Esse torneio não se tornou a Copa das Confederações, pois ela já existia, inclusive o Brasil foi campeão nesse mesmo ano. Talvez tenha servido pra FIFA ver que colocar as Confederações no país-sede da Copa do Mundo um ano antes fosse um bom evento-teste, mas aí tô chutando.
