Thanks for all the great knowledge shared and fair comments on cost, part unification and cons of OEM ceramic brakes for which many are evangelical believing as the best
This was great! Now that the PFC Kit is on there....are we able to run 18" wheels instead of the Chariot sized OEM wheels? I really want to run 18" Cup wheels for a track set. Something needs to be customized in the rear suspension or CUP parts? thank you.
From PFC: Our kits with the 380mm rotors front and rear will allow most 18” track wheel fitment. All parts fit directly to the stock street car suspension without any modification needed.
From TPC Racing: It depends on if the car is a 991 or 997. 997 running 18" wheel no problem at all. 991 street car rear suspension won't clear 18" wheel. Unless they do the newest mod that Mike did on his Optima car - he took Cup car rear uprights and extensively modified them to fit street car, which in itself is another hour long video ;)
1:45, but a Porsche is not "an everyday street car". The factory steel brakes when I am on a track day with Porsche are flawless, forget about the PCCBs on my own personal 911. In all out competitive racing where $$$ are concerned, I can understand the need for an upgrade.
A most informative 49 minutes! Thanks Vu!

Enjoyed the thoughtful question and answer on number of pistons increasing over the years and why that is.

@@PorscheClubofAmerica yes I have the full kit on my E92 M3 the last 3 years and I LOVE IT! Best braking system I have ever used.
@@PorscheClubofAmerica yes this is what I’m speaking of...the 991. I’m looking to get into a 991.2 and would love to accomplish the 18” wheel setup.
@@PorscheClubofAmerica would be great if you guys did a video on that! What it takes to run 18” on the 991 platform 👍🏻
Great session and very creative format.

Great information thank you , I have a question about how effective a properly applied cryogenic treatment process to iron rotors and pads ?

Ok, why every serious racing team uses just smooth rotors?
That was awesome!
