A black and white milkshake is a chocolate shake made with vanilla ice cream/custard and chocolate syrup/fudge. So basically a lighter chocolate shake

Thanks Diane! The first Shake Shake in Canada is opening this summer in Toronto. I will probably check it out this fall after the insanity dies down. I have never had custard before, frozen or otherwise , so I may try that.

Frozen custard just means there are eggs in it. Many “ice creams” are actually custard, but some that actually call themselves “custard” sometimes have more egg (or just yolk).
I am almost 100 % sure that you are the most famous and popular Irish girl on UA-cam. Star Wars character Han Solo also has a dog named Chewy, even though he is more like a Man Dog or a Dog Man full name Chewbacca.
I lived in Florida almost 2 decades ago and a burger joint i worked at Char Hut, they always said they were "high end fast food" mainly because its cooked in front of you.
Here is yet another place I have never been to. Looks like I got to go visit this place sometime.

@@jmcg6189 Shake Shack is a national chain; there are outlets all over the US.
Frozen custard is a subset of ice cream; it includes a fair amount of egg yolk, which most ice creams aren't legally required to have. The FDA requires frozen custard to have at least 10% milkfat and at least 1.4% egg yolk solids; less than that, and you can't call it "frozen custard", although you can usually still call it "ice cream". Because it has a lot less air whipped in, it's usually denser than other ice creams - more like the consistency of gelato (which also doesn't usually include egg yolks). Milwaukee and Philadelphia are frozen custard centers.
Here in California, we usually only see frozen custard in pints of superpremium ice cream from other parts of the country. But when I was a kid 50-some years ago, a lot of the local scoop shops (all of whom made their ice cream in-house) had a flavor they called "lemon custard", which was a citrus flavored frozen custard - awesome. Nobody carries it any more, and I miss it. Lemon had to be a frozen custard; frozen custard stays smooth at colder temperatures, and the acid in the lemon juice lowered the freezing temperature of the ice cream base, so they had to use a custard base in order to chill it enough to set. Alcohol in ice cream does the same thing.
@@aquilapetram Not sure if there are any in North Carolina, but I know that there aren't any near me. Culver's does custard and there is one of those near me.
Just because they have them in California and Chicago and New York does not mean they are nationwide. They may be widespread but that doesn't mean they are everywhere.
The difference between ice cream and frozen custard is that the custard has butt nugget yolks added. Next time you are in the states, find a Culvers. They are headquartered in Wisconsin, which is a HUGE dairy state, and thus wrote the book on frozen custard. And they are a bit less costly. Their butter burger is great too.

Custard is literally my favourite food so I'm on board with Diane, more people dislike it than like it .
In the 7th circle of hell, you're surrounded by shakes but straws don't exist.
Frozen Custard is made with certain amount of egg yolks that ice cream does not.
Come to the midwest. Minnesota or Wisconsin. We'll hook you up. Culver's is famouse for frozen custard based icecream treats, breaded fried cheese curds, and butterburgers. Meat patties each cooked with butter.

I just watched the reaction and have seen the one about Wendy’s and the clothing optional beach. They were great. I had a thought of something else you may find interesting The Ohio State University Marching Band does halftime shows and had one that was honoring Led Zeppelin. The best one sound quality to me is the show when they played Penn State in football in 2023 season. It’s montage of songs and they do designs on the field while playing the music. They also have performed at the halftime show when the NFL played in London. I have never seen in person but if I had the chance I would Just a thought. Keep up the great reactions

The problem with fudge "chunks" is that they are hard to suck up through the straw -- even worse than cookies and cream.
Shake Shack supposedly started as a food cart in New York. Now they've graduated to fine casual dining. I thought it was because they served adult beverages in the NYC store😂

You weren't sitting on the straw. You were just keeping it body temperature which is a little known secret to drinking a shake. Some shakes just can't be sucked. Best to use a spoon on them.

We went to Shake Shack in the Fort Lauderdale , stood in line, they had No shakes. My family decided they were no better than a Shack without the ice cream

Speaking as someone who lives in Brookfield in the metro area of Milwaukee, WI,
frozen custard is better than ice cream. I live in the frozen custard area
of the US so if you're ever in Milwaukee or the metro area, I hope you try
some frozen custard places. Oscar's Custard near me is very good along with
Culver's which are everywhere here in Wisconsin.
It's too rich for me flavor wise but there's also Kopp's which has very rich frozen custard.
Too rich for me plus they put relish on top of their burgers. As someone who hates relish I think
it's disgusting. It's popular here though.
Never been to these locations since they're in Milwaukee and I don't like to travel far for food but
in Milwaukee there's Leon's Frozen Custard, Gilles Frozen Custard, and Fred's Frozen Custard and Grill.
Fred's closes early though. Also I'm 44 and I'm not much of an "adult" myself. There's nothing wrong with
having a Peter Pan complex. If you ever decide to visit here in early August to see Irish Fest, I hope you
try out a couple of these places. Topper's Pizza sells frozen custard as well in pints. They have normal
pizza along with strange kinds like Mac N' Cheese pizza, tater tot pizza, and Buffalo chicken Mac N' Cheese pizza.
Although If you're ever here in mid to late June or early July, SummerFest is very popular in Milwaukee. A lot of music
bands come there. I haven't been to Summerfest since I was in my 20's but it was fun the few times I went.
Any fudge in a frozen surprise drink should be warm and stupidly chocolate. As should be in random locations

Fun facts: Danny Meyer is the founder of Shake Shack and he modeled it after two popular places he went to as a kid in St Louis. (Steak & Shake and Ted Drewes) In 2017, Ted Drewes frozen custard was voted the best ice cream shop in the world.

You said you finished the shakes and frozen custard over the course of a few days. Did you have a freezer in your room, or did you just eat/drink them after they melted?
Frozen custard is a midwestern specialty that Shake Shack has introduced to the rest of the country. I've had frozen custard from Ted Krewe's in St. Louis and Jessica's in Milwaukee (which sadly no longer exists).
Would it work to have a layer of fudge in a milkshake? How would you get it up the straw? Of course, you could eat it with a spoon, which you ended up doing with one of your shakes, anyway.
For some reason, malts are not as popular or common as they used to be. A malt is a milkshake with malted milk powder in it, similar to the inside of a Malteaser. Have you ever had one?

Yes, we used to have malts in Eddie Rockets! Are used to eat them all the time - not necessarily a good thing! I think I’d make the fudge work.
I had a fridge in my room and the bottom of it was pretty cold and turned all the way up. They weren’t as thick, but they were still good over a couple of days.
