I would like to point out some minor details I forgot to mention in this video, you can continue to battle the reaper for the armor he drops and if you do not get a reaper chest just soft reset your game and load your save before you opened your last two chests. The probability the chest will have a reaper in it after opening 22 chests in 1/ 22 so best of luck
I ran into a Reaper chest on my first Playthrough I’m on with Persona 4 Golden. In Naoto’s dungeon. Everyone Level 49ish. I noped it out of there after hearing Rise’s speak. I’m not even going to try with how weak I am.
@@jasonandrews1770 new game+ means you can skip all the enemies and solo with protagonist. Just let the party members die and farm exp at the later dungeons with gold hands.
Honestly, P4 is much easier than P3. Mostly due to Rise having all those battle-abilities that Fuuka doesn't, defeating the Reaper in P3 is a nightmare as he chases you.... *shivers* .... still have nightmares over that.... I wonder if the rumours about him are true...
Well thats something I guess.... still makes me scared as hell of him... I have no problems facing other bosses, nope, he is when I want to cry like a baby xD

+Megidolaon Wasn't the Totsuka No Tsurugi the sword Izanagi used to cut Kagutsuchi? I think the TB was Izanagi's sword but I might be remembering wrong
Megidolaon Uchihas in Naruto use a lot of Japanese Mithology stuff in their jutsus but I think I read that the Totsuka Blade was Izanagi's sword that could kill even gods, I think it's even written in the Megami Tensei Wiki
+Megidolaon "Totsuka-no-Tsurugi (十拳剣?, lit. "Sword of Length of Ten Fists") is not a specific sword, but a common noun for any sword of this length. In Japanese mythology, numerous deities own a sword of this kind. Some examples of well-known Totsuka-no-Tsurugi's:1. The totsuka sword used by Izanagi to kill his offspring, Kagu-tsuchi.[1] This one is also named Ame-no-Ohabari or Ama-no-Ohabari (天の尾羽張?, lit. "sword of Takamagahara with blades on both sides of the tip").2. The totsuka sword used in the oath between Amaterasu and Susanoo. Amaterasu received this sword from Susanoo, snapped it to three pieces, and created the Triple Goddesses of Munakata from its debris. This sword was not named.3. Another totsuka sword in Susanoo's possession, which he used to slay Orochi. This sword is also named Ama-no-Habakiri or Ame-no-Habakiri (天羽々斬?, lit. "Snake-Slayer of Takamagahara"), Worochi-no-Aramasa (蛇之麁正?), or Futsushimitama-no-tsurugi (布都斯魂剣?). The sword is enshrined as the shintai ofIsonokami Shrine.4. The totsuka sword wield by Takemikazuchi in quelling of the Middle Country. This sword is known as Futsunomitama-no-tsurugi (布都御魂剣?), and is the main enshrined dedication in Isonokami Shrine." Once I'm on floor five, I open the first box and I hear the chains. But once I open the second box it literally is NEVER a reaper- I've tried like five times already, what am I doing wrong?
I didn't watch this video before going into Naoto's Dungeon, and let's say: I WAS SO FUCKING HAPPY AND EXCITED I FOUND THE OPTIONAL MEGABOSS OF THE GAME: THE REAPER! I GOT THE ULTIMATE SWORD FIRST TRY!
If you really want all the best equipment in the game, you have to fight the reaper about like 15 times (7 for the weapons, 7 for the armours and 1 for the omnipotent orb that null all damage except almighty). Yes, you have to farm him like a son of a bitch.
Excalibur Then he must have got the armor too. The Omnipotent Orb only appears after you get all weapons and armors. I dont know if this is true or not, but in my multiple playthroughs, I always need to get the other equipments before the Orb to be dropped
In my opinion, challenges like this should always guarantee very powerful items instead of getting those items randomly out of luck (shiny pokemon hunting is an exception).

I found it easier to farm Reapers in Magatsu Mandala. I don't know why though, but I quickly get all equipments easily there. Also, P3 version of the Reaper is significantly harder because you can't control your teammates. The reaper was by far the creepiest in p3 when your on a floor with no shadows

*We do a little trolling*
I farmed the reaper too. I liked to think that the group performed some satanic ritual to do it and they would boast about it
Like the song goes, don't fear the reaper. And this thing from all of the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei games have those things.
I went to the castle for the first time and then I heard chains, I got scared coz I was only level 8

Beating the Reaper in P3 took me 50 minuets and 3 retries. Never tried P4 because never want to go through that again.

I like how the Reaper looks in PQ more than here, for some reason.
I swear I can't stop thinking of Itachi after I saw Narukami's Weapon

How difficult the Reaper in P4G is compared to P3? It was trash in P3 so I didn't have the trouble of healing members.
My strat for this fight was as follows:
Power Charge
Heat Riser
Sukukaja
Tarukaja
Hassou Tobi
repeat that and boom, reaper ded.
you should fight the reaper on Persona 5

I found it easier to farm Reapers in Magatsu Mandala. I don't know why though, but I quickly get all equipments easily there.
Also, P3 version of the Reaper is significantly harder because you can't control your teammates. Which is why 'manual' Reaper farming (I think) is more common in Persona 4
