I remember this game being quite difficult (as most games of that age were). No passwords. A few extra lives. And those bomb disposals were so stressful, holy crap.
I had that game on a 5in1 cartridge called "Golden Five" (A mix of CodeMasters' masterpieces) and not only this game itself is hard (mainly to limited visibility), there were NO CONTINUES on that cartridge, so if you ran out of lives, you only saw the score and it was returning you to the title, forcing you to start from the very beginning. After so many tries I managed to beat this game and man, what an achievement for me it was back then...
When I used to live in Poland as a kid, my parents bought this NES counterfeit console called Pegasus. It came with a cartridge called Golden 5. It included Ultimate Stuntman, Big Nose the Caveman, Big Nose Adventure, Micro Machines and Dizzy. I remember that Ultimate Stuntman was really hard to play. I don't think I ever completed further than 11:00. Other games were great too. Downside those days - no save game ability,. Ahhh, good old days.
Wow I have never heard of this game, it is unlicensed and yet it has fantastic music, great graphics and multiple styles of gameplay that seem well executed. Now I have to find this and play it.
Thanks for upload the gameplay. I used to rent this game when I was a teen. It's very challenging, in the same way as Battletoads. I love it. It took me 24 hours to defeat it in my thirties.
If you ever found yourself playing Terminator or Total Recall and wondering why all games based on Arnold Schwarzenegger roles suck so bad, you owe it to yourself to try out The Ultimate Stuntman.
The ultimate stuntman was brutal 47:00 this is the furthest I've ever made it in this game after playing it for something like 5 years 😂. I think I would eventually beat this game if I spent more time on it, but around 1999 my parents finally bought me my first PC and I stopped playing NES games after that.
I love this game. The varied action stages always amazed me, not to mention the soundtrack. The cart package was something also, including a nice manual and a poster.
There were a lot of good quality unlicensed games for the Nes. Micro Machines, for example, not only was an amazing game for the Nes, it was probably the most famous unlicensed game at the time. Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy was also great, also unlicensed. ^^
I had this game when I was a kid. Always found it fantastic, specially after playing so many games that felt... repetitive after a whle. Stuntman was varied, with multiple different gameplay mechanics. But man, it was hard. In fact, I'm not sure I even beat it.
man, i remember when i was a kid and thought this was the most R-Rated game i would've ever see, based on the title screen and intro alone. i didn't understand english back then but i already knew that this gonna be a great game. and damn it was more than that! it has variety, a beautiful soundtrack and graphics, amazing gameplay. AND THIS WASN'T EVEN AN OFFICIAL GAME!!! (it was pretty hard tho)
I sort of didn't know how to play it when I came across it back then. I didn't even know how to defuse the bomb and use the crosshair in Level 1-3. And then I was forced to give the cartridge back..alas, it wasn't mine. How time flies. Nothing have I got more interesting than all these NES games. I don't want to be a grown-up.
Awesome! Those British tech demigods (and demigoddesses!) at Codemasters have done it again! Codemasters is a cool name. Remember, fellow budding game devs, anyone can be a Codemaster! All it takes is ingenuity. And effort. And that is what was put into this game. This game is amazing! _Far out!_
One of the better unlicensed games. Varied gameplay, always something going on, great graphics, pretty catchy soundtrack. My main qualm is the levels that reuse graphical assets (not uncommon on the NES) don't even get a palette swap, and a 3rd hang glider level instead of a 2nd boat level. I guess a fouth android wouldn't of hurt either. Tehcnobeast MK3 lol
Yeah, it's well executed, but really starts to overstay its welcome when the bosses start repeating...and then the first is also the seventh. That there really felt like just bring on Dr. Evil, there doesn't need to be this many stages.
How can you not love some of these camerica games? Great game all around here. So was MM, Firehawk, and the Quattro Sports B.M.X. is ok if you can get it to start.😅 The Android YeTtaaay!...
I played this game like 25 years ago, or more. Amazing shit. I was pretty bad at games, waiting for my counterfeit console to arrive and I'm gonna play the shit out of it!
The music of Stage 1 (the vehicle stage) and the climb-to-the-roof stage are absolute bangers!!
I remember this game being quite difficult (as most games of that age were). No passwords. A few extra lives. And those bomb disposals were so stressful, holy crap.
This game was stupid hard
I found bomb disposal the easiest one lol what a irony

this cartridge is a white raven. also the micro maschines on it
@@TheFranko993 Sweet jesus, I'm a proud owner of it, still :D
Wow these graphics are amazing for an nes game 😀
The music is that classical European computer sound code masters is known for but it's actually really good

Same here Bro
This game is awesome and pushes the limits of the NES's capabilities to the max.
Hell yeah! I played the shit out of this game back in the day. I remember always getting my ass handed to me in a hang glider level
Nice to see past the first few stages. I remember that first flying level killing me a lot when I was a kid playing this game.
Wow I have never heard of this game, it is unlicensed and yet it has fantastic music, great graphics and multiple styles of gameplay that seem well executed. Now I have to find this and play it.
Did you find it and play it?
Thanks for upload the gameplay.

OMG. Finally i found this game. Thank you so much. Have been looking for this since ages.
Holy crap, that snare drum sample in the intro is so clear. 😮
One of my first games that i played as a kid. Never got past level 1 though. Never had enough patience.
Such a great game. A lot of variety
Glad I was able to see somebody play this and beat it. I always got stuck on the second bomb lol.
If you ever found yourself playing Terminator or Total Recall and wondering why all games based on Arnold Schwarzenegger roles suck so bad, you owe it to yourself to try out The Ultimate Stuntman.
You Gotta Love This Game's *BADASS* Soundtrack!
Why couldn't they all just have been half as good😭...

wow, the people who made this game must've put in a lot of effort. you can hardly tell it's unlicensed.
There were a lot of good quality unlicensed games for the Nes. Micro Machines, for example, not only was an amazing game for the Nes, it was probably the most famous unlicensed game at the time.
Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy was also great, also unlicensed. ^^
Yet another rental for me, but man, did I ever love this one. Just the name alone...THE ULTIMATE STUNTMAN, is enough to sell this on any teenage boy.
I had this game when I was a kid. Always found it fantastic, specially after playing so many games that felt... repetitive after a whle. Stuntman was varied, with multiple different gameplay mechanics.
But man, it was hard. In fact, I'm not sure I even beat it.
Yeah, same here! I don't think I ever beat it either but I loved the game
Where would you find this as a kid ?
@@lukesmith9692 Here in Brazil this wasn't a rare game. In fact, no Camerica game was.
I cannot beat it right now
Love this game... I remember played this game in 1997...

That is the most NES sounding music I've ever heard
Protagonist looks like dang old Hank Hill.
Clássico, meu primeiro jogo na vida.

That invincibility power up lasts for about 2 seconds. That's how hard this game was 😂
I love these PCM samples.
The guy reminds me of Hank Hill.
that box art

The Android YeTtaaay!...
The climbing levels were the hardest!
I keep imagining Crack Stuntman as the avatar in this game now XD
TV Tropes brought me here!
Only in hour game but epic and epic music
Holy shit, it takes over 50 minutes to beat this game? I don't think I'm gonna do this.
Level 5-1 reminds me of Micro Machines.
Dr. Evil? Riiiiiiiight.
Cool various games
The best fkn gme of my childhood
I played this game like 25 years ago, or more. Amazing shit. I was pretty bad at games, waiting for my counterfeit console to arrive and I'm gonna play the shit out of it!
I feel like if Hasbro's Action Man line had an NES video game, it would be something like this
This game goes from 0 to 100 back to 0 pretty fast
Find it hilarious that it's a 1990 title, but the newspaper article is dated 1997
I never saw or knew about this game back then. Seems pretty well put together for it's time. Endings are the worst back then.
But in the end you are happy with him. Not every ending is bad. Video games back then did have some bad endings. Variety. Happiness is most important
The music reminds of Jurassic Park game
The player character is literally Serious Sam
It's Hank Hill
meu Deus, que nostálgico 🥲🥹
Music reminds me somewhat of Asterix on the nes
Sounds a little bit like a c-64 game and that's not a bad thing.
Most of Codemasters games were for computers like the C64, so I guess the similarity makes sense:)
i used to have this game but its long gone now but maybe i could find a new copy on ebay :3
this game fuqed me up when i was a kid
Before even fast and furious existed this game was just like that series 🙄
So you have to deactivate a bomb every chapter but then you're also told next that you blew up the base.... k, makes sense.
looks like a Ninja Gaiden level
a great game from Nes.
The best game for nes
Far out!!!!
Top
Joguei MT. Amava esse jogo.bons tempos.
What's with the squid though?
Colt Seavers?!?
What's going on here? Its just the same levels looped. Im playing the game now and my levels are totally different order
This game was too hard for kids.
sounds like a c64 game
It does indeed.
For some reason, most Codemasters games for the Nes had this C64-ish music style.
Fart out!
carai, maior vício.
isn't the name a little ridiculous? "absolute stuntman"
Of course it is, everything about the game us way over the top :)
But it's ultimate stuntman
