- Hello there Sky friends! I hope you have been well and staying safe 🐦 In today's video I'm having some fun with editing things I kinda regret doing in my years of playing Sky 🗿

I've been going through it mentally for a while and recently this past few months, everything got on top of me. So I took some time to do self care and get my head together. In this time I became a cat mom to a beautiful little boy. If it wasn't for him and a potato friend of mine, I'd still be in a rough place. And Mochi really does give me a reason to get up in the morning ( even if it's from zoomies at 3AM 💀 )

I feel this comment so much :') I thought the 1st anniversary hat was given to players on their birthday (idk why I thought that 🤦🏻♀️) but after realising it was an event - I was so mad XD

I was still a moth back then and I thought all players were npc 😂😂
I started to play the game during the 2nd anniversary. After a few days I knew that hat was part of an event available somewhere in the Vault of knowledge.
But I was terribly afraid of krills and I took ages to complete the Golden Wasteland Realm. At the time I finally reached the Vault of knowledge, the anniversary was over 😔
But fortunately I was able to take part in the Little Prince season (and managed to buy the sword pants 😌)
One thing I regret the most is letting my friend (who introduce me to this game) carry me the whole time from Isle of dawn to Eden in like a couple of days. I feel like I havent enjoyed it as much. I dont care if im doing it wrong or dont know where or what to do. That just adds more to the fun adventures!
Oh this triggered me jeez - this happened to me and I had to ask them to stop. Thankfully it wasn't so bad but I totally understand. This is the main reason I ask new players what they want to do, because even though they are trying to help, it ruins the experience for new players 💔🤧
I always incourage moths to carry me. I can zoom trough and area in high speed, spoil everything and only show how to grind. It gets the fun of discovering out of the game. I see many beeing inpatient and forcing to lead moths, it makes me sad. Even when a friend never let me fly, I got mad becouse they would say I couldn’t fly well. Yeah how would I have learned. Still many new players take me as a uber and let me fly constantly switching hands, so I also believe there’s some lazy players that push for this behavior too. When I notice I’m just beeing an uber I stop flying for them. It’s no fun to play sky this way, it’s way more fun to fly and be flown.
I let my friend join this game and helped him to pass maps, BUT didn't help him with spirits that can't be seen from first sight and some wings. Why?
Because i wanted him to explore everything by himself and enjoy the game, even though it was my first time to help moth :D
Veterans, let moths enjoy the game by themselves
this! I introduced my friend to the game, and she can only play sometimes but usually gets me to carry her. I’m always reluctant to carry my friends through bc I alr know all the paths, and I want them to experience it to. another few friends I have I got them to do most of it alone with me just following them or showing them the route but teaching them how to do it themselves, and only helping by dragging them after a while if they want me to, like if they don’t have enough flaps to get somewhere and bc they’re not as skilled fliers can’t improv. (like that one wl in the last gw area, I can get there w maybe 4 flaps, but for new flyers it’s harder so I helped out. but I also dropped her off the building right after 😁)
I tried to say to the friend that wanted me to carry her “I’m taking your training wheels away” bc I want her to still experience the game for herself so that she’ll want to play in her own time too instead of only playing when I ask 😭😭
I'm still grateful to my friend who patiantly took my hand when i was a moth and walked with me while i was thorougly discovering the world (it took me a month of 30 minutes evening sessions to get to Eden and she never ever hurried me, helping by answering my questions and explaining things. She only took me for a ride through the Graveyard and helped to reach high wl in the forest). Since then i have met only one moth wishing to play this way. Most of them want me to carry them. >_>
I WILL WORRY ABOUT TRAVELING SPIRITS STILL THAT REALLY TRIGGERED MEEEEE 😅

I’m so confused at everyone who does daily candle runs I just visit geyser and gramma twice a day and that’s enough to satisfy me. The thought of doing a whole candle run just stresses me out so I don’t even bother

Nowadays I don't do full runs. :') i use to all the time. I'd even go into office for the tiny bits of wax. But now I fly around with a friend, we just collect bits of wax here and there if we are in the area 😴🔆
@@LuminaSky that’s the way to do it. Leisurely, on your own time. I don’t think TGC ever intended for us to burn ourselves out grinding for TS items, that’s why they bring them back.
That also cause me to burnt out a lot so I just visit geyser and granny and already got 15 candles
I don't do that now😂. But when I have cr I go for granma and then for turtle wax event. That satisfies me nowadays😌
My biggest regret is not completing the little prince's session. i got back on after it ended and saw you could still get stuff so i thought you could get it wherever, i so badly wish i could get the rest i missed
YES ! my friend thought this also. He collected all the candles needed for the yellow sword pants and when he went back 🗿 they were gone! I wish tgc would bring them back because they weren't even part of the pass items and some of the other season guides still sells their "season cosmetics" so I really don't understand why the sword pants are gone🤦🏻♀️
@@LuminaSkyI think it has to do with copyright, since they don't own the Little Prince...the Aurora and Kizuna Ai cosmetics aren't available either
@@qualcuno6455 makes sense. The collab's cosmetics are the ultimate limited item and it deserves to be like that imo. I missed both the Prince and Aurora since I've only started last year, but the more precious what both of them left behind have become, and it's beautiful in that way 🤭
I also love how vets would treat moths with those priceless experiences, like a once in a lifetime vip pass. lol
Waiting for a specific traveling spirit to appear is definitely worse than you make it sound.
Mostly everyone I talk to now is waiting for the dancing performer 🙃 but for some reason TGC is holding him hostage 😂 But I remember the feeling of reeeally really wanting a certain TS to visit (for me it was the juggling sprite)
@@LuminaSky That seems to be a recurring issue, TGC always keeping all the best spirits and cosmetics in the basement where no one can get to them...
Hey, now that the Aviary Village is a thing and shows a bunch of spirits all over the place after the Eden quest, that gives me an idea: Wouldn't it be easier to just have a bunch of random traveling spirits visit the village every (x amount of time, maybe 2 or 3 weeks) to interact with and get cosmetics from? It wouldn't take nearly as long for certain traveling spirits to come back if you miss them/can't get them during one cycle, and unlike others, I wouldn't have a problem with Ultimate Gifts being included.
@@shadowstar8619 although TS does visits every other week, twice a month. But with the seasons rolling in like rain clouds, some vets did light me an incense and pray for my RIP 😂😂😂

@@fairyies The Returning Spirits thing is a once-in-a-blue-moon deal. I'm talking full-on REPLACING the TS system while making the Returning Spirits a more regular deal
If you grind constantly, you will forget to have time with friends. If its something you have as a goal together, it makes it fun and you feel like you are supporting eachother. Like trying to get elder hair and going to Eden. After grinding for years, the friends stop playing, I have a closet full of stuff, hardly can choose what to wear. And yeah you forget to make new friends. Its good to be critical about the items you really want. Invest in them and then have more fun with friends goofing, helping and just enjoying the game.
See my friends and I managed to cr while we hang out and do shenanigans. Also this was a hard lesson but I had to learn not to grind but cr as something for myself. Now a days I do it to relax from my personal life. The music is what got me hooked to sky alright
thank god I don't like socializing so i end up enjoying grinding (and im hate that part of me)

I used to obsess over cosmetics and grind like crazy. I still love grinding, but instead for every cosmetic I come across, I invest in props that allow me to enjoy the game with other players, like the tea table and instruments to play our favourite songs to each other 🤭
I still cry for the Days Of series props tho, they're precious & costly for a reason. One random moth mocked the basic table for being basic 😂 & it took me some time to recover from the roast 🤣 lmao!
2: that's why you have a monthly game budget!

(btw changing your look after running Eden is a great way to get regular use out of your wardrobe) (plus the elder masks slap, they make Eden and wasteland SO much easier, i use mine all the time)
I wish I had enough money for a monthly game budget XD And I do really like the elder masks! The eyes on the faceless mask / and elder mask looks so cool ✨ but I have zero Eden candles now and the elder masks are over 100+ candles 🫠
@@LuminaSky I mean teeeechnically a budget is just "don't spend more than $X in one month", so a game budget *could* be $2 and you have to save up to make it count. 😂
The prairie mask is cheapest! Only 75 AC + 3 AC for the hair before it. If you can max 15-16 AC per Eden run that's only about 5 runs! And then you have the mask giving you protection during future runs so it's even faster (also makes it easier to help moths since I don't have to worry about taking a hit)
@@notoriousresearcher when you put it like that, it doesn't seem so bad. I was thinking in my head I'd have to do at least 15 Eden runs 🗿 and I'm far too lazy for that ! But 5/6 runs I think I can do 😂
@@LuminaSky lol i used to be paranoid about running Eden but since i found out all the tricks I can run the whole thing + get back home in 40 minutes, so i usually run it every week just to keep things interesting 😂 or I'll camp out in a dangerous area and help rescue moths or maintain a lantern while I'm afk

😂 true ! - I was just too nice to say no to heart trading while trying to save candles ;-; all my hard work gone in a few seconds sending out hearts 🗿 I learn my lesson after a long while XD
Since I started playing in 2021, one of my biggest pieces of advice was don't stress over cosmetics, they will come back. A lot of the time other players get really sour about this advice, they get very upset, but I really think it needs to be taken into account.
Also don't buy every IAP, especially if you're not going to use it. That was a hard one I had to teach myself and I don't spend outside of new seasons very often. Being real a lot of the recent IAP's haven't really sparked my interest either, so def has helped.
Overall just enjoy the game for what it is. Any moth is going to look like and eventually be a vet player one day if they keep up with the game and have fun and make friends. You'll get there, it just requires patience 8)

@@twotruckslyrics Heck yea, you have fun with it! And take your time, it's a slow burn game and can be a little bit of a grind, but I feel like taking this game in doses is key. I'm glad older players have helped you out too, it's a great community and there will be plenty of people who will stick around and be your friend! I've still got a few of my moths who are now veteran players too 8)

exactly this. it’s insane seeing the official sky instagram announcing spirits and everyone in the comments is raging about which one they want instead and getting mad. like hey, just be patient. it’ll come when it comes!
as good as the ts advice is, it’s hard to follow sometimes. I myself get extremely hyperfixated on smth (thx adhd) but it usually only lasts max 1-2 yrs then I lose internest. sky will prob be diff bc there’s always new people to meet and fun new activities in events and seasons. albeit I’ve only been properly active since near the end of moments (installed yrs ago but didn’t play past the first area of gw bc it scared me 💀) I can already see how the events and seasons will bring me back. I did a bit of last yrs msichief so the stories are def different too- for the ones that have them, and it makes it so much more interesting. the nostalgia is still there, but for the players who did it, it still brings a new in twist. like this crab spell, I don’t think it was there last yr? I mean, I think I only came on once or twice last yr so I could be wrong lmao 😂

I’m actually one of the few that regrets NOT getting cosmetics when the TS comes by. I know people say the TS will come back anyways but some of them take like 2 years 😭 i can’t project whether i’ll still be playing in 2 years
i regret so badly getting sky in 2019 after seeing an add on a yt video, and then deciding to not play it until december 2022 T.T

I saw sky on YT ads, thinking "nah I would never play it" downloaded a while later and realised that I missed out on sanctuary Ultimate manta cape T^T
me!! i saw it on instagram, decided to play it one day on phone in 2020 and only a week ago i started again on switch

I’m even saltier because I literally had the hearts and everything I needed to buy it but I didn’t know there was a time limit to buy it so I just spent everything on constellations 🗿

I missed a whole season and days of music because life was throwing lemons at me. Now I'm just thankful I get to spend my time in SKY, it does help me get through life a little bit better each day :)

My biggest regret is that i spent so much time grinding that it’s hard to play the game anymore. Like sure, i love the game still, but i still see it as more of a chore than anything else. Also after i added all of my best sky friends on social media, i lost all reason to play the game when i could just talk to them through social media. I personally don’t regret this decision but it did contribute to my first long term break from the game.
Total agree with you here! Nowadays I don't really go to cr.. i fly randomly while talking to someone and collect whatever wax is nearby. But I certainly don't go out of my way and collect everything like I use too 🙃 burn out in this game can hit hard and it's a shame because the game itself is very pretty and unique (at least for me)
And like you said, we can talk to friends on different apps so there isn't really a need to go into sky just to talk. Although I do like to go in sky to give friends hugs and krill them once in a while 👀✨
I've been playing 2yrs and I wish I had spent the hearts you buy from permanent spirits more wisely. If only I knew what a pain the ass getting hearts would become 😂.

What I regret is breaking my ten candle Run so I could fool off later. The 20 ones are impossible now and I regret some of them since I got super burnt out because of them😅
I feel I'm at this stage.. now I have over 1000 candles I can slack off with the grind but now I kinda lost motivation to play 😂 So now I try to do other things in the game and if I do go for candle runs, I'll give myself a mini challenge - like not allowed to touch the floor (just silly things) XD
i regret not buying the Kizuna AI cosmetics😢 it was my favourite looking cosmetics but thought im not gonna waste my money on digital accessories but everytime i see players wear the hair and bow i feel so salty lmao. Im also so sad the Little Prince scarf was IAP cuz i love going as capeless as possible but it was way too expensive

For me it's the Aurora cape, like AAAGH to be able to get into the concert event at will 🥺 also those wings look so fine. But I told myself I would just watch the concert on UA-cam if I ever wanted to relive it.

For people wondering why some players won't accept friend requests from moths is either because they have not spent much time with the player, some moths just friend request random people they see. And there is a friendship constellation limit, so veteran players don't want their constellation littered with players that are offline for a long time or with people they barely know. It can also get annoying when moths offer their hands to a player and lead them to nowhere, personally I think moths should explore the world for their selves first and not ask veteran players to help, they need to experience the beauty of sky for themselves! So basically it’s the moths that sees players and friend them right off the bat that veterans are less likely to accept, not to be rude or anything!
i agree with everything except for the part about moths not asking for help. i don’t think there’s anything wrong with that and a main part of the game is to help others especially newer players. but i think that the problem is that some vets help too much, and do everything without letting the moths really do much. so i like to let the moth lead and then if they seem really confused or forget something then i lead.

2:46 HELL YEAH😭😭 I started playing Sky during season of Enchantment, and the only things to regret are things that will (probably) never come back again. It hurts, but there's literally nothing i could do about it lol

New moth here. What I regret is not using the wiki page earlier. I hate when games don't really explain things thoroughly + I can finally see the big picture with the maps. It was fun to explore the game on my own, but after a while I got so frustrated because the places are so big and I got anxious if I missed something. I can also plan my spending better which makes the game finally cozy again

As someone who went super hard grinding candles for Ts I don’t regret it at all. It didn’t pain me too much if I didn’t end up with enough and I didn’t rush the constilations at all but all the same.
I think inactivity is a valid reason to block since there’s no unfriend option. Most friends I get nowadays, are moths wanting to befriend me. I always accept and then a few months later I will add everyone who doesn’t light me up to a list and after a month of inactivity I block them. I have a favorite list of people I have actually talked to and had fun with in this game. So they are too special to remove!

I regret having no clue how seasons work during lightseekers and belonging. As a result I have neither of the ultimates 😓
I started sky on the last day of the first anniversary, and realized I wouldnt have made it to vault in time. I regret missing that hat to this day.🙃 Its still my favorite birthday hat and I internally scream inside when I see others wearing it and I dont have it.😭

I try not to worry too much about IAPs and such but I was so sad I wasn't able to buy the AP for Season of Aurora :/ That cape was so pretty and unique but I just couldn't afford it.

I lost sleep for a traveling spirit and I didn’t even get enough for the cape. I had literally join like two days before the traveling spirit came.
If you farm 22 candles any single day as I do you can have all cosmetics from traveling spiirts. Just never touch the constellation ,only take the elder mask from isle and permanent wings. I can make it pretty nice to buy all from group returning spirits and travelling spirits.
omg the friending one is so true, i no joke have at least 110 friends, so they can't fit on the constellation pages 😭

I got a friend who has a shit ton of irl cash but struggles horribly at keeping up with the new stuff in sky and struggles to fly properly, so we decided that they get me the season passes n such, and i help them keep track of ts and shards
I've spent so much in this game that I can't even look at my wallet 😅
but still, I just started playing it and I know for sure the first months it's like drgs... and I'm a crckhead 💀
I know that feeling. When I first started playing, I'd play for hours and always be in sky XD if my mom force me to work out the total I've spent - she'd be chasing me around the house with a slipper for sure 💀✨

I was surprised to learn people don’t anime dodge those big black tentacle monster things in the golden valley place. I got their for the first time yesterday and that was the first thing I did when I found one 😂
As someone who played not much but since a long time I get I shouldn't want to rush my constellations, but... I kinda want to rush my constellations. Except I never had more than 5 hearts... I stare at you, Navy Blue Cape... Piano... Everything else...
I guess I should be patient but it's kind of terrible to need 30/50/100 and more hearts to get something when you're mostly a solo player. At some point you start to wonder if getting those things will be possible one day or if it'll forever stay a dream xD
(And I'm not even talking about full completions of the constellation, just those items you saw and immediatly want... But it's been two years and uh... Yeah it's not happening yet.)
I regret buying season pass in dreams and leaving midseason because of burnout. I have the mask, but don't have that magnificent cape and things from 2 spirits there...
And yes, same, missed 1st anniversary, still salty about it.
As someone who once was stressed and always tries to get every items from TS, after skipped one recent TS and keep grinding for more candles, i finally understand that i do not need all of these stuffs at once, they will come back somehow and someday. So i save a lot more candles for even more worth Cosmetics. Till this day there are some cosmetics that i regretted buying them, it was such a waste of candles 💀 (im saving up so many too bc the Dancing Performer will come so i dont go broke immediately lol)
As someone who spends a lot on IAP cosmetics, here’s some advice; if you feel worried about if you’re going to like a cosmetic or not, that’s good! Use the free spells to just try the cosmetics and if you don’t feel any worry about a cosmetic, that’s a sign that you might like it. Carefully consider your options if you decide to get a cosmetic through the shop.
Fully agree with this, the outfit spells Definitely helps and gives you a lot of time to try out different outfit styles/combinations 🌻
Im sorry but that anubis mask is KILLING me. I NEED IT. When I play this game I will make sure I get that mask no matter how

i’m so salty that i was a moth during prophecy and dreams - i have the prophecy pendant from a friend but i didn’t get any other ultimates, and i was playing during dreams but i was too dumb to understand what to do to get cosmetics 😭

And you're not dumb, TGC does a stupid poooor job of explaining what the adventure pass is to new players. Yeah we have that (?) Guide but even after reading that, it doesn't say some items will never ever return so try to do the quests from the home statue each day 😐🌟

Fun fact, you can fly through most areas of Eden so you don't have to go through it by foot :)
don't even need that much light to do it either, the min is 5 if you time your flaps correctly
You can literally fly through all of it up until the gate of no return. Learning how to chibi fall is a massive help in eden

-Things you are Sure you're going to use and aren't too overpriced (like I got the orange🍊 cosmetic for 99 cents and I use it all the time)
-Fundraiser items like Days of Nature and Days Of Color because part of the money is donated to charity, but still make sure you like the items! (Buying them just for charity contribution is fine too!)
-the Season Pass because it costs less than most cosmetic packs and you get a ton of seasonal items + the limited ultimate gifts and extra candles to buy them.
The other stuff are just overpriced and you might buy them without thinking twice because they look cool, but then you end up using none of them, please be responsible with your money!❤

Recently got back into Sky, but a big problem I’m having is that I’m too anxious to socialise, which makes certain content, especially Eden, pretty much impossible for me
I would like to say that I kinda understand this. I'm super awkward myself, to the point I will run out of home into a map or close the game for a few minutes if someone I am friends with comes online (mainly if we have chat unlocked). I don't know why I do this.. but I get so anxious about talking, my brains like - run away 🏃🏻♀️💨
If I can give some advice on this, for now don't unlock chat with people or make friends. Light players and use emotes to communicate! And if you get too nervous, you can easily go home or close the game and that person won't know who or where you are, when you sign back in. Until you feel comfortable enough to unlock friends. If they offer to you, I usually bow emote and no emote (as a thank you but I will respectfully decline the friendship)
It also helps if you have one friend, they can kinda be the middle man for communicating! A good friend of mine is a social butterfly, while I'm trying to run away. But he will do the talking for me if I did want to say hi to other players.
Sorry for the paragraph reply! I just felt this deeply because I experience the same thing. Take your time, and push your brain a tiny tiny bit. For example - I will light one player today and say "emote hello" then fly away. Doing these small things have really helped me understand, nothing bad will happen when I do socialise 🌼 yes I still struggle irl and in game but I've been doing this little task for myself for a few months now and I've noticed some improvement 😊
There are many players who will understand that you don't want to socialise right now and totally be okay with it. If you do want to try socialising, take tiny steps at your own pace 🤍

Sometimes it’s just hard not to feel a little lonely, but at the same time utterly terrified of attempting any sort of interaction. Baby steps definitely seems like the way to do it.

an easy advice - just light everyone and stay near them, eventually you`ll find people who will hang out with you even if you dont speak. I have a friend that sometimes teleports to me, does not say anything ever, does not reply to my questions, does not respond to my interactions, just does some goofy stuff arond me and just basically hangs out around for some time. I have accepted that is just how he or she is (i still dont know the gender or name lol) and we are still friends. It is the weirdest thing but also kinda wholesome. So just do what you can - light people, run around them, just stand around them and emote lol, eventually something nice or fun is bound to happen. good luck!

Only quarter of my friends(veterans) play with me and if they busy with their friends,i still see them and play with them.

The thing is. There are only so many spirits that can return in a certain amount of time, and seasons keep coming. So if you lose a spirit, it might just take 4 years for them to return... Bu then, will you even still be playing sky? No wonder people worry! I hate this practice of making it blink and you'll miss it. Traveling spirits should stay for 10 days, enough time to collect the candles you need to buy their stuff. There aren't many each month so it's doable!

I've been playing Sky for 3 years, and I really recommend the player to not buy all the cosmetics and upgrade spirit emotes level 2 and 4 because:
1. I don't really use all the cosmetics. It will end up benched inside my inventory. And some of the cosmetics sometimes are not worth our candles (sorry!).
2. Imagine wasting 3-6 hearts just to upgrade the spirit emotes and only having the shiny and blink2 effect on it?? I think level 1 and level 3 emotes are much better and sufficient.
But of course this is my advice and one of my most regrets for this past year. It's up to you guys how you want to spend your candles as much as you like though

The one thing I regret the most is buying that dang frog mask from the king in the season of the little prince. I wasn’t around for the season, but when the king came I bought his mask instead of the cape. This is why I think sky should have a refund option on items. The frog face is ugly and I never use it, and I’m still salty about it two years later.

The valley hairstyles are super cool ! I remember trading hearts with so many people to get the wasteland hairstyle but I'm so indecisive on outfits, I only wore it for a few days afterwards 🗿 but good luck with getting the elder hair ! 😎✨

There use to be a cap to the amount of friends but I have no idea if it's still a thing.. but you can make anyone a favourite friend in the friends that you do have 😊
Its easier to find people now we can edit the friend stars and move names around. Before we had to go into a map, return home over and over and filter through friends this way 🙃😂
