Had my heavy duty 4423 for about 7/8 years and my under thread(bobbin) was leaving loose and looped threads. I knew something wasn’t right…. Turned out it was the way I was winding the bobbin up. Lol. So thank you so much for your help!
As a complete beginner and having just ordered the 4432, I found this to be clear, precise and to the point. I will be looking for the other videos when my machine arrives.
This video just gave me so much confidence! First time trying to use my machine after bying it in the summer and after watching this video I was able to thred my bobin first try!
I want to thank you for this video so much, i was having trouble with the bobbin... this is the best video to show exactly the details of how to put it in correctly.. Ty ty ...
Thank you for this video. I'm thinking of getting a sewing machine and learning how to use it, but it's the first video that makes me feel like there's hope. A little bit, but at least there's some.
This video is by far the most helpful sewing video I have ever seen! I've been doing basic sewing for a while, but have just been making it up as I go. Thank you for being so straightforward and informative!
Thank you so much, I had given up sewing since I bought this machine. Today I got the problem fixed watching your video. It’s very detailed and helpful to work on minor things we missed.
Thank you soooo much for uploading this! I deciding to start sewing again after about 6 years! I could vaguely remember all the steps, but the heavy duty singer has some differences to my old machine. You are a life savor with this video!
Thank you so much for details explanations, I was able to make a straight stitch just out the box (with same machine). I can't believe myself! The step up was quicker than even setting up a new smartphone out of the box to make a call/ take a picture :)
Thank you for this video. I just purchased a 4452 which appears very much the same as the 4423. A close look at threading round the needle area would be great. I will look for the close up video next. You might link the two videos.
I have a new Singer model 2277 and have to get supplies, material, and thread for this machine and hope it works as advertised. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us and I will hopefully be ready to begin my journey in sewing.
Exactly. You simply stop recording, change the angle and close up on the details necessary to actually SEE what is going on. I watched this so many times skipping over the stuff I knew but I also haven't sewn in close to two years, so I needed to freshen up especially using a new Singer, and never have and was struggling so much with it bunching up on the bottom thus causing a jam. Since watching this I followed it threw and for the first time since getting the machine more than two weeks ago, it it smooth sailing!...Knock on wood 😬
First video I found that really helped, especially since I bought the same machine. I haven't sewn at all for almost two years and I had a Brother with 180 stitches and a heavy duty Viking Emerald that cost a lot but I was so all over the place with other hobbies not related to sewing. I was going to give up and return it but didn't want to because I want to sew my own bags, hem my pants because my body is weird, so I either cut the bottoms off or hem the yoga/leggings so they don't drag and rip eventually anyway. Also, my daughter loves coming up with crafts, some much easier and faster and very unique. I want to alter her clothes too if need be, add some flare to them and eventually once she's confirmed what she wants to be for Halloween, often very close to Halloween, I'll be more up for the task by then. Right now she Wants to be a "teenager " and if that's really what she wants to be, she wouldn't go trick or treating she'd go to a party or stay at home watching horror movies handing out candy, sooo not cool and so many annoying kids coming at the door every minute give or take. I'll explain it to her at a point when she's changed her mind again...like actual teenagers😁
I get my new Singer Heavy Duty 6700c on Monday. And my replacement phone that wasn't a schizophrenic sociopath like this phone. I have the Singer HD 4432 and working on my giant elaborate bag(the new machine should work better with 8 layers I tend to use and start my own damn tutorials that are not only clear and actually help, but my sharp wit and video filming, editing , voice overs and some random animations to make learning to use a sewing machine with a creative edge. I'm glad I somehow figure out this shit.
Not sure if any one is going to need this. But here goes. I loaded up my new machine. Hardest part. Automatic threader. I got it. After long time. Put threader in place. Hold thread. Left to right. In front of needle. And under the two little hook things sticking out. Holding thread snug. Straight across. Pop the threader. And the string. Should be threaded. Keep at it. Took me awhile to get it. Don't know how it threads. But it does work. The instructions. In the book is dead on. It's just a little trick to it.
tried just now to follow that threading of the needle and loop for bobbin.. could you please do a zoom in.... treat all of us like we are little kids - because this is impossible see!
Thank you so much for this video! Even though another video did zoom in they gave wrong information. I had a mess and you cleared up so much for me. I had no idea I had a vertical spool pin. Lol. Having that and the way you threaded the bobbin worked for me. My tension was way off as well. Feel like a super sewer now. Love my 4423!
can anyone help me i just purchase this 4423 model and mu machine seems like the no.5 thing is missing i cant turn my thread down again coz there’s no piece of metal that look like yours had on no.5 what should i do? is mine is broken or what?
hi, thank you for this video! i like the singer 4423 heavy duty, but mine has a foot control cable, that is way too short to sit and sew ergonomically: only 125 cm from the machine to the footcontrol. how long is yours?
I wonder what could be wrong with my machine. I have the singer heavy duty 4423. Its making a loud bumping noise ,i am trying to repair belt loops. Any suggestions?
I'm new at sewing and still missing something! I have correctly threaded the machine and lifted the bobbin thread -no problem. I've been away from My machine for a few months and now can't get the bobbin thread up. It is a new machine, only used for a bit of practice, but just can't figure ou6t what I am doing wrong.
Your spool cap is upside down you should have the sloped end against the spool that way the thread is pushed away from the spool ridge so that it does not wind around the spool stick.
From my understanding the spool should not spin while you’re sewing. It’s because of this that I’m confused how we’re supposed to put horizontally wrapped thread on the auxiliary pin when the majority of spools are too long to accommodate a spool cap on top of it to restrict movement? Is it okay for it to spin when we place a spool on the auxiliary pin to sew? Or should I only use shorter spools that fit a spool cap on top? I hope that made sense I’ve been wondering about this for a while. Does anyone have any input on this? Thanks so much.
I've been using this machine in college for a year and when there's no space for the spool cap, I just leave it off. So long as everything else is set up properly it'll work with no issues.
My machine came with a bobbin on the top and bottom I began seeing without the bobbin step and mine jammed the bobbin still has thread on it how do I do it if it already has thread on it
In the video you said there would be close-ups of bobbin insertion and needle threading but they are not in the video so I am stuck an cannot thread my needle
Hello! I'm looking to start a small Fashion brand from my home. I'll make cloths like T-Shirts, Men Under wears, Bottoms and Jeans. Saw I'm looking for a advice from someone, to select a sewing machines that consisted with all stitches/sawing techniques.
Wow. I watched several women demonstrate this but none of them had these subtle technical details. Very helpful!
same
You're the real mvp. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are so professional, knowledgeable and helpful.
You need a closer angle, that part where the thread went through the needle was like magic. I cannot figure out how to do it.
I can show you
Yes I agree. That was just crazy. You can't just say "magically" and not actually show what's happened lol
Me either. I hate this machine. I hate any machine built in the 21st century. I miss my old Viking/Husqvarna that I bought in 1980.
Agreed. Just bought this for my wife. Excellent vid up until the magical part. We cannot figure that out. Still stuck here....
@@koochpix4117go through the link she attached in bio. You will see all the videos you are looking for. I just finished watching them n it's great.

How are you doing? Is the machine holding up?
This video just gave me so much confidence! First time trying to use my machine after bying it in the summer and after watching this video I was able to thred my bobin first try!
Glad we could help!

I just got this machine at a thrift store and your videos are so helpful. Thank you!
Such a great video. I moved & haven't touched my machine for 18 months & forgot a lot of this. Thank you! ❤
This video is by far the most helpful sewing video I have ever seen! I've been doing basic sewing for a while, but have just been making it up as I go. Thank you for being so straightforward and informative!

Can u tell me the price of machine?
This was great, I watched 8 different videos and this one finally helped me to figure out a simple nightmare for me. Thank you so much..........
Your videos help me every time I have to pull the sewing machine out and re-learn all of this. Thanks!
Thank you soooo much for uploading this! I deciding to start sewing again after about 6 years! I could vaguely remember all the steps, but the heavy duty singer has some differences to my old machine. You are a life savor with this video!
She is a true Angel!!!!! There are so many intricate details in the setup! That's why the machine wasn't working for me!👏🙏💖
Thank you so much for details explanations, I was able to make a straight stitch just out the box (with same machine). I can't believe myself! The step up was quicker than even setting up a new smartphone out of the box to make a call/ take a picture :)
been a few years since i used my machine last, forgot how to thread up a new bobbin. thanks for the video.
I love this video! It is a lifesaver for a beginner like me. Thanks so much!
So helpful! This video did give me a few tips and extra details that other videos didn't.
Thank youuuuu I was so stressed practicing by myself at home my third day of sewing class. I got it and took pictures of my first three stitches. 😂😌🤭
Very very clear instructions. You should be paid by singer
This video was way better than the official Singer's one. Thank you!
Thank you, it's been a long time since I had to refill a bobbin on my machine. I really appreciate your tutorial to remind me.
Thank you for this video. I just purchased a 4452 which appears very much the same as the 4423. A close look at threading round the needle area would be great. I will look for the close up video next. You might link the two videos.
Thank you! Saves me 🙏❤️ many thanks from Australia 🇦🇺🦘🌏
Your videos have helped me so much. Thank you :)
You are a fab teacher! Thank you for all your tips. Your detail instruction has helped me immensely. Thanks again.
Seriously. It’s the hardest part that you can’t see.
I have a new Singer model 2277 and have to get supplies, material, and thread for this machine and hope it works as advertised. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us and I will hopefully be ready to begin my journey in sewing.

Hi!!! Thnks so much for your videos. Can You show how to embroid letters with this sewing machine? Mine is model 4432.
Thank you. You saved my life thank you again.
I was looking for an instructional video not a magic show......the most important part of the whole process.
Thanks for your tips 😇
Thank you so much!. Finally watched and learned!
Clear instruction, easy to follow!
Great video. Thanks. Do wish this machine had a better light in it.
Does anyone else think she goes really fast at difficult parts and then super slow at the simple parts? 😂😅
Can we sew thick fabrics like curtains and jeans? Please im new to this.
What thread do you recommend. I am a beginner. I have no clue what brands are good.
Gutermann - good thread
What's the little circle part on the left size of the machine with the plus and minus sings for?
thank you , perfect for figuring out my new machine
Singer 4411 threading

can anyone help me i just purchase this 4423 model and mu machine seems like the no.5 thing is missing i cant turn my thread down again coz there’s no piece of metal that look like yours had on no.5 what should i do? is mine is broken or what?
hi, thank you for this video! i like the singer 4423 heavy duty, but mine has a foot control cable, that is way too short to sit and sew ergonomically: only 125 cm from the machine to the footcontrol. how long is yours?
Turn the spool cap around and have the thinnest face near the cotton. It won't bind then as it acts as a spooler.
Thanks for your help.👏👏
Does the machine come with the vertical spool pin?
A suggestion is to use different color thread for easier differentiation.
this helped me set uo my vrry first ever sewing machine but i do with you included a close up for some of the stuff but otherwise very good
Thank you you solve my problem.
Are the features of this and the Singer Denim the same ?
instructions were good until 7:40 you just say there is guide then guide. What? Cant even see what you are doing?
Ok so what type of tread do I need for this machine ? Which do you recommend jeans corona and polyester pants sweatpants for a hem job?
I wonder what could be wrong with my machine. I have the singer heavy duty 4423. Its making a loud bumping noise ,i am trying to repair belt loops. Any suggestions?

Hi thanks for the video, where is a good place to buy good quality thread? I have been looking for a good for them. Thanks
Thank you for the video I had to zoom in but I still haven't found my cutter yet
Thanks for sharing this detailed tutorial. Very helpful for beginners.
Yes I tried also that needle threading n the bobbin

Hi, can I check if the bobbin has to be plastic and only Class 15 and
not 15J? I been using metal ones and sometimes it resulted in thread
jammed.
Like it all--except for the part where her hand covers up how to open the bobbin area :( Thanks for posting. I learned a lot!
Which one will you choose between singer 4423 and janome HD 3000?
My machine came with a bobbin on the top and bottom I began seeing without the bobbin step and mine jammed the bobbin still has thread on it how do I do it if it already has thread on it
