The torch actually relights you when a krill hits you, preventing from crystals growing on you so you can move freely to collect the scattered wings. You need minimum of 120 wings for this to work tho

But then you can't be saved from a failed krill dodge? I mean you would probaly try to fly away everytime you get spotted by a krill if there aren't any places to hide
If you tap on the torch and the candle icon at the same time you will be holding both. While you burn dark plants with the candle, it gives the sensation that your using the torch. This can be helpful at shard events because it charges you wilhe the red stones are trying to drain your energy

As a solo player, being able to charge my light with the torch is very useful

Yes I've used the march emote from assembly with the prop trick, with the torch or umbrella
I put up a video showing how, the easiest way is to pull out the prop, walk, then double tap the emote

@@jaear7016 it's one of the Aurora emotes that was available when the Guinness World record concert was being held ingame, unfortunately it's the one emote currently not available to everyone.

I used it going through eden a couple days ago, it actually worked out pretty well! It does not protect against the rocks though.

@@Storybender it's generally easier to put the torch away and get it out again, but it's a neat trick if you're close by a lantern
I have a hard time lighting up the lamps in vault of knowledge since I’m a chibi, so instead when I struggle to get my candle up there, I just use the torch😅

@@SmartyPoohBear you can do the other levels by holding on the second tap until it reaches the level you want, though some don't allow you to walk with them

@@coraline3767 good luck, someone2447 mentioned they experimented with a friend, and it could relight you if you have over 120 winged lights, so 10 stars on your back.

@@kidinawell when you learn some routes through the game, try just sticking on a 1-2 hour talky podcast or lecture, and then start candle running and you'll get there too.
At the moment I'm listening to some game dev podcasts about writing narratives in games, but I've also listened to book discussions, and even some science talks while I candle run. Find something you want to listen to but don't normally have the time, and candle run during it. It's something that can occupy your hands and motor part of your brain while your conscious absorbs some knowledge.

The absolute best item in the game at the moment in the star lantern. That thing is unbelievable. Perminant super candle, even UNDERWATER!!!!
It just resets during cut scenes though.

May i ask about the 'headdress' you were wearing that seemed to give you a little shield at the top of your wing bar? I've never seen that before!
@@namikkou yes, it's one of the elder masks, the one I'm using is the Forest Elder mask, once you have 100% on the spirits of the realm constellations, you can summon the elder of that realm in orbit at the constellation stone. Each elder sells their hair style, and Isle, Prairie, and Forest Elder's also sell a mask that give you slight protection (it's what smashes when I am hit by crabs and krill rather than losing light), and can be recharged by visiting their temple, or visiting them in orbit again. They are very expensive in ascended candles, so definitely a long term goal.
@@MaelstromSky wow i never realized that! I don't often go into Eden because i don't like losing all my light and having to recollect it, but i know i have to go back eventually, at least for my friend whose never been reborn
@@namikkou yeah I'm saving going back until I get enough travelling spirits to get to the 250 winged light 13th cape energy level, which could be a while, as we are currently on 233

thats neat but i stopped caring about the tournament because of how competitive i am (im in valley team)

Dam i missed out on a great prop 🥲 that penguin walk was the best use for it
@@raisarabbani5543 you can do the penguin walk with other props, such as the umbrella, or even instruments if you tap it fast enough while the animation of putting the instrument away is still playing (the emote wheel helps with that a lot)
