I think celebs who do skin products should be transparent on the other medical work they have had done to their skin. I’m sure she gets a few lasers or other treatments along with her skin products.

Right. Since watching Dr. Alexis and Dr. V I know exactly what to look for. I find it hard to mind my business when I’m in Sephora and Ulta and I hear the salesperson recommend terrible products to black women. I’m always recommending their channels.

I am your follower from Germany, and really like your videos. I have learnt so much concerning our melanin skin. My only wish is that, I could find some of the black skin products, but unfortunately the US seems to have so much more than Germany, especially Sun protection, not much choice for skin of colour. I resorted to using La Roche Posay, 50SPF , anti aging.

I'm glad that you did a reaction to Ciara's skincare line. I like Ciara and I think her voice is so chill. What I thought was interesting is the foaming mousse like cleanser. I think we've been taught that things that foam shouldn't be used on the face. So I'm glad that you addressed that you can use a foaming cleanser. And I like that you mentioned vitamin C doesn't have to be in every product. And also mentioned Co Q 10. I think around the mid to late 2000's I saw Co Q 10 in products and then I didn't hear anything about it for a while. I wondered what happened to it? So I'm pleased when I see it as an ingredient. You make your reaction videos more of a teachable moment in a positive way. I like and admire that ability.
Foaming cleanser are fine. I think it's best suited for oily skin so when she, Ciara, said her skin is on the drier side I was taken aback. But if it works for her that's all that matters. I! M on the combo side and find foaming cleansers are a bit drying for me.
@@nancykerrigan well hers isn’t one formulated I think that would be stripping. Like she’s dry but if she formulated it for dry skin hers might be the exception since most skincare lines dedicate foam cleansers to oily skin. Hers might be worth a try if you have been wanting to try a foam cleanser but have dry skin. I’m oily but even I would try hers.
Great insight and review. I have to say, though, that I had some difficulty hearing you over Ciara.
I think I need to revamp my skin care routine. But it is overwhelming the different products and lines. I'm currently getting a series of microchanelling done and after sessions my skin breaks out. I'd been using the Urban RX line but it seems to have stopped working? Is this possible? It's getting so frustrating dealing with my skin.
I 100% understand. Perhaps go back to the very basics just to give your skin a reset. I have a video on this if you need a refresh :)
Hi, I have bad hyperpigmentation because I had a bone marrow transplant last year and got something called gvhd and everything is good now but it darkened my face so much and idk what to do. The dermatology says to just use moisturizer and my skin would even out in a few years, but to hard cause everyone talks bout it. I also play football and we are in the off season now so I don’t gotta worry bout being in the sun. What do you think I should do for next year when being in the sun for practice?

I’m just watching your vids now but have been subscribed, I find it difficult to follow with all the tags on the screen
A simple list with what is reccomended would be easier. As well as my skin is sensitive and oily and itchy even when I don’t wear anything on my face, so I can only use watery products really and not too heavy moisturisers considering how much I love slapping on product. I’m gonna look around your vids and see if there’s something for me :/ I’d have to setup a skincare routine with a low budget as well. Thanks for the tips and I learned that too much Vit c is not necessary
And that some people can wear a lot of product without problem and slap on thick layers of moisturizer which doesn’t work for me unfortunately.
It didn't look like she applied enough sunscreen. If sunscreen is in serum form, are we supposed to use less?
I believe she may have applied more and that Vogue edited quite a bit out of her video. There were several times that the audio cut out etc.
All I want to know is how to get rid of hyperpigmentation. I've tried everything and nothing woks.

Yes a dermatologist is on the board and the vitamin C is released over time. I have used this skincare for over a year. It’s amazing.

Vit B5- Panthenol is excellent for all skintypes. Also there are several vit c derivatives that can work on various skintypes. I can do a video on how to choose the right Vit C based on skintype.

The products were already manufactured-Alicia Keys teamed up with E.L.F Beauty to put her brand on the products. It’s a way for these skincare corporations to tap into different markets.

Could you explain why women in africa dont put sunscreen at all and have beautiful skin. Im african and my mother never put sunscreen and She has wonderfull skin, no wrinkles at 58 years old. My grand mother same. And most women I knew in africa has beautiful skin, no makeup no sunscreen. I think active ingrédients (AHA, BHA, retinol etc) that we use in occidental countries sensitise black skin, that is the reason why some of us are condamned to put sunscreen all the year long

@@db-gb5xi I've been watching her videos f/ 2 years & have tried many products. So far, I like Ciara's product line. I started w/ Good Molecules and eventually they were ineffective as well.
Some of those products are too steep my pockets unfortunately. Even though celebs think it's "affordable", it's really not.
I was thinking the same thing, they always come out with all these products to help us, but they jacked up the price.smh

Yes sorry. I put the words on the screen. Jade rollers help with lymphatic drainage and not lifting muscle.

This is too many steps for me.
Her skin looks great and she appears to take great care of her face and body!! There is an obvious Botox tell… it becomes obvious when the elasticity etc. around the mouth and the rest of the face doesn’t match the forehead. Her forehead looks shellacked… and that is fine… but I don’t believe vitamin c can deliver that result… correct me if I am wrong…
