We currently do not have a definite timeline on the availability of the Headphone Zone X FiiO JD1 Type C variant. However, once we do have it, we'll surely update the same on our website.
I'm a newbie. Would there be any performance difference between the type C variant and the 3.5mm variant? My phone has a 3.5mm jack, so I'm tempted to order that variant.
The FiiO JD1 Type-C variant was recently restocked but has gone out of stock again. We will update you soon on when it will be available again. Stay tuned!
Hello @headphone_zone , is there any possible way that this (JD1 C-Type) will be available in stock? or it's just a gimmick? I just wanna try the C-Type variant any possibilities to get it (waiting since more then couple of days and not there in stock) 'help asap'
It should work. However, as we've not paired the Headphone Zone X FiiO JD1 Type C variant with the mentioned device, we can't say for sure. you best bet would be to try it out.
Basically a Type C termination's main purpose is to make them compatible with the Type-C port. But if you ask us we would always suggest you to go for the 3.5mm termination IEM and pair them with a DAC, it ensures that you get the highest quality audio decoding which mostly isn’t possible with the inbuilt DACs in our phones and laptops. So if you’re someone who wants the best quality audio output adding an external DAC is a great way of doing so.
In our opinion, a balanced sound signature would be an ideal choice for gaming as it'll enable you to hear the details and minute nuances with precision and without any exaggeration.
Will it work properly with my iPad Air 5 if not please suggest me one which i can use with my iPad and enjoy the best output mostly the preference is content watching
If you prefer a balanced sound signature with a bit of bass then you should go for the Moondrop Chu II DSP and in case you prefer a V shaped sound signature, then you should check out the Headphone Zone X Fiio JD1.
May i please know, if the 3.5 mm version too gets the 5 sound signature options or is it limited only to the type c version. If 3.5 version doesn’t have this option, what options or ways are there to achieve this.
The 3.5mm variant does not offer the 5 sound signatures; those are exclusive to the Type-C variant. If you want to change the tuning of the 3.5mm variant, you can use an app like Wavelet.
Both are excellent IEMs, and the choice depends on your preference. If you enjoy more bass, go for the JD1. If you prefer a balanced sound, the Chu 2 DSP is a better option.
"I want to buy this because of the cable with microphone & volume buttons. One Headphone guru said for moondrop chu2 it's loose, another said it will connect. If 0.78mm is the standard, shouldn't it fit everywhere? Kindly reply ,so I can buy it accordingly."
Different IEMs come with different connection types, so it's not always the case that one cable will work for all. While 0.78mm is a common standard, there can still be variations in connector design. If you let us know the IEM you're looking to upgrade the cable for, we can assist you further in finding the right option.
Unfortunately, currently, we don't have a cable with the specific requirements you mentioned, including an L-shaped 3.5mm termination with a microphone and volume keys button.
@@headphone_zone Please confirm, if "Fiio JD1, which comes with the L shaped 3.5 mm cable with mic +volume key button" is compatible with Chu 2 (0.78mm pin).
It's not so much about one being better than the other, but rather about what suits your needs and preferences. The JD1 is available in both Type-C and 3.5mm jack variants, catering to different users and devices. If your device supports Type-C, the Type-C variant can offer convenient connectivity without the need for external DAC. On the other hand, if you prefer compatibility with a wider range of devices, the 3.5mm jack variant might be the better choice. Ultimately, it comes down to which option aligns best with your setup and usage requirements.
The 7Hz Salnotes zero has a balanced sound signature whereas the Headphone Zone X FiiO - JD1 has a V-shaped sound signature. So we'll recommend to purchase the IEMs as per your music preferences and requirements.

If bass is a preference you should check out the KZ Castor as it has an extra bass sound signature or you can check out the Headphone Zone X Tangzu Wan'er S.G.
If you prefer a V shaped sound signature, you should go for the Headphone Zone X FiiO JD1 and in case you prefer a balanced sound signature with a bit of bass, you should check out the Moondrop Chu 2 DSP.

It's working bro.
Will it's type c variant cable work with tangzu waner s.g ?
No, it won't as the connecting pin type are different on both the IEMs.
How come no price is mentioned 😮... would love to know how much they cost?😊
The Headphone Zone X FiiO - JD1 Type C variant is priced at ₹ 1,699/-
I am new to the iem community which one should I get the 3.5 mm or type c what's the difference
Does the type c varient support laptop type c ports
Yes, it does.
Please make type c variant available

Which sound signature good for gaming?
Please reply
In our opinion, a balanced sound signature would be an ideal choice for gaming as it'll enable you to hear the details and minute nuances with precision and without any exaggeration.
Will it work properly with my iPad Air 5 if not please suggest me one which i can use with my iPad and enjoy the best output

Could you elaborate if you're looking for IEMs with a Type C or will be pairing them with a DAC to use with your device?
Type c
Please suggest one and also suggest with dac so i can see accordingly??…
@@headphone_zone ???…..
What about iPhone users wich lightning cable
And how purchase good 👍 one price
You can pair the Headphone Zone X FiiO - JD1 with the iFi Audio- Go Link to amp up the overall music experience.
Moondrop chu 2 dsp or jd1 which is better?
If you prefer a balanced sound signature with a bit of bass then you should go for the Moondrop Chu II DSP and in case you prefer a V shaped sound signature, then you should check out the Headphone Zone X Fiio JD1.
newbie to audio here- will this support high res audio that's being offered in Apple Music?
All IEMs will support Hi-Res, they don't have a specification like that. It depends on the DAC you're using.
Undoubtedly, the JD1 stock will be brought back.
Yes.
Does it works with iphone12?
You will need to pair it with the iFi Audio- Go Link.
@@headphone_zone thank you.
This or the moondrop chu II which is better type c version?
@@headphone_zone future upgrades: moondrop chu 2 , salnotes zero & truthear hexa/ hola. Particularly a L shaped 3.5mm termination cable with a microphone & volume keys button.

@@headphone_zone Two months is too much 🙂
Mere pass extra pada hai kisi ko Lena ho to batana
Another doubt , type c variant or 3.5mm jack with a dac which is better
It's not so much about one being better than the other, but rather about what suits your needs and preferences. The JD1 is available in both Type-C and 3.5mm jack variants, catering to different users and devices. If your device supports Type-C, the Type-C variant can offer convenient connectivity without the need for external DAC. On the other hand, if you prefer compatibility with a wider range of devices, the 3.5mm jack variant might be the better choice. Ultimately, it comes down to which option aligns best with your setup and usage requirements.
Will it work on iphone 15 plus?
Yes, the type c version will. Im also thinking of buying these for using it with my ipad pro but i will wanna see more reviews before i buy it
Yes, it will work. Although do keep in mind the microphone will not work on iOS devices.
how is sound quality compared to KZ castor bass edition
The KZ Castor has an extra bass sound signature whereas the Headphone Zone X FiiO - JD1 has a V shaped sound signature.
I was just going to buy the salnotes zero for editing and gaming as a begineer but now I'm confused
The 7Hz Salnotes zero has a balanced sound signature whereas the Headphone Zone X FiiO - JD1 has a V-shaped sound signature. So we'll recommend to purchase the IEMs as per your music preferences and requirements.
