hi, thank you for this video! i like the singer 4423 heavy duty, but mine has a foot control cable, that is way too short to sit and sew ergonomically: only 125 cm from the machine to the footcontrol. how long is yours?
@@alltagszauber thank you for watching! It seems this is a common problem with this model. Unfortunately, I haven’t found a solution. One option is if you have an electrician friend or go to a repair shop, they should be able to lengthen the cord, but you have to do it right, of course to prevent any fire hazards, and I’m not an electrician. I don’t have this machine anymore as it was not my favorite so I sold it. But I distinctly remember the pedal barely reach the floor. I don’t know Singer trying to save a few dollars by making the cord shorter? Other than that maybe email an online supply like sewing parts online and asking them if they sell a third-party pedal that has a longer cable? Sorry, I don’t have a definite answer for you.
@@kraftaculousgreekgodofcraf1113 thanks a lot for your helpful answer! so its not just my machine. i try that and maybe contact some singer channel, maybe feedback helps at least future buyers?
be sure to use a Singer needle, style 2020, in at least a size 16, but you might even need a size 18 depending on the type of denim you are sewing. Also you could try needles labeled 'for denim' or 'jeans needle' :)
I love the way you explained, it was really easy to follow. I would appreciate if you can make a video about the Malfunctional kit 32 and demonstrate what each of the foot does. It would be amazing. ❤
@@shamseaktar well that’s a super nice thing to say thank you! And I wish I had the experience to know what each of the 32 feet does in that kit lol. I’m a beginner in just about every craft that I’m interested in. Jack of all trades master of none unfortunately.
@@kraftaculousgreekgodofcraf1113 its always good to be jack of all trades and you dont know who you will be teaching a thing or two while you go along (like me). But i'm on a similar thing, trying to learn and better myself at sewing. Any good content on youtube always helps. Thank you! Stay blessed.
@@MaritesTayag-u3j crap that sucks! I highly recommend taking it to a shop with professionals, however, if you’re super bored you can use tiny little needle nose, pliers to try to bend it back straight. I don’t recommend it, though cause you could break the whole thing.
My machine arrived today, thank you so much for this and those close ups✨
