I'm Diamond 1 and i play a lot of genji, so obviously I'm not the best of the best but I'd like to add some things: He mentions managing your cooldowns in the short a little. Emphasize this more in your own gameplay on EVERY character and you will get better, but it is very important on Genji. Have intention and meaning behind every time you deflect and dash, and keep in mind you really can't engage well when either of those is on cooldown. You need both abilities up to effectively dive someone. But dont just manage your own cooldowns, bait out and manage the ENEMY'S cooldowns. A one HP moira or reaper is meaningless if they still have their get-outta-jail-free cards up. The worst thing you can do is dash in to finish a kill, the enemy just uses a movement ability and you end up feeding.
I like poke genii. If you annoy them enough they will eventually have to heal. In the instance (especially in low to mid SR) they will get distracted, forget/ lose sight of you. Then you can be a rat and sneak around to finish a kill or pick off unsuspecting players. Esstientually describing poke then dive. But with extra words and steps.
As a rein player when I play against gengu I often start a fire strike then throw it in to Narnia expecting gengu to try to deflect and waste a cool down for no value

Of course and everything is situational but it takes a good player to know when you have that downtime. No shot friend… this was one of the best textbook genji plays against pros I've ever seen. Good engage, good patience on cooldowns, cleanly cancels sheath animation straight into a double dash melee kill.
1st tip is poor, DEFLECT MOIRA ORBS AND FIRESTRIKES. Anything with AOE can build LOADS of ult charge while denying their MAIN WAY TO CHARGE THEIR ULTS!!! Be especially aggressive with firestrikes, and other abilities that are a characters MAIN WAY OF CHARGING ULT.
Ive watched you play a few times and alot of these tips are not typically explained well, when it comes to deflect holding most the time its too buy time or use as a defensive, when using it as a mobility enabler and getting closer to the target you also need to understand that burning that CD while closing that distance puts you in the most vulnerable place you can be in
