You must have been a narrowback before becoming a lineman, because no lineman can derive a switch from an outlet like you did. Great videos! I love the little line trade Easter eggs around the shop. The FR, the stay out sign, your rigging the heater as if it where a single phase pot.... I got you brother...Once again! great videos, I'm just getting into the woodworking craft myself.

Thanks for the kind words man! My actual line of work is an electrical mechanic, I build and maintain substations, and do all the electrical in our dams and other generation facilities. So I have a little knowledge in a lot of different areas one day I can be running control circuits, the next day I will be taking a 230kv auto transformer out of service to change the bushings out.... thanks for watching, and I’m glad you enjoyed it!

@@brewbuilds yep me as well! I am currently reconfiguring a 69 to 12 substation and adding a 41 MVA transformer out here in AZ. I love line work but I just cant climb any more, (Bad knees and back). I work out here for an utility in substation construction. Love it, I have lots fun. Currently working on making my 3 car garage into a shop because of your videos and learning from you. I guess you can say I am an apprentice once again. Thank you brother...

@@scientegichumansystems1835 that's awesome! (well not the part about the bad knees, and back) i got into the trade after going to line school in 09' in Washington state in my hometown, and actually signed the books and interviewed in Arizona, but i took the first opportunity as a grunt in my current department with the utility i got in my hometown and stuck with it. all these trades have an endless amount of knowledge to learn that's why i like them. don't ever hesitate to reach-out to me at brewbuilds2@gmail.com if you have ang questions or just want to b.s, and thanks for all the positive feedback.

Nice beard cam! And that’s so smart to use snow as ceiling insulation.... Nice video. I want a heater in my garage so bad! Not that big though.

@@brewbuilds yeah I bet. Insulation sucks. You’ll have to update on how much it costs to run that thing.

What did you use on your ceiling to lift that out of your truck? Like a huge eyebolt into a stud?

Yeah pretty much, if you watch at about the 3:03min mark when I’m up in the attic you’ll see the 2x4 with the eye bolt in it laying across the frame of the hanger I installed. Then I attached a pulley to it for my winch rope to roll through.

Why electrical tape the outlet in a plastic box.

It’s mostly just habit for me, I do it at work so I do it at home too. There are a lot of times when I come back to trouble shoot or add on, and I’ll do it hot so it just gives me a little wiggle room when opening it back up. But really it isn’t necessary.

In my opinion installing a separate cb for this small of a load is a waste of panel space…
