Loved this era. Almost every team had a different style. Payton and Kemp, stockton and Malone, hardaway and shaq, Williams and webber, jordan and pippen, carter and mcgrady, robinson and duncan, I could keep going but if you grew up with this era then you know.
Jason Williams was a phenom. The NBA was so much fun to watch back then. He was truly underrated as a PG. You want to talk about court vision...He was light years ahead of 80% of the players during his time. I can only think of 2 players who could succeed him, 3...Magic Johnson, John Stockton, and Steve Nash..And he could light you up from beyond the arch. Even many players that he played against will tell you the same. Jason Williams could drop dimes like the best of them. He was one of the best at dropping dimes that ever played the game. He's in the top 100 (83rd) of all time for a reason. Also, just image if he played today, he would be even better, because players today look to score first, he could dish the rock to even more of his teammates, and not just a few of them. #FACTS!

My boy had J-Will on his team at a YMCA game here in Orlando. He said he threw him a pass so crisp between defenders that it slipped through his hands out of bounds. This man's court vision is unreal.
I bet his teammates learned to stay ready for a pass at all times when he had the ball. Even if it looked like he was going up for a layup the ball could come back to you without Jason even looking back. His awareness and perception is off the charts!

I got to meet Scott Pollard just by chance when I was living in Sacramento ( He played Center for the Kings - he's in some of these clips) and I asked him how do you know when to be ready for Jason Williams' passes. He said something along the lines of "you better not be sleepin' or he'll wake you up." I took that as "always be ready."

Man Webber was like on Jay’s exact same wavelength. Some of the other guys act surprised or hesitate when they get the ball, but Webber just grabs it and does his thing, perfectly in sync. Incredibly underrated duo, and one of the most fun to watch!
Look, I know this is supposed to be all about J Will, and we all know he was an amazing passer, but whenever I watch these kinds of passes, I think to myself...I'm just as amazed that the other guy caught the pass! I mean, how do they know it's coming to them? They catch it like they knew the whole time it was coming and where it would be. I find that equally as amazing.

i think its a signal for the guy near the rim to be ready to receive his pass and shoot so that the receiver will not be surprised and fumble. But for the other team it means that they fuqed up and get ready to get an earfull on their coach on the next timeout

I first saw him when he was young in his career, in a documentary. He practiced in a gym at al hours, and dribbled with gloves on so he couldn't feel the ball as well, but just needed to do it anyway. He took shot after shot at points on the gym wall for hours. Crazy relentless practice hours and work ethic and creativity. I couldn't help but admire the heck out of that story of working so damn hard. And to think that ... it actually paid off! He's such a small guy, and wound up in the NBA competing at top levels! I love the guys for his hard-work ethic, and also for his huge court sense, like Magic Johnson, Wayne Gretzky, et al. Guys like this FORCE you to play better, or the ball will just pass by you while the whole nation and your mom are wondering WTF is wrong with you.

I was in my early 20's watching this guy. It was fun to watch and at times just mesmerizing how crisp and on point all of his passes were! They literally defied laws of physics.... loved watching this guy

Winking to the broadcasters courtside during a no look pass, smiling to the crowd, yelling out before a pass. Not just a great basketball player, or pro athlete, but a great Entertainer. He had the bounce pass,no look, alley-oop,shovel , behind the head, standard , and of course his signature around the back bullet passes right on target.... He’s the basketball player that all other basketball player’s wish they could play like. When you think about it from that perspective that’s a greater accomplishment than making the HOF or winning an NBA championship(which he has).

I got to meet Scott Pollard just by chance when I was living in Sacramento ( He played Center for the Kings - he's in some of these clips) and I asked him how do you know when to be ready for Jason Williams' passes. He said something along the lines of "you better not be sleepin' or he'll wake you up." I took that as "always be ready."
You I guess you learn to be ready for the call quick. Everyone loves someone who gets them easy buckets so if all you have to do is keep your hands up and watch it’s a more than fair trade

Man Webber was like on Jay’s exact same wavelength. Some of the other guys act surprised or hesitate when they get the ball, but Webber just grabs it and does his thing, perfectly in sync. Incredibly underrated duo, and one of the most fun to watch!

Look, I know this is supposed to be all about J Will, and we all know he was an amazing passer, but whenever I watch these kinds of passes, I think to myself...I'm just as amazed that the other guy caught the pass! I mean, how do they know it's coming to them? They catch it like they knew the whole time it was coming and where it would be. I find that equally as amazing.
I'm sure they got those kinds of passes all the time during practice. Like Shaq said, when J will has the ball you always gotta be ready for it, even if it seems impossible for him to pass it to you. But yeah you're right, its pretty incredible

i think its a signal for the guy near the rim to be ready to receive his pass and shoot so that the receiver will not be surprised and fumble. But for the other team it means that they fuqed up and get ready to get an earfull on their coach on the next timeout

I first saw him when he was young in his career, in a documentary. He practiced in a gym at al hours, and dribbled with gloves on so he couldn't feel the ball as well, but just needed to do it anyway. He took shot after shot at points on the gym wall for hours. Crazy relentless practice hours and work ethic and creativity. I couldn't help but admire the heck out of that story of working so damn hard. And to think that ... it actually paid off! He's such a small guy, and wound up in the NBA competing at top levels! I love the guys for his hard-work ethic, and also for his huge court sense, like Magic Johnson, Wayne Gretzky, et al. Guys like this FORCE you to play better, or the ball will just pass by you while the whole nation and your mom are wondering WTF is wrong with you.

I was in my early 20's watching this guy. It was fun to watch and at times just mesmerizing how crisp and on point all of his passes were! They literally defied laws of physics.... loved watching this guy
