How to create the Snowman Rig for CARP Fishing 🎣☃️

This snowman rig is something I take around everywhere in my armoury.
It’s the perfect rig (inspired by the one and only Terry Hearn).
1- Take about 12 inches of your chosen hook-link. Next strip off around 4/5 inches (I striped off too little).
2- At the end that you have stripped off, make a little over hand knot. Below your first knot, make another one (I do this so your snowman doesn’t move up and down the hair, if this isn’t done, your bait may not be presented).
3- Add your 12mm pop up and 15mm bottom bait onto the hair and seal it in place with a bait stopper. Slide your rig ring down the other end of the hook-link.
4- Leave about 1/2cm between the bottom bait and rig ring, tie another over hand knot to keep the ring in its place. Longshanks are my preferred hooks for this snowman rig.
5- Pass the hook point through the rig ring and hold the ring in place (roughly inline with the point). Pass the hook-link through the top on the eye and whip around the hook 4/6 times and pass back through the eye again.
6- If your stripped material hasn’t come through the eye yet (maybe because your didn’t stripped enough off) pull the coated material back until you have about an inch or so of stripped hook-link after the eye.
7- Cut off around 1cm of silicone and shrink it down with boiling water or steam, and set on a 45 degree angle. Add putty on top of the coat material that you have pushed back.
8- Pass through an anti-tangle sleeve. Tie a figure of 8 knot at the top end of the hook-link.
I hope this rig will help you catch more on the bank, it certainly has helped me.
