I think I can explain a little bit about the Tundra as I seen it first hand because it happened to a neighbor of mine. He bought a car at our local dealership. He had it for about three months and got into an accident. After he filed his claim for the insurance, he missed a payment because he was fighting with the insurance company about the claim. Then it was repossessed. Then after it was repossessed, his insurance company dropped his coverage. He actually sued the insurance company for dropping his coverage without any reason. The insurance company had to buy him a new car AND cover his insurance for a whole year. The same thing might have happened with the Tundra owner
Hey Randy, in your video yesterday, you mentioned your new strategy for buying repos and flipping them. I have to reiterate my love for your channel. In my opinion, you have been hands-down the best automotive channel on UA-cam! Because of the incredible fascinating variety of vehicles you bring to the channel! The vipers, the Aston Martin, the rambler! The Monte Carlo, Mercedes I could go on and on! But beyond that you’re incredible enthusiasm and excitement and appreciation for these vehicles is so contagious! And beyond that you’re sharing of your personal life with your fiancé and Nick! The road trips with monkey wrench, Mike! Power tour! Michael from Santas workshop the two of you relationship and knowledge! And you was a standup guy and what And the path you’ve come from! You enrich my day every day! I am handicap and in care home. Missed an episode for years. You’re a very important part of my days! That being said, I will follow your channel no matter what format you take however, flipping we and the kind of cars you would do that with doesn’t really sound as exciting as what you have done, so hopefully you’ll still continue with the incredible content and smorgasbord of cars in your personal fleet!
Randy I think you're right about the hood on that food escape flying open and causing that damage. If I'm not mistaken, Ford recalled a bunch of cars around that time for the hood flying open while driving. Also, the thing in the Tundra is a built in dashcam. It's a factory option.
Just a quick thing on the insurance.. sometimes it takes the insurance company 60 to 90 days to determine if it’s fixable or not. If it is totaled the payout sometimes takes an additional 30 days and some people just dont want to pay the loan. I had to pay 3 months on a car that was totaled, but i got the money back from the bank when they were finally paid. The other issue is gap ins did not cover it
Randy I bought a 2011Dodge Ram with the V6 3.7 ex work truck with 250000 miles on it for $3500 bucks in 2020. Everyone said it's a Dodge, it's a V6, it's a POS...but I fell in love with it and I drive it daily with 287000 and change on the odometer and I am never get rid of it! It is the perfect knock around truck.
Absolutely awesome. You made your bed now sleep in it. I feel no remorse for the dealerships that screwed over its clientele during COVID etc. This is your market adjustments coming home to roost.👍🙏
Don't worry.. kommiela is going to start forking over heaps of cash to the ill eagles and first time home buyers.. girl power will get that whole vexing situation fixed in a jiffy.
Our 08 Expedition is still going strong with the notorious 3 valve 5.4 and it has 236,000 on it just goes to show that taking care of your vehicle will clearly benefit you
All these repos, proving the cost of cars and repairs have become unaffordable! Even worse up here in Canada. The problem with most of these financing schemes is they almost always on lower end cars exceed the residual value of the vehicles. This leaves the owners in a finacial hole. That is why you see so many totalled vehicles owned by the finance companies.
sometimes people incorporate insurance into the loans, the 1st thing finance companies do when you default is cancel the insurance to get some money back asap
Dodge has nothing to do with the Fiat Ram trucks built by Stellantis, really Dodge has nothing to do with its own name tag either-No One IS Coming To Save You-
@@bradzimmerman3171 no fiat/stellantis is ruining all their new cars from dodge, to ram and Chrysler, and Jeep. They all are are coming in with shock bolts missing, engines blowing up under 1000 miles. It’s bad.
We just bought a 2013 Chrysler Town & Country with 230,000 miles and it runs like a top. 3.6 litre, dealer maintained most of its life. We got it for a steal.
That Ford Escape had a 2.0 Ecoboost right? or 1.5? They have headgasket problems, so maybe it was getting rid of some coolant with the first cold start

Would love to see that Renegade on the channel. Had a 2018 Trailhawk with the 2.4 and put 36,000 miles on it in a year and it was a great fuel efficient zippy little jeep
Since that police car charger with the hemi has the police package that means cylinder deactivation is not on that engine, probably why it's lasted over 200,000 mi lol the
The Escape is a decent little suv. Plus they made a ton of them do finding parts should be easy. If you can get it cheap enough, it might be worth it...but its gotta be cheap.
The Multi-Air might have been run with the wrong engine oil - many users don't appreciate the importance of using the right type of engine oil. Some engines suffer extreme damage if the wrong oil is used.
I think the wrecked ones that are repoed are probably cars that were totaled by the insurance company and upside down in value. The owner probably didn’t have gap insurance.
Just like you think everyone's vehicle in NY is crashed up, everyone thinks that people in Oklahoma are all on government assistance. At the end of the day it is all just smack talk. I own a home in NY but live in Florida and my vehicles look nothing like that or have never looked like that.
That individual needs to move to China with all the effort/funds he tries putting into the cause for dismantling the second amendment and disarming the American people.
Those totaled repos probably had insurance but high interest rates and no gap insurance. So insurance can't pay off the total cost and it becomes a repo. I had this situation many years ago with a used car.
Maybe they are going to have to cut the price of some of these. The banks I think are going to have to take a loss for an inflated market and the unusual economics of production shortages during the pandemic, and high interest rates.
Of course they don't have insurance, flying around town on temp tags that are 3-6 months out of date or longer, I see it all the time. And no plates at all as well.
Good morning Randy I hope you’re having a great morning. I just got done watching your new video of the copper walk around that you posted for us this morning and I want you to know that I really enjoy them so just keep your videos come in for me because I’m watching every day which I’ve told you that before but can’t wait to see your next video. Whatever you’re playing buddy I’ll talk to you later. Have a great rest of your day. Talk to you soon.
Randy, when people say Chrysler/Stellantis are junk. They are mostly referring to the support they get from the dealer and the company. Obviously the cars themselves aren't that bad. I'd take one them over a damn Audi or BMW any day of the week.
The mileage on that red Escape goes to ------ when it's running but shows the mileage when off. Very strange 🤔 Wonder if it's even recording the mileage.
It is a special kind of repo when it’s 9 years old like the 2015 ford escape most people with a good job would consider that car junk at used car lot that sells buy here pay here overpriced junkiers
I had a dodge Dakota 4x4. Went through 5 transmission before the first oil change. Now I had a 2016 jeep renegade latitude with 40,000 miles and transmission issues with that one to. So I very nervous about Chrysler and Dodge cars and trucks. But everyone has there favorite
They might have run out of money - so they might not have been able to make their vehicle insurance payments. The Federal Reserve is to blame for this economic crisis.
there's a grey Mazda3 (Mchine Grey as MAzda calles it) right beside the little Mitsubishi could the 24 Tundra hahve been a demonstrator car at a Toyota dealer?
the mirage hasn't been in a front end accident the gap is like that on all of them do a look up on ones for sale but here in Australia they all have that gap looks like it should have a piece of rubber between the bonnet and bumper but nope it doesn't its's the way it is randy...
It seems like he's not ever going to buy anything that he has to put a fender on or anything. That's how everything started but he picks through them so bad in that one. Red one would have been just fine to get and fix it up

The hell is going on in OK with all the bulletholes????🤣
Facts
I'm pretty sure it the same car as last year...i remember he opened the trunk looking for the bullet!
OK City always have been a war zone just watch the first 48.😂
They were driving through Texas with an boomer sooner bumper sticker 😎 so, just in case, that's a joke🤣 some people these days🤔

It's crazy how large the repo lot has gottem.
8.5 % interest rate .
@@czogg99 That would explain it. In glad I bought my car with cash.
If you think the car repo situation is bad look at the housing situation. Lots of pending foreclosures all across the country.

Enjoying your videos!! Thanks!
Love your videos!!!
Westlake is a bad credit lender.
👍🏻 finance company

I don’t listen to what people say about the RAMS, I have a 300.000 plus miles 5.7 liter ram that runs great.
sometimes people incorporate insurance into the loans,
the 1st thing finance companies do when you default is cancel the insurance
to get some money back asap
The "blinky beepy thing" in the Tundra is a factory Dash Camera option
I was told it is no longer the COPART REPO LOT it is now the RANDY TREASURE BOX LOT :)
Love the repo videos it’d be even better when you bought a car we could watch it get fixed and sold love the new direction of the channel
Good to see you
Keep pushing brother blessings
Enjoying the repo videos Randy!
That’s a factory (PIO) DashCam. I stupidly removed the card from mine without powering down and corrupted the card. It beeps the same way.
i'm a mechanic at a Chrysler dealership, I can confirm a lot of them are junk and their quality control is terrible.

Yea Randy, here in NY We have to face the Winter Element 😂😂
The last time yo drove the 2.7 Ecoboost on dealer auctions you were surprised how good it was when you test-drove it
Chances are if they can't take care of their bills, they didn't take care of their cars either.
That uninsured tundra was rough. They did not care about that truck, sad
straight to scrapyard material
I'd drive that Renegade in a heartbeat.
I like them, too.
2020 was the last year for Jetset blue.

That Ford Escape had a 2.0 Ecoboost right? or 1.5? They have headgasket problems, so maybe it was getting rid of some coolant with the first cold start
That’s 100% what I said, coolant intrusion issues.
Keep up the great walk arounds Randy. We’ll miss you ❤

I think it is out of gas. The gas light was on, and there were no bars on the fuel gauge.

Great walk around😀
This guy is good.
My Uncle Karl said... Son not all the cars at the auction are bad but , all the bad cars are at the auction :)
Westlake, Strategic, Bridgecrest, Credit Acceptance, are all finance companies. Mainly 2nd or 3rd chance financing with super high interest rates.
That tundra is such a waste 😭
howdy from lawton - thnx for the info
cant wait to see what you buy.
West lake is a low tier lender. If a dealership cant get you a loan from a reputable bank.
9:49 the escape probably had sticky rings from being not ran, i had a Toyota that done the same thing when i didn't crank it for about a month
The Escape is a decent little suv. Plus they made a ton of them do finding parts should be easy. If you can get it cheap enough, it might be worth it...but its gotta be cheap.

Randy the renegade wasn’t serviced with the recall issue that the renegade had
I think the wrecked ones that are repoed are probably cars that were totaled by the insurance company and upside down in value. The owner probably didn’t have gap insurance.
There's a Bright drop van on copart rn, I'd love to see you grab it as a cheap first look at ultium
would have loved to check out the Bolt EUV
I think Westlake is one of those high interest rate loan companies for people with bad credit, I could be wrong but I think their a bad credit lender

West lake services is a division of Bloomberg
?
Seems like all of West Lake vehicles are underwater. Seems to be an appropriate name.

i like the jeep renegade lookin good!!!
It was called the power wagon and I agree that was a nice truck
That Jeep just needs the engine codes cleared.
what Westlake services is is they are a debt collection service as far as I have found out.

I'm from the UK and I've just looked up westlake services and westlake services/finance are all the same company

Westlake provides auto finance & equity loans as well as automobile dealer inventory search
Nice ride
Some of the comments make me laugh broski but your content is fire
I love learning some new every time I watch your video, but seriously if you go for a 2024 truck please make sure you have the financials for it 😂❤
Insurance company would rather total it then repair it

Don't blame the repo man. Blame the Federal Reserve.
The flashing thing on the tundra is a factory dash cam. I know right it comes with factory dash cam! Every car should have one.
Looked it up west lake services is based out of California they finance contracts thru 50,000 car dealerships for new and used cars

there's a grey Mazda3 (Mchine Grey as MAzda calles it) right beside the little Mitsubishi
could the 24 Tundra hahve been a demonstrator car at a Toyota dealer?
You need to put out a list of the dealers you avoid in the repo lot. I live in Tulsa and wouldn't mind hitting this repo lot for a new car.
Id love it if you checked out that little brown Mazda
Top of the line up
I wouldn't touch a 24 tundra without a warranty the way their engines are blowing up
those renegades were built in italy.... just saying...
that escape at 100000 miles the trans will probably go any day!
the mirage hasn't been in a front end accident the gap is like that on all of them do a look up on ones for sale but here in Australia they all have that gap looks like it should have a piece of rubber between the bonnet and bumper but nope it doesn't its's the way it is randy...
The economy is really getting bad for people. I'm sure with mortgage rates as high as they are, a lot of house foreclosures are happening too.
Westlake is a bank. I used to deal with them.
Have we seen that escape before on this channel? Maybe one similar but I cant tell
I wonder if westlake services is the business facing arm of westlake financial? like when dealers need to finance inventory they use them?
It seems like he's not ever going to buy anything that he has to put a fender on or anything. That's how everything started but he picks through them so bad in that one. Red one would have been just fine to get and fix it up
They allways repo wrecked cars from my tow yard. 😂😂😂
flashing thingy in windshield is a dashcam
the insurance part is probably because the insurance didn't pay them before it was repo'd so its the insurance's fault
The Magic Word to double your views! I think It would be wise to keep making videos on the Repo lanes
