Thank you for the video of the RIO. It was one of my favorite places in Vegas. Hopefully Hyatt will bring it back soon!! I would love them to bring back the Parade in the Sky! Oh and the Carnival World Buffet is the biggest Buffet I have ever been to. It was huge!!
We stayed at the Rio on May 26&27th. The place was a ghost town. The room was dated but clean. Asked for 3 extra pillows as they are SMALL. I got 1 extra as staff said they were short on pillows. Most restaurants were no longer operational. The ones open were overpriced. While sleeping, someone gained access to our room with a key card but quickly left when I confronted them. Security checked the key card reader and said we were the only ones who had accessed the room??? Very disappointing to see the RIO decline to its current state as it was previously a nice property.
If you're looking for a cheap sleep/nice pool area and don't care if you're off strip, even with the $45 resort fee, this is your place. Unless someone comes into your room.
Someone pulled the fire alarm a couple time one night in the Masquerade Tower while we were there a few weeks ago. Even so, it was an incredible vacation. Their suites are amazing

Rio always reminds me of The Anna Nicole show, when she stayed at one of the luxury suites
I used to go to Vegas about three times a year, normally staying at the Rio. It was fun, the gambling and the dining. I didn't mind losing, because I was winning enough that it was fun. Around 2016 Rio's slots seemed to be tighter and I wasn't winning as much, if at all. I quit going entirely by 2017 and haven't been back. Haven't gambled since and don't miss it. It was nice to see this video though. I see I haven't missed much. I doubt that the casinos miss me. They have the resort fees to keep them warm.

Great recap. I was there a few weeks ago, March 7-11. The price was right. $19.99 a night +the $40 resort fee. Can't beat that.

I spent more time at the Rio than any other Resort in Vegas. I miss the Voodoo lounge too. We will be staying there for 2 weeks through Christmas this year, 2022. Years he Comedy Cellar is the best house for funny people in Vegas. The Masquerade suites is the largest room I have ever stayed in, and it has a steam room / Jacuzzi area in the room!
How did you guys get to the top floor? I went and the elevator wasn't working. Did somebody help escort you to get those rooftop shots? Great video btw 👍
Hi NBAsmacktalk glad you enjoyed the video my friend and yes, we were given access to top floor by a hotel staff member who recognized us while we were filming the casino floor.
This is so depressing to watch. We used to stay there all the time. Voodoo Lounge was always jumping. Great views a night.

great video thanks.. i thought the place was getting renovated at the end of last year? it seems like caesars always allow their properties to go to crap and not put a dime back into their casinos, and then sell them. hopefully the new owners will fix the place back up again!!
The Hotel towers are the first thing of interest to Caesars. To date there are no plans to renovate the casino or mall.
Is the pool open?
Yes, main pool is open Friday - Sunday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
