      I have my yearly dose of Seabiscuit.Every time I watch videos.I get choked up too.When I watch him win a race.It is like I am there.I 'm yelling.At the end of him beating War Admiral.Tears are running down my cheek.That race was 11 years before I was born.I wish I could have been there when he was racing.Especially when he won the big one. ❤🐎❤🇺🇸America's hero at that time.

      Seabiscuit didn't have 'the look' of a champion, appeared lazy and hard-headed as a youngster. He had a horrible life until Tom Smith spotted him. With the right people, he blossomed. That's true in a lot of situations both animal and human.

      I think it’s great, because George had no proof of what may happened, but he believed in what Red said, and in Seabiscuit, so he just randomly saying „so long charlie”, believing that after Biscuit was given a change to seee Admiral eye to eye and then let loose, there’s no way he’ll lose

    I always like to base a song on my favorite race horses. And i think I finally found one for Seabiscuit. The song just came out. Nickelback - Edge of a Revolution. It talks about how not to turn away and not to lay low and that there is no turning back. Seabiscuit was like that in many ways. Seabiscuit, you are the Revolution Horse that will always be remembered for a long time.

    THIS is how you film a horse racing movie and how you effectively film a horse race, it is such a shame Secretariat sucked so bad, would have loved it had it been filmed by the same folks that brought us this amazing film, such a riveting cinematic moment! Still gives me chills.

      109367 Agreed...Secretariat was a decent movie, but could have been spectacular...Should have been spectacular...That "Happy Day" music was ridiculous

    • @SwiftFoxProductions
      @SwiftFoxProductions 9 років тому +5

      109367 True. I really think having Gary L. Stevens (aka an actual professional jockey) playing the part of George Woolf was a big advantage for this scene. Certain shots in this would never even be attempted if they had to depend on a "stunt jockey" for the medium/wide shots. Though the real difference between "Seabiscuit" and "Secretariat", I think, was that "Seabiscuit" had the major advantage of having a brilliant director (Gary Ross) who, also, happened to be an equally talented screenwriter! :) Definitely, makes a difference.

      I miss when they used to do HBO behind the scenes on new movies coming out or just released and I remember watching the episode for Seabiscuit. I was 11 or 12 and still riding horses so I was super excited for the movie. To see how they got those close up shots and the way they got the prop horses heads to move so realistically was unbelievable.

    Seabiscuit, espectacular, ganó en esta carrera a El Almirante, el cuarto ganador de la triple corona en Norteamerica,la gracia de seabisquiet, és que era un caballo muy pequeño para ser un finasagre, veinte centimetros más bajo de lo normal, ésta carrera se realizó en plena epoca de recesión en EEUU,la clase obrera se sintió representada por este caballo por su perseverancia y triunfos, cada ves que viajaba a través del pais, salian miles de personas a verlo y sacarse fotografias junto a él, fue considerado el caballo del pueblo, toda una estrella, se juntaban las familias a escuchar por radio sus carreras,al contrario de El Almirante, que representada a la elite del pais.

    The movie makes much of the breeding of War Admiral, but glosses over the fact the they were both Man o' Wars...War Admiral a son and Seabiscuit a grand son. Man o'War was the greatest racehorse of all time. He was not only dominant on the track (winning by 100 lengths), he was able to reproduce his greatness. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_o%27_War . This used to be one of my favorite movies. But not long ago I suffered the same injury as Red and I cant watch that again.
