Kinda sad theory about the eggs, but I'll share. Maybe those eggs belong to the creature, who's bones are at the boneyard area of forest 🤷🏻♀️
I mean, it seems to have been ded for a long time, so it might not quite be the one who laid the eggs..

That creature is the same species as the giant fish in the hidden cave, the one that roars when you entered the cutscene, also known as the shy monster, if you compare the skull with it's face you'd see the resemblance
You know about the eggs in front of the temple, there are two possibilities in my opinion who owns the eggs, the first is the egg from krill, the second is the egg from the fish from the fish call.
I would've said they're the eggs of mantas.

The eggs on 6:17 I heard are originally for a quest back in Sky: Light Awaits; "Visit the eagle egg in forest". So I'm guessing they're eagle eggs

I was like "who's grave is this???" When I saw it and started making theories
That tomb is actually the stand of the belonging's guitar, you can see it when you reliving the pat spirit from season of belonging (also that cave where the tomb is too there's use to be a lantern that can recharge you very fast
I didn’t even notice that they had eliminated that lantern. Not much reason to visit that spot, so I guess I shouldn’t be shocked that I hadn’t noticed.
I reliving that spirit so I remembered it being the guitar stand.
If you don’t know the term “Easter egg” in gaming, then just know that it means a hidden secret. The eggs in sky are literal Easter eggs. It’s a nod to the history of secrets in gaming.
About secret room in temple. You can go here solo. Open temple, exit and fly up on temple (the gap between the temple and the clouds) fly above the temple and when secret room will be ander you go down

Had a couple theories I wanted to share. This first one was a theory I posted as a reply to someone else's post about the blue eggs:
I was thinking the blue eggs belong to the regular mantas, based on the color and patterns on them. It fits much more than any other creature they could potentially belong to. To further my thought on this, I believe the two mantas that are trapped by the darkness plants in this area are the parents of the nest and that's why they are always refilling you in that part of the map -- gratitude for saving them so they can be with their eggs.
Next theory: the fish skeleton that you get fish call from. You know how when you enter the big underground area through the small tunnel there's a cut scene with the big fish? Well normally he is hiding below the clouds. I believe the fish carcass was the big fish's mate and it does not know she passed away so when the big fish hears us skids enter the area, he emerges from the clouds momentarily to see if it is his mate finally returning to him but quickly dives back down when he realizes it isn't her. A sad, vicious cycle.
I love that Sky leaves things open for interpretation, allowing our imaginations to soar like our skids soar~~ ♥

6:09 as you can see... The two eggs are from different parent. Look closer to it and you will see that only one has the stripes mark and others don't. It clearly said that one is from Krill and other one is from dead fish hidden behind the ruined temple
If i recall, in the early game those eggs were called 'eagle eggs' and were part of the daily quest. It went something like 'find the eagle eggs' or something

I think the eggs belong got the skeleton laying in the puddle. Their mother’s dead, and because of that, the eggs were able to grow, so instead they basically froze and died. It’s depressing but makes sense

I heard the devs were planning on releasing a bird light creature roughly the size of a manta ( one can be found on a stone platform in front of Valley's Citadel area ), but they were scrapped. Maybe thats what the eggs belong to :D

The blue eggs fit the manta ray vibes more, the light blue and the design, theres also lots of small manta rays there, perhaps babies that hatched before others

i tried this a few times but I'm not sure if you can do this alone or if you have to be with someone, basically in that space before the throne room, if you sit there in the middle after a bit some fragments of a spirit will appear :-) i tried this once with a player but they were too fast, and we couldn't collect any 😔🤌

The eggs are actually easter eggs, during the easter egg hunt quest a long time ago, they just didnt fix it after.
To moth players, the skull creature was actually a whale skull, not a krill… and i found out today even though i play since prophecy :P

I'm only playing since two month but I thought that Sky was like a baby homage/inspired by Skyrim? This thought came up when I found those big bones looking like a dragon. Then these sphere thing when you leave hidden forest, in the tresor those things with the spotlights. Just thought then that Sky could be the "warm up"
You can get out of the room in Belonging cave, just fly through one of the gaps in the door, and you can force yourself through the invisible barrier
I think the eggs are a whales, you can only find krill in two places: eden and wasteland, mantas are in forest but you can only find two: both small, and there's a whale skeleton near the tree

I like to think that the eggs are manta eggs and the hidden forest was like a manta nest until darkness came and that's why they look like they're leading us to the temple so we can open the doors for them and they can continue their journey (I'm bad at English plz don't attack me)
