Oh man, I winced and cried when you cracked off the flange nuts with no penetrant and then the studs came out instead... ooops! But the car sounds good now.. Big improvement
have a 08 MCS, still thinking what exhaust to get, intake, intercooler, and even big turbo already, but exhaust still OEM, can't really make up my mind, until I hear your JCW exhaust, this one should be the one I want.
You shouldn't have to bend the bracket on the downpipe. The studs they attach to are on brackets of their own connected to the motor. Those brackets are adjustable. At least they are on my 2012 R60. It has the same motor and the same downpipe so I assume the same brackets.
Not sure if this is what I also need to change on my 2012 mini. Out of no where I had smoke coming out of my hood and also there was a sewer or rotten egg smell coming from it and thru the A/C .. could it be that I need to change mine as well?
What website is the most affordable for the r56 second generation? I just bought a 2009 S and I want to do the downpipe and cold air intake it already has coilovers and performance exhaust and oil catch can. Please LMK if you can thanks.
Hey bro how were u popping when u still have the cat on ? I have removed muffler and resonator and install cold air intake and diverted adapter and still can’t pop
2 things. To zip tie the lambda sensor is an error because the electronics cannot keep up with a correct stoichiometric ratio so the temps in the cylinders raises and having a mini r56 you should already know how bad is it for that engine. Plus, you probably should improve your clutch control. It can be eared at every gear changing at the end of the video.
not a lot if any, maybe a few hp. but what you reaaaaaally want if youre doing the de-cat DP is a stage 1 or 2 tune on the car to get the most out of the DP
I did the same downpipe with o2 sensors in but the check engine light came on because there’s no cat anymore so that’s the error code coming out, the error code is P0420 gotta get it tuned out
@@Andy-ti1uk Have you figured out how to tune out that P0402 code yet? I am wanting to do this mod mainly to reduce heat under the hood, but don't want to have a constant check engine light on.
No exhaust? Just the dp ? If so the sound is pretty close to stock still , a little louder and only a little raspier. Did you get a cel ? I’m not sure but I think on the the n14 you can use an o2 spacer and reinstall your lower o2 and not get a code

Mate a cat less down pipe has nothing at all to do with a sewer smell coming from your a/c. Get that checked man

You have to put it in sport mode for it to pop

The only reason to swap the downpipe is so you can get a stage 2 tune . Other than that it’s pretty much pointless

How is the Drone when cruising?
When under a load while cruising like going up a hill it’s there but on a flat surface there’s basically none

just the dp, i now have no resonator or secondary cat and its much louder.
Did hear a lot of pops and bangs at the end tho😞
