for the clamp, the desk had a metal bracket on the back... did you have to attach the monitor clamp over the desk's metal bracket?

I thought this stand was height adjustable? You can see in the video at 12:40 he explains it can be adjusted up or down
im sure you can a just the height, there's bolts than can be loosened by the allen key to move the mounts up or down then just re tighten them

I think you are saying your desk might not be thick enough to use this monitor arm, is that correct? If that is the case you can always add something thick in between. I suggest to add a piece thick wood in between your desk and the clamp.

I am still using it, best value mount ever! One thing you might have to do, depending on the size and the weight of your monitors, you might need to apply some blue thread locker on the screws to keep them getting lose.
I bought this but the issue I’m having is the monitors keep dropping down. Any ideas how to fix it?
Use the provided allen key to tighten the screws holding the position of the monitors. If that doesn't solve the issue, get some blue thread locker from hardware store, and apply small amount on to the threads of the screw, then screw it back on.
My part a won’t fit. Do I have to use force to get the screws to fit in?

Yes, where the cap nut attaches there should be a small hole (in the tiny threaded rod) where an Allen key will fit. You can turn it to move it up and down to change the height. They don't mention it on the product page and it was well hidden.

It might be due to your monitor is too heavy. If not, then you can unscrew the screw that is causing the monitor to fall and apply blue thread locker on the screw. It works for me.
Tighten the screw simple fix but don’t strip it
Tighten the arm near the monitor with Allen key
