@@FawfulsMinionYT Dude, you're nailing it with the character expression, both through the way you express your voice and the way the animation is done. Keep it up, pal!
Thought I would add one more to the Messed counter: The amount of species, or rather lack thereof, you can play as. I didn’t know Sega leaked Splatoon’s Rise of the Mammalians early, because that’s what we got for the Avatar. Barring bird, every single one of the Avatars are mammals. I wanted to play as a reptile/lizard. But no. Where’s my lizards? Where’s my fish? Where’s my bugs? My Bugs! *My Bugs!* And on top of that. They give us the choice to play as a Wolf or Dog. Dogs are domesticated wolves. Forces gave us the same animal twice.
I’ll go ahead and add my own complaint to the pile: The Wispon weapons, while a great idea conceptually, don’t look or feel particularly well-thought-out in terms of actual gameplay; Oftentimes ending up as little more than an equippable one-note gimmick. Take, for example, the Lightning Wispon…not only could it have easily replaced the Grappling Hook as your main means of level traversal, but it also could’ve been used grab onto smaller enemies and toss em around lasso-style. But instead, all it does is a basic sweeping attack, and *sometimes* act as a poor man’s Light Dash. Now granted, not *all* of the blame can be laid on the Wispons themselves; The overly-constricted, hallway design of most of the levels rarely permits exploration or experimentation with the Wispons as is - and a large chunk of the associated Wisps they’re attached to have always suffered from being one-note gimmicks since Colors - but it’s hard not to feel like SEGA and Sonic Team didn’t really try very hard to make the Wispons particularly fun to use.
I knew from the start that this was going to be Red's first victory. But it was a lot closer than I expected. You can really find the best in every game.

For me, I feel like the main connecting through line for all of these games is Sonic. I just find him so endearing as a character and so charming that I can’t help but love him. It’s like, sure, the company he’s a part of can be a bit shady at times and ingenuine but… he isn’t. Even when this franchise was at its lowest I just think Sonic himself is such a fun and loveable character that sticks with you. I think that’s why we stick with him even at his worst. And why it’s so satisfying to see him succeed in Frontiers. The story is amazing in Frontiers but just seeing Sonic be praised and loved and cheered for in the public eye is just so satisfying because, he deserves it. When he slips he doesn’t sit there in embarrassment. He keeps on going. It’s like One Way Dream said. “They said we’d break. They said we’d lose. But here we are! What else is new?”
Definitely one of the more mixed bags in the sonic series. It's not that it's bad. Its just pretty clear that there was only 3 developers in level design, and the fact the physics designer was new blood, that honestly should have been watched over rather than mania

I think the main issue with Forces is when it was released. Mania was *the* Sonic anniversary title, even more so than Generations. But Forces? It's just... there. It's not the worst, but it's far from the best... or even great. It's just... ok
There are some games that I consider to be "guilty pleasures"; some examples are Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, Kirby Star Allies, and Mario Sports Superstars. After playing it last summer, Sonic Forces is the next game to add to that pile. Don't get me wrong; the game has a lot of holes in quality. Infinite was laughably easy to fight and poorly executed as a character, Tails and the supporting cast were unfairly helpless, and the game is ridiculously quick to finish. Still...I enjoy the easier difficulty despite the war-torn aesthetic of the story. Speaking of the story, while it's definitely a more serious tone than most of the Boost Era games...it still stays mostly on the funny side, particularly with Sonic and his wit. As for anything else...I like that Shadow is playable in some of the main stages and fighting Zavok and Metal Sonic is kinda enjoyable. Anyway...I think that I can agree on this ranking. Forces is a fun time, but it's not something that I would recommend to any veteran Sonic fan. Even as one who proclaims Colors as my favorite Sonic game, Forces is just okay at best. Nice job!
I mean, the proportion of good to bad in Scarlet and Violet would be kinda tough to made a video on I think, I doubt Awful would have much more to say than "it's buggy" and "Geeta's fight was painfully easy" BDSP on the other hand...
Nice episode, once again. Though I was a tiny bit surprised by the result, seeing how this game ended up in your last top ten. Do you still put it there or would you change it if you could? Just curious. I personally enjoyed the game and I remember liking some of bosses and level designs. Still I understand the final score you gave the game. Good work. MAY WE MEET AGAIN!
Intro was hysterical. Could always do top 5 best AND worst sonic games... Think about it. You could just do... this, but as a review, game by game. Complicated? Sure, but we'd all watch the SHIT out of that.
Some extra criticism at forces the game can be beat in 3 hours and some level design is so automated that for example the first level can be done in almost all boost and a singular jump
Forces is a decent game. It's way too overhated imo. I'm hoping Infinite comes back for a redemption, like how the Zeti got redeemed in IDW. So glad Ian Flynn is on board.

Nice job!
Yeah the final boss is just a carbon copy of the nega wisp armor, done twice
Wonder what positives he managed to come up with
15:10 WHEN WILL THE LIES END???
The Legend Of Zelda The Wind Waker - Blessed or Messed
Pretty much every modern Pokémon game makes for a Blessed of Messed
I mean, the proportion of good to bad in Scarlet and Violet would be kinda tough to made a video on I think, I doubt Awful would have much more to say than "it's buggy" and "Geeta's fight was painfully easy"
BDSP on the other hand...
I actually would rather play the original sonic 06 than forces. At least that 06 had substance, and made an awesome fan game with project 06.
10:56 KID ICARUS UPRISING REFERENCE!!!
This fame has some great music in it and some great charicter cameos
And some not so good charicters cough charmey
Oh lord talk about playing with Fire.
Love your videos they bring joy to most of my day so are you going to review favorite Pokemon for scarlet and violet games or legends new evolutions
Bit of a shot in the foot for the franchise, but I feel like Frontiers healed that up real quick with a Quick-Fix Ubercharge.
I enjoy the writing and banter. and the criticism and jokes are strong. however the lack of music is absolutely maddening.
Uh, what do you mean? There is music in the background.
Mostly wasn't audible and hard to listen to even with high quality speakers
@@forrestgnome7160 Not...from how I'm hearing it? I don't even know what to tell you.
@@FawfulsMinionYT probably just old ears from listening to extensive breakcore. still a great video though.
Still waiting for that Pokemon games bdsp video or any Pokemon games
Intro was hysterical.
Could always do top 5 best AND worst sonic games...
Think about it. You could just do... this, but as a review, game by game. Complicated? Sure, but we'd all watch the SHIT out of that.
0:15 Who's the leader- or that wasn't what you were going for
Some extra criticism at forces the game can be beat in 3 hours and some level design is so automated that for example the first level can be done in almost all boost and a singular jump
Great video as always^^
Forces is a decent game. It's way too overhated imo. I'm hoping Infinite comes back for a redemption, like how the Zeti got redeemed in IDW. So glad Ian Flynn is on board.
With SEGA, the fun is Infinite… until they throw the Infinite part away, never to be further developed or given more depth.
