If u put a piece of wood square against ur fence to pack it out u can cut the dado in 1 go without having to spin it round... if u have the cutting width on the saw. Just a tip
I could watch your videos all day lol nice job on this. I've been able to use up all of my scrap wood by watching your videos. Made way more room in my shop lol
Been binge watching your videos since I discovered your channel a few months back and have really enjoyed everyone of them… But must say you got me with the “only got the one bottle …wine doesn’t last long in this house”…😂😂😂 Your videos are not only inspirational for those who love wood working but also a ball as far as your capacity to laugh of your own mistakes or lackings. Bravo Keith! Keep going and thank you for all you share!
That is pretty awesome, I don't think my dealt has a depth stop, I am not sure, but now you have me wondering if it does. Thanks for taking the time to share this video with us, I will derfinatley be checking out your new saw as well. Have a blessed week.
don't know why people always try and tell you something you did wrong looks great and well done mate !!!! thank you and will be making one for my son !!!
I have exactly the same Evolution mitre saw and I'm slightly happy to see that pretty much none of the sawdust on your one makes it into the dust collection bag either!
Count me in to the dust breaking for the border. Still like the saw though as it is a flexible tool and cuts nails and s**t and metal with a single blade
I've had the same mitre saw for a while, had it second hand so never got a instruction manual, I thought I knew everything it could do, obviously not. I didn't know about the bit to adjust the height! Thanks!
Suberp video.I have an evolution mitre saw and love the dado whatever it is you did.I am no woodworker but want to make some of these and hopefully they will be good enough to impress people..
Great video as usual. If you put a bit of scrap in front of the bit of project wood, you can cut the dado in one lot of passes, no need to turn around the wood
Nice timing Keith. my local chemist has asked if I can help her make a wine rack from pallet wood. She has the pallet all stripped ready, so I will point her in yyour direction to see what she thinks, thanks for sharing keep up the good work,CheersDve
just watched your wine rack vidio, and I can tell that you were learning how to make vidios at that time, now youre a million year's ahead, but the wine rack was still a good view,do you still use it?take care and stay happy.
BTW would you consider to make a special video for non-English viewers about naming the tools, joints and screws etc (with subtitles of course). That would be great. Thanks!
Another great video. My daughter has asked me to make something similar. How long do you think it could be using your method of dados? Think she’s looking at 100cm long. TIA
There are several components to doing a pro job. One plan I found which succeeds in merging these is the Pavas Grape Plan (google it if you're interested) definately the best info i've heard of. Check out this great resource.
You probably know this already but........by using an auxilliary fence to push the wood out further, you can cut your dados quicker! ;) Nice job though!!!!
Keith, I'm curious [watching this in 2019] would you re-saw those back panels, if making it now? They seem a little chunky/overkill [don't kill me - tho' you have the tools]. I'm just wondering...
Hey there got a question I'm a novice woodworker but I'm starting to get much better at my project love watching you but I have to ask how do u work out what to price your finished products out as I'm stuck feel like ill charge either to much or not enough so any help would be appreciated thanks
Please do as it would be so helpful I'm just doing it as a hobby at the moment to learn and get my skill and knowledge app but I mainly do projects for family and friends I always get cost back on material but never know what to charge afterwards as I don't do it in days I do it when I've got an hour or an hour there as I work two jobs and have family commitments
Loved the video the rack turned out very well but I noticed you keep saying dado joint, that's American I'm the UK we call it a housing joint. Nothing a go just letting you know mate.
Well I'm a fully qualified carpenter and joiner and when I was learning in college all the books and teachers said housing the only time I I heard someone say dado is the American UA-camrs, even Paul sellers and a couple of other British UA-cam channels call it housing, people can call it a dado if they like I'm fine with that but the correct term in the UK is a housing joint and when I start making my videos soon I'll call it a housing joint.
If u put a piece of wood square against ur fence to pack it out u can cut the dado in 1 go without having to spin it round... if u have the cutting width on the saw. Just a tip
Great use of old pallet wood. Thanks

Sir,
you are a true craftsman. great video and you explained it so anyone could build it. GREAT job.

I have exactly the same Evolution mitre saw and I'm slightly happy to see that pretty much none of the sawdust on your one makes it into the dust collection bag either!
+Mark Alger haha yes the dust bag was utterly pointless

I enjoyed this project. Of course I love wine so love wine related projects. But I also like the reminder of simple projects using pallet wood.
Nice work from cheap wood. Excellent combination. I have the same Mak nailer. Cracking bit of kit. Cheers for sharing
As always, a pleasure watching old to new builds, well done Martin 👍🏼😊
Late to the party but new to wood work . Have the same saw (second hand) so may try this . New sub
I like the use of the masking tape to make clean up easier. Thanks for the tip.
Great video as usual. If you put a bit of scrap in front of the bit of project wood, you can cut the dado in one lot of passes, no need to turn around the wood
+Steve Day yep good tip
I've decided to make this for my work secret santa gift. Cheers Keith
Nice idea 👍 need to start knocking out some xmas stuff too really not left it too late as usual 😂
the end where you didn't have enough wine to display gave me a good laugh! great rum rack!
Nice timing Keith. my local chemist has asked if I can help her make a wine rack from pallet wood. She has the pallet all stripped ready, so I will point her in yyour direction to see what she thinks, thanks for sharing keep up the good work,CheersDve
Nice build Kieth ,wine or rum does not last long in our house either ha.
Fair play to you, Darren. Keep it going. Thanks for reminding me about Bri-Wax.
That’s awesome!
Nice little project, I will try it myself. I don't have a bandsaw but I do have a Jigsaw I hope that will be okay.

I'm going to have a go at this one I think, Gives me an excuse to stock up on some wine!! :)
Another great video. My daughter has asked me to make something similar. How long do you think it could be using your method of dados? Think she’s looking at 100cm long. TIA
I love unintentional puns. "These bits here are pointless.....let's cut points in them."
+Milk Plays haha I totally missed that one! Pretty funny

parabens muito swolll, bacana... abraço rio de janeiro...
Very nice. good job.
What size of drill bit did you use for the wine glass holder?
Keith, I'm curious [watching this in 2019] would you re-saw those back panels, if making it now? They seem a little chunky/overkill [don't kill me - tho' you have the tools]. I'm just wondering...
Yeah that’s a good shout 👍
Get yourself an old radial arm saw for the dados.
Nice tools man!! I have just a hammer, but ill try to do it anyway... 😁 😉
Hey there got a question I'm a novice woodworker but I'm starting to get much better at my project love watching you but I have to ask how do u work out what to price your finished products out as I'm stuck feel like ill charge either to much or not enough so any help would be appreciated thanks
I may do a future video about this! It’s tricky but David Piccuito has a good video on this ua-cam.com/video/Uu_qFDanGPY/v-deo.html

How many mitre saws have you had now? Four?
Errrr, five I think! I had a rubbish one, then the Axminster, then the Evo, Hikoki, then Milwaukee.
@@RagnBoneBrown I have the evo, it looks the same. Did you not like it? Great content BTW. Thanks.

*that you could make groves
Stick to martial arts Chuck ;-)
Awesome work! How do you call that metal triangle tool in English? I must buy one! Thanks!
In the UK we call it a Speed Square :)
Here in America, we also call it a speed square.
MKRM27 I think it is the UK's turn to call something by a different name, we Americans will pick up the next one.
Great build as usual Keith just a quick question where did you get the nail gun ?
+Shane woulfe thanks, got the nailer from Amazon
Loved the video the rack turned out very well but I noticed you keep saying dado joint, that's American I'm the UK we call it a housing joint. Nothing a go just letting you know mate.
+Cameron Adams thanks Cameron, although now dado is in my vocabulary I doubt I'll remember to call it a housing joint haha
I work with a joiner in the UK. we call it a Dado also. only people pre 60s call it a housing joint xD
Paul sellers calls it a housing Dado actually
How come on UA-cam anything anyone said turns out being a fight I was giving a tip to brown and everyone just flames me down.
You sound like Russell brand lol 😆
I cant find the plans on your web page.
They’re on my Patreon page
