and seeing the game evolve has been awesome
This was awesome. More throwbacks please!
I only started watching around March last year so it was really good to look back at the absolutely superb gameplay from season one🙃
This was great, do more of these please!!
Would love to see more of these, it's really interesting looking back at how the game has evolved not just through comps and hero balances, but the level of play itself.
im here from plat chat valorant... I literally havent watched the OWL since this lmao twas fun to watch it back with yall
I started watching 2019 but I've gone back and watched season 1 and Apex and all of that. That said I really really love this and I hope you guys do more of these
This was great. Would really enjoy a few more nostalgia episodes like this
this was great, looking forward to more look backs to older games
Loved this!! Keep em coming!
I wasn't at the arena for that game, but two days later I watched the LA Valiant 3-0 the Fuel at the Blizzard Arena. I remember the chaos of the 8-7 Junkertown, maybe one of the craziest individual maps of the 2018 season. Good times.
i remember OWL week 1 like it was yesterday, after watching it i couldn’t wait for the next week. it was my first experience watching esports and i had one friend to talk to it about, we would discuss it every week
Bro I loved this episode! Ya'll should definitely do more, especially some of the iconic series from season 1. Maybe one from each stage to see how to meta's evolved over time leading up to the season one grandfinals
I’d love to see more of these!
More of this kind of content plssss love this
Please do more episodes like 2018 finals, haven’t watched Overwatch content in months but this brought me back.
I love this content. Would love to see the Boston London match in stage three reviewed
Do the rogue game that Ended Envys 40+ map win streak, Back when everyone thought Envy was unbeatable then Akm unkoe and the boys beat them down and I'm a fuel fan lol
loved this type of content
Bren: We've ran out of news to cover
London Spitfire: Am I a joke to you?
«News»
they want multiple topics to talk about, not just one team picking up a few players
Super fun content and great idea! I vividly remember watching this live. Maybe try reviewing some APEX stuff or really just anything from 2017-2018. My only criticism is that I wish this was longer
The Winston int reminds me of how Gesture played hog in the GF, he would go super deep and then survive by getting nano d
probably already been mentioned but wrt the sombra talk at 1:16:45 -ish: at this point in time sombra didn't have permanent invis yet OR a permanent translocator. translocator would only stay up for a certain amount of time before it destroyed itself and it would go on cooldown. it made a really obnoxious beeping noise in the background to let you know it was still up.
Shanghai Dragons vs Houston Outlaws in Stage 4 of 2018 please. It was Shanghai Dragons day, and Diya tried SO HARD to deadlift the dragons into a victory on Lijiang. The crowd was so hype after a 1-1 round score, but then the dragons completely threw it away on the third round.
I also need your big brains' analysis on why Spree was considered a god Zarya during Season 1, but never really had success during GOATS in Season 2.
i literally rewatched this like 3 days ago before this premier lol
Loved this!
I really enjoyed this. Im one of those super fans who didn't start playing/watching until 2019. Right at the same time Baptiste joined. It was cool to get a breakdown of how things have changed.
Fleta is the only one from these teams actually still playing, yikes!!
Tobi still plays he just hasn't got a team for next season. But was on Seoul
@@01Grytz technically he's not playing atm, but what you say is true he was playing and seoul got second place too. funny thing is that munchkin is now playing valorant, he couldn't keep up with the times at all either.
@@stayedleopard4 yeah and xQc is one of the biggest streamers in the world
The best player survived arguably right? Just looking at everyone. Him and Ryujehong were probably the best players on these teams as they were, and they both survived a pretty long time in the league, with Jehong being ousted unceremoniously last year on Titans. But yeah all Fleta needed was a change of place and to not be wasted on the bench half the time
@@CrazeeAdam tobi as well, hes actually probably the only player that consistantly improved over the 3 seasons
As someone who wasn't watching OWL at the start this was so weird to watch, just absolute chaos, with you mentioning 2020 Boston vs 2018 teams, I think the 2018 finals should be next up to see what yas make of it looking back.
You should do this more. Watch classic matches, I love it.
I'd really love to see some of the Apex finals on this as well as just even the Stage Finals of Season 2. This was a great ep.
this is excellent content, guys
I'd love to hear more about the APEX days and games from 2017 because I joined the scene around 2018 and never really got to see much from those days. And having players as guests from those teams on discussing what was going on at the time could be really interesting aswell
This is so good. I was so hyped for this game, and it's so cool to hear Custa's nostalgia/horror while watching this. Fucking love it.
I’d love to see some of the stage finals from season one, particularly the first 3
I would really enjoy it if you guys reviewed the season 1 finals
You gotta watch the 2017 CyberpowerPC Extreme Gaming Series Spring Invitational. The beginning of the Chad man himself Super! When Matthew “Cashew” Delisi, Avast, Rob420, Voll, Train and Jake played for LG Evil. The Final match of the tourney, LG Evil vs Counter Logic Gaming. This tournament was the first time I watched a team since the Seagull NRG and truly fell in love. And being an NRG fan boy, to then San Fran fan boy, I was so hyped when they picked up Super!!!
Surely blizzard could hook up platchat with this overwatch patch version so we could have a special vintage timmy tournament
I don’t think Blizzard can actually do that. I think I remember a dev update, forum post or something where somebody asked about classic OW being available and devs said they just don’t have that info, code or whatever anymore. A tournament on old ass OW would be so fun though
Imagine a goats tournament with launch brig. Actually don’t
You guys talked about evolution of comps and metas . It would be a really cool series to compare early dive to evolved dive or week 1 2019 goats to end of season goats etc.
Please do this again with more 2018 OWL games. So good.
im loving the analysis of how overwatch changed over the years.
The 2018 grand final! Or a Rouge game with Reinforce!
LG evil was my first fav team, but they were Hammers Esports at the time. I don’t know how I stumbled into the carbon series it was the first time I saw pro ow. I remember seeing Jake and Mangachu in a pharah 1v1 and I just thought wow this is awesome, what a ride it’s been since. Cheers everyone old and new
I would love to see some of the old games that Reinforce played in XD
I love this content, more please
Could watch one of the season 1 stage 4 matches where brig was dominant before most teams realised how busted she was, like a dallas match with mickie on brig
would LOVE to see a review of another big 2018 match, or the 2018 finals, with a coach from that era as a guest! some more insight as to the strats and knowledge of the time would be very interesting. or anything Jake or Reinforce played in haha
Best episode yet
WAIT. Where's the T-Mobile story?!
TBH I think their partnership contract may have ended at the end of 2020. The sponsor isn't listed in the description like it has been in literally every other PlatChat video (I wouldn't have caught this if it weren't for your comment).
@@DanHD04 That is possible. But then, we also don't have Bren's Player of the Week! TRAVESTY.
@@DanHD04 my 5g coverage notlikethis
They also took down the T-mobile signs and cups. No more story and POTW sadge.
Also no T -Logo and mugs in the shot
this was sooooo good
I would love to see a retro of a GOATS game. It'd be wild in hindsight to look at the game as it was then, because the greatest part of this video has been looking at the meta/strategies and how they evolved.
Maybe it would be fun to go right back and look at something from before the single hero limit
Stage 1 finals just to see exactly how far things came from the first week to the last would be awesome
gotta watch that 2015 game that ZP first casted that he keeps referencing where nico played reaper
I remember this match (and the few earlier in the day) being my first exposure to pro OW. I was blown away by every part of this match. Now it looks like an absolute clown fiesta.
Honestly this is the best content I've seen in ages. Custa's insights to the teams mentality going in was great. Please get other ex players that aren't in the league now like some of the Mayhem boys, OG Shock players (Dhak?), Glads (Nomy, Big G, Shaz?) anyone that doesn't care about spilling 3 year old juice would be amazing.
Do a old vod of reinforce or avast that sounded cool. Thanks for the episode cheers
Review the 2019 play-in match London vs Shanghai for the last playoff spot. Absolutely fantastic Overwatch.
So weird seeing this, when I first got into OWL it was right before season 2 so I was watching contenders Korea and runaway just destroying with doom sombra dive
Would love this as a side series!
Watching this really makes me appreicate the devs and balance team
Oh man the memories. Good times.
Watching the 2018 season finals with Custa would be hype.
Cam we just watch the clip of Bren throwing an orange at the screen in OWL?
god the nostalgio, plz do more season 1 reviews
I want to see a london game reviewed since they won the first season maybe stage 1 finals or the gladiators turn around or finals or whatever
I ´d like to see Season 1 Stage 3 week 3 Boston vs London... to see the improvement from the beginning to the midstage of the season and also a very memoral reverse sweep match ^.^
So Reinforce said at 2:00 that Dallas had signed Akm and Unkoe from Rogue, but that isnt true. The game was on the 2018-01-11 and Akm joined as free agent on the 13th February. Unkoe joined the team on April 2nd as trade for Custa.
I’m excited to see what episode 69 will be
As a gold player, them talking about the game in this way helps me a lot. Just to think about the macro game in a logical way
Watching the hitscans get away with highway robbery was so frustrating
For season 1 matches to look at, would Shanghai Dragons vs Dallas Fuel (the one that Bren believes he caused Effect to pop off) or Shanghai Dragons vs Florida Mayhem (the one that went to map 5 and ended on Nepal) be worth looking back on?
I would love to see them watch the first playoff game between the glads and the spitfire. Y'know, the great bamboozle game
2018 Finals? To compare between the start and end of the season and how teams developed etc.
We need to see Reinforce play!!
Super and Jake also played on LG Evil so if you could grab them, plus Avast maybe Voll. Oh man that'd be a good time.
Would love to see the famous Striker clutch series against London
custa talking about dallas trying the same thing over and over even if it wasn’t working gave me flashbacks to their hanamura point B attacks, watching that was torturous
