Casting Mulan's Sword From Scrap Aluminum Ingots - DIY Metal Sword Making

- In this video I'll be melting down some aluminum ingots and making Mulan's sword from the 1998 Disney movie. I'm melting the aluminum ingots I made in a previous video on melting aluminum cans. The 3D model was found on thingiverse and I made a mold of it in petrobond sand. After casting the sword, I sanded, polished and etched the Mulan logo into the blade with acid. I’d say my favorite ring is the lighthouse. You don’t see a lot of lighthouse jewelry and my grandfather was a lighthouse keeper. Might make a cool Xmas gift for him.

I looked at the female rings and fell in love with MANDALA FLOWER COPPER STERLING SILVER SKULL RING and DOUBLE GHOST HAND STAINLESS STEEL SKULL RING and any other skull rings. I was actually amazed how cheap some of those were. The Mjolnir Wolf stuff was very cool!
As for this week's pour, man that was a lot of flashing to deal with. I just got that swag stand for my saw like that, need to get it setup this weekend, looks like that setup came in quite useful for this cleanup.

What’s the benefit of slowly increasing the grit? What happens if you go straight to 3000?
There will still be the deep scratches. You have to slowly work your way up to make it shine 👍🏻

the part of the blade that had the leak out i think was caused because the piece of plywood you used to mold the sand on was warped look back at when you layed the mold in there it had lots of gap's
