I saw Ms Guillem performing this at Lincoln Center, 3 decades(?) ago. Her entrance was one of the most explosive entries on to a stage of any performance I've ever seen. I felt like I got hit with a sledgehammer it was so remarkable. One of the greatest ballet performances. This is an amazing ballet. Thank you for posting it.

I think this video might be mislabelled; I don't think this is Sylvie Guillem. It doesn't look like her and her execution and interpretation is significantly different that her earlier performances (see the second half of this video: ua-cam.com/video/bHG93LGq_Uw/v-deo.html).
This is 16 years after she first performed it and it does look a bit under-rehearsed (as if often the case with these galas). But it is certainly Sylvie.
THIS is NOT SYLVIE GUILLEM ! FOR SURE! This women is very good but doesn't have the rythm of sylvie... and she doesn't take the same risks than her! Sylvie is playing with this ballet... like no other one!

Technically and artistically, few are her equal. With Laurent Hilaire a delight to watch!
