  • This review follows up on my Sceptre C30 unboxing and review video available here ( • 30” Ultrawide by Scept... ). This is the Mount Pro PR1001-1 and supports up to 14.3 lb monitors. Flexible installation options include through-hole mounting or clamp mounting.
    If you're looking for a dual monitor arm - I've just reviewed the ATUMTEK version and LOOOOVE it. Very adjustable and 28.5" maximum arm height is almost like a sit-stand workstation.

    timestamps
    0:05 - 0:51 Introduction and explaining how the monitor arm benefits you and your setup
    2:36 shows how the arm clamps to the desk in the instructions
    3:25 -4:02 explains how the arm attaches to the screen and how the arm is held up
    The rest of the installation tutorial is great but I don't need that right now because I'm just trying to explain to my parents what a monitor arm is
    13:05 see how much more space there is on the desk area vs the stand that comes with the screen? See how easy it is to organize cables, and plug them into the screen..
    14:27 using the monitor on the computer. looks more comfortable vs straining the neck to look down

      Eagle eyes my friend! It’s actually down, but the way the C30 works it has a bolt in the middle that prevents it from being totally flush. I think I’ll do a review update soon.

    Hi , it would be cool to see more of a full range of motion test. Also review after a half year or some time would be cool. Like if it doesnt breake or if the gass spring don't breake. Cool material, but you can do second review now to maybe let people know about those two things, because i was particurairly looking for that. Also if the screw dont get loose in a place where you mount it to the desk. This are technicall details which you can know only after you get equipment like that. So i would definiatelly apprecaite seeing those in a video
    :) and im looking forward to video about that ;)

    The easier way to clamp the arm on your desk was perhaps joining the two clamp part (with the two small screws) prior to fixing it on your desk. Thereafter, taking the entire assembly together and tightening the clamp screw until the mounting is sturdy. Nice arm though.

    A nice video overall. A very careful explanation. With monitor arms, the quality of the clamp is key. Strenght and grip of the clamp, besides a nice surface to hold, are the base to give it stability. Humanscale Furniture has a really good minor arms. Oh my goodness I thought your beard was fake. Sorry sorry sorry. In other news I built my 29 dollar Sarah Connor terminator arm...er mountup monitor arm as you were building yours. This was incredibly important. Display wise, I only had a 43 scepter, and two 52 inch TCls monitors (none over three hundred dollars!) as my primary display for my gel mesh serta 4x recliner workstation. It was like living in a cave. Obviously I needed an additional 32 inch scepter moniter for folders and what not. Now I never have to alt tab! Oh and I have a mini air conditioning floor unit I call Artoo Detoo which I've set up so when my recliner is reclining, I can move the vents with my toes. I don't understand why everyone doesn't do it this way. It's just better and not excessive in the least bit.

    This helped me SO MUCH installing my AVLT-DM03-1 single arm desk mount. However, mine came with a 'cable' that lamely shows me how to thread it through the cable management cover, but once I get the cable through the two covers I'm not sure if I have to secure them to something on the monitor and on the clamp? Do you have any videos on that type of install? Thanks again for this complete video, especially the part about adjusting the tension - game changer for me!

      No, but my Atumtek dual stand review has a full 28.5" height to the VESA arm - AMAAAAAZING. Check it out on my videos page.

    hows it holding up after two years? i have a 32" monitor weighing in at 14.33lbs so right at the max weight for this arm.. i;ve heard these budget arms are prone to failing at the gas strut where it will no longer support the weight of the monitor after a year or so? what's been your experience so far?

    Where did you get that adapter mount? The one you slip on at 8:25? Was that part of the kit? My Sceptre 30-inch curved never came with that.

    What’s the range of motion for the VESA amount itselft? 180°? I’m trying to get my monitor flush with the back of my desk because my current stand pushed it out too much. Your content quality is great by the way.

    Great vid, but just one gripe. It would be nice if you would show the full extension and rotation of the stand. After watching the video I’m still unsure if I can bring the monitor as far forward as I’d like.

    • @TheNetGuy
      @TheNetGuy  4 роки тому

      I appreciate the feedback Malek! The arm does have amazing forward movement - if you look at the angles of the individual arms, it does move straight forward about 12”? Shoot me an email and I’ll send you a picture!

    wait so because it's spring loaded, you can't constantly adjust the arm height to mimic a standing/sitting monitor? You have to adjust it with an allen if you want constant adjustments to height?

    • @TheNetGuy
      @TheNetGuy  2 роки тому +1

      No, the gas strut and spring work together to make it zero gravity. You can reposition it as needed without adjustments. You just need to initially set it.
