Love listening to Kurt break things down for us! 👍
Kurt Warner so smart, tv coach.
Josh Allen is not an anticipatory thrower that is why he is stuggling in Ken Dorsey's offense. Josh Allen's biggest weakness is processing. He misses a lot of those quick read plays where the throw must be out quick. Josh Allen excels at the vertical passing game with shots outside the numbers. If he has to make quick reads and throw anticapatory routes at 10-20 yards inside the hash marks he struggles. Ken Dorsey failed to make an offense that plays to Allen's strengths, at the same time though Josh has got to put it all together. Its year 6, comon man.
That’s literally the worst take I’ve ever heard with knowing that Kurt did a breakdown of Josh doing those exact things you’re stating that he can’t do at an ELITE level.
@@MB-wc3fe He doesn't though. See his league leading turnovers and where they were thrown. In this video alone he is missing those middle field reads. L take Lil bro.
@@te2934 “see his league leading turnovers” tell me you don’t watch Josh Allen without telling me you don’t watch Allen. Another clueless fan thinking that Josh’s turnovers are due to an inability to process the field. You don’t lead the league in redzone (most condensed area of field) passing tds if you have an inability to process the field
@@MB-wc3fe They literally are due to his inability to process. LMAO 🤡. Turnover Allen strikes again. Herbert does the exact same thing.
@@te2934 nope. sounds like you don’t know ball. Also, sounds like a tua fanboy💀💀💀
Great video. Learned a lot!
Ken Dorsey was the easiest guy to fire, but I don't think it fixes anything.
Josh Allen fans: *has a literal Hall of Fame QB telling them Josh is missing reads*
Josh Allen fans: WELL THAT'S CLEARLY NOT JOSH'S FAULT!!! IS HE SUPPOSED TO DO EVERYTHING?!
😂🤣
@@legitdragon6202Dorsey ain’t a hof qb. Also even the best players doesn’t mean they good coaches
@@squeegeeGoat Kurt Warner... the person doing the video... 🤦♂️
@@legitdragon6202 mb I’m slow
@@legitdragon6202ofcourse he does. When you watch film after the fact every qb misses reads Drrrrrrrr
The issue to me is that they didn't build off of plays. They didn't have different plays from similar formation. That under route I don't know if Kincaid had the option.
And it wasn't just Josh. They fumbled the ball on the very first play. Missed handoff and dropped passes. There was something lethargic about the entire team other than the defence.
Maybe the HC needs to be a HC not a DC.
No that wasn't it. What was the knock on Kirk Cousins? He was to careful because he didn't want to throw interceptions. So he was called "Check Down Charlie" by a lot of analysis. You can see that Josh is a "gun slinger" there is to much check downs in this offense. He wants to let rip. LOL😊
On the mesh concept I know he got some pressure but isnt the hook open? That’s usually there specifically for when it’s zone.
I really appreciate this perspective.
Informative…thanks
They werent gonna bench Josh Allen so.....
I love that I live in a time where someone is breaking stuff like this down. Ppl used to get fired and that was it. Now we have all 22 and Kurt Warner explaining why someone should or shouldn't have gotten fired. 🙏🏿
I am kind of surprised at the grief the HC is taking. Sean McDermott knows what he’s doing. Not a Bills fan so don’t know the issues but my circle of friends respects the HC
Josh Allen next game - 3 INTs
You shouldn't fire someone for poor execution of plays surely that's down to the players 🏈
But when the offense is so predictable, then it's the OC. His play calling was horrible and this game was the last straw.
@@likwit7165 I'm on the other side of it if it didn't slip through a players hands or a mistimed route he'd be considered brilliant 🏈
@@likwit7165there were open plays all game, what do you mean predictable? If it was predictable than there would be nobody open....because the defense *predicted* the play and covered all options....C'mon bro listen to yourself
The O.C. and quarterbacks coach job is to get their QB ready. Is Josh not coachable?
@@dogonit7412 I believe he is but everyone can have a few bad games
The sad thing is if the players could count they had the game won as soon as the field goal was missed.
If you are relying on a missed kick to win then you shouldn't be winning that game.
Need to gameplan by not turning the ball over and that starts with Allen and Cook
Ken Dorsey got fired before Matt Canada? Crazy lol
They have most of the talent they need but there’s too many player mistakes and the play calls are not working. If you look back at the recent game, nobody is open.. Allen has no choice but to either throw a check down and fail to get a first or he makes a risky play that ends in an interception. Ken Dorsey leaving doesn’t fix the player mistakes, but his play calling was not working for the team at all
its not dorsey its josh
"Shhh you'll anger him... no no Josh, it's okay, you're magnificent and don't need to change anything... no no the turnovers aren't your fault, go back to throwing and fumbling the ball to the other team buddy..."
How dare you try to suggest little Joshie might be partly to blame?! 😂
It’s not josh😂
@@carsonmack-di2kiyah it is
You guys are casuals. It is Dorsey and the recent game is a small sample size of the issue. Dorsey has turned a 13-3 team into a 5-6. Unless you’re nuanced fan you’re flat out guessing
It is about 1/3 Dorsey. He's doing what the Head Coach/DC told him to do. Drag out possessions longer, so the D doesn't get gassed after too many short drives. No scripted Josh runs. I'd say it's 1/3 Dorsey, 1/3 McDermott, and 1/3 Josh
Throwing a pick on a comeback route is Josh fault because he threw it late, a comeback route is an anticipation throw but he always holds the ball to long. This video is literally showing you how bad of a decision maker he is.
Lol Kurt Warner, a H.O.F, Superbowl winning *Quarterback* is a casual??? Hahaha because you said so? Lol!!!!!
Didn’t even answer the question in the video title
Using this game to justify why Dorsey shouldn’t have been fired is blasphemous. This was actually one of Dorsey’s best called games (rare) and one of Josh’s worst games. Actually go back and watch the film dating back to last year’s week 7 vs GB and you’ll easily find that Dorsey’s inability to use players to their strengths, use creativity, lack of adjustments, not sticking to what works, and refusal to run the ball has been the glaring issue all along. Thus, why his firing was justifiable.
Funny how everyone only uses 1 example as if this wasn’t coming for a year+
So we all need to see the outcome before the question can be answered. fact!
Ok, but sounds like you're saying it's all Josh's fault here.
He's mid
Alot of it is...
@@d8l835 I don't disagree sadly
Kurt Warner is the only person on football media I trust to give objective and honest takes
spot on. He is the best on breaking down the game in all three phases.
I mean, he's giving an honest take on the cherry picked plays. Sure. But when he breaks down KC film, for example, its always to show the cherry picked awesome plays Mahomes does. When he does Buffalo film he only shows the failed plays.
I mean, he's honest about what he's saying about the clips that got cherry picked sure. But you could do the same for every QB out there. Cherry pick only bad play sand show how that QB or team is failing.
Should have fired the special teams coach.
Also, did Dorsey throw those picks?
Did dorsey throws the picks tf kinda of question was that😂
Did Dorsey call that play and tell Josh, you have to do as I say?
@SkyeFn2020 What he's saying is Dorsey had zero control over the reads and turnovers. If the QB seen something different then he could have / should have made the necessary adjustments at the line.
@@florencemorgan2674yes, and no. He did call the play, and no he didn't tell him do as I say....because if Dorsey told him to throw 2 picks and fumble the ball, and Josh Allen did what he was told than both of these clowns need to be fired and investigated for tanking.....seriously bud use common sense
Firing someone over one bad play is dumb. And no, Dorsey did not throw the picks. He is the OC and wasn't even on the field. Do you know who Dorsey is?
Yes
hes got that aaron rogers hiccup that he had that one year when all he wanted to do was run around and wouldn't get the ball out
Non Bills fans claiming Dorsey was a scapegoat because of the Broncos game, but most Bills fans have been clamoring for his firing since LAST YEAR!
Denver is just good
sussshhh. When the Bills lose we only talk about all the bad things the Bills did. We never take into account they may have just played a better team that day.
@@RageDaug they 100 did not play better lol
Cliff notes?
Play calling and design is not the issue, execution of it is. More Josh Allen and the offenses fault than the coach who just got fired
Yeah, pretty much. Kurt is saying the problem is all of the players and their execution, not the one guy who's job it is to get them ready to play and design plays that help them become successful.
Yes.
A sacrificial lamb was needed.
The problem is Dorsey, Allen, and McDermott. They have all regressed. And Allen has lost faith in the system and himself because he's throwing so much and getting so many turnovers
He's been a turnover machine his entire career... that's on him.
Tom Brady: "Part of the game is mitigating risk"
Josh Allen: "Nah..."
@@legitdragon6202 He turned over the ball but not this much. I'm a Jags fan. So when Trevor Lawrence threw 17 picks in one season I didn't fret. Because I felt he would he get them under control. And he did. Josh Allen broke out around 2019-2020. And that was with Daboll.
@@legitdragon6202 He's not a turn over machine shut up
@@maskedman5657he has the most turnovers in the league since being drafted, this is who he is, and who he has always been...it's on tape, stats are forever lol
I remember watching dorsey when he was with the niners as a kid and remembered that he sucked so bad that it made me cry. I dont even know how he became an offensive coordinator years later when he literally sucked it up all his career. I guess the good players can retire with money and the bad players has to keep working to make rent like the rest of us 😂. And those people who bring up his college days, he literally had the best college team of all time to carry him.
He still made more money in the NFL than you did
@@koolkitties8552 same for you so we are on the same boat, we all brokies 💀💀💀
@@koolkitties8552Dorsey made more money in the NFL than me too.
Looks like he's icing Diggs to me. I couldn't fathom why but if you're constantly ignoring you're no#1 option , that tells alot. Either it's Josh or the coaches orders. Why use Diggs as a decoy if he's constantly getting open and beating the coverage? Doesn't make sense. Perhaps Diggs should request a trade. If he's freezing Diggs out he should walk.
Umm Surtain II is one of the best corners in the league.
Stefan Diggs is like third in the league and receiving yards and touchdown so nobody's ignoring him he was just well covered in that game
It's too late to request a trade anyway
Wtf? Diggs is probably like top 5 in stats this year, and it's pretty clear to see that Josh Allen stares him down ALOT because he isn't going through his progressions or reading the defense. He is going to diggs alot
Josh was the problem
Chiefs bouta get SLAMED by the eagles
Yep sadly
Haha. No. Firing him was like buying new tires for your car cause the headlights don't work. The QB coach should be the one that got fired. Isn't the main issue here Allen's interceptions through the past 6 games??
No. If that was the case, Mahomes and Hurts QB coaches would need to get fired as well, because both have the exact same issue. Allen has had 8 Ints in his last 8 games. So does Hurts. Mahomes is at 7 int in his last 8 games. Josh Allen throws an interception and the mob comes for his head. Hurts or Mahomes does and "nothing to see here, everything is fine".
@RageDaug that's my point though. They haven't fired their OC. This was a stupid move on buffalo. If receivers keep dropping the ball. QB makes bad reads and players fumble the ball. How does that fall on the OC? I'm a broncos fan, but this was unfair to him.
@@shelbyeliecastellanos1273 I'm making the point that Josh is playing almost exactly as good as Mahomes and Hurts are playing. slightly lower QB rating, slightly higher QBR. So for everyone saying all the Bills problems are Allen, why is not one saying that about Mahomes and Hurts who are playing exactly on par as Allen is.
Regarding the fumbles, dropped passes, throwing into coverage, not blocking..etc, etc. etc. Did Dorsey directly do or not do all those things? No. But if everyone on his offense is playing below expectations, what's the common denominator? Dorsey's job is to get them ready to play. The Bills. offense hasn't come to a game ready to play since the Miami game in Week 4.
If one student fails, it's probably a bad student. If every student fails, it's probably a bad teacher. And while you can point to one bad stat Allen is having this year, he's also knocking it out of the park, tops in the league, in every other category. Allen is not mistake free, but overall, he's having a good season.
People that think anyone other than Dorsey is the issue, clearly don’t understand the game or watch every bills game. Over 50% of Josh turnovers aren’t on him.
Yeah but at least Half of the turnovers are on him
first tho
Forst
Sounds like he don’t trust digs to win
Dorsey is clearly an incompetent coach, but a competent play designer. Didnt adjust for 10 straight weeks. All of these plays are from shotgun. Josh is notoriously juiced and impatient, so use less shotgun. His stats under center are absurdley good, but he designed 4 plays a game for it. Secondly, Josh clearly prefers up tempo (kgun-ish). Get to the line, don't allow a defense time to mask coverage and then inflict your will. Instead you let joshs energy build and build back there trying to decipher a defense and hes even more impatient by the time the ball is snapped and theres no drop back to keep his mind busy. Hes flawed, but all players are and they need a coach that knows how to get the best out of them. Wish Dorsey the best. End of ted talk
agree with all your points....The part of your comment I hate the most is the way you had to spell "kgun". What have we become smh.
The best answer was for the head coach to step down.
This isn’t on Dorsey we lost two all pros on defense. You can’t replace Matt Milano tre white. Von is still getting back to speed this was on overreaction and a set back.
Breaks my heart to say this. But the Bills problem is josh Allen I watch him very carefully and I believe he and other players around the league need to be investigated. Bills my favorite team and it hurts to say it but these guys might be betting or have someone betting for them I keep seeing unusual stuff in games. 🤬
