It might also be helpful to note that the spelling of 'aluminium' is usually different in American English (i.e. 'aluminum' instead of 'aluminium'), thus accounting for the different pronunciation.
I love this lesson! It is really helpful for those who seek to speak English with a British accent. Although I've learned the GAP, I find the BrE accent so fancy and beautiful. Keep up the good work!
A comment from a foreigner. This is very nice, interesting & well designed. Technical breakdown helps much for easy access. Naturally I liked it. Paying attention to types of pronunciation in each word should be a starter. Then, how they occasionally sound differently in a phrase under influences of other words in front/behind should follow. Much to do, much to show us novices! Thank you!

Yes, I agree with you. Why should one strive for a British or American accent? English serves as a tool for communication, not a sacred language that demands altering one's accent to feel superior. Particularly when exposed to international news highlighting the realities of the UK and US today, it becomes evident that English should be learned solely as a means of communication, without the need to adopt a specific accent merely for perceived social status.
