I just got mine today! Regarding macOS compatibility, you can swap the Win and Alt keys around via Key Modifiers in the System Settings to mimic the placement of the Option and Command keys. If you also want to have the F-keys function like the ones on the Mac, you'll want to install Karabiner-Elements or similar. Still, I wish 8BitDo would reconsider porting over their Ultimate Software V2 over to macOS. 🤞
I really was blown away when I saw the NES version. But I decided on the Famicom version as soon as I saw it. I also have the Family Mini over the NES Classic. With the disk drive the Famicom also had a keyboard as an extra accessory. This makes the keyboard that much cooler.
They were big in Japan. You have to remember the Famicom came out when Home Computers were the big thing. Programmers were using Basic. Unfortunately the Home Computer idea was abandoned outside of Japan entirely. The Nintendo Entertainment System had to be different to save the video game industry. A zapper gun and Rob the Robot were the new gimmicks. Rob the Robot didn't last but turned a lot of heads until people realized he was more a gimmick than usable.
its perfect. i use the nes model since launch and i prerodered all the button / joystick accessories. my favorite thing about it is no RGB and no backlight believe it or not.
I got this but I don’t like it for gaming. There’s too much travel distance with these switches and they take too long to reset. Felt very sluggish to game.
@@iceblackcherry I went for the NES style, I'm more familiar with it and greys match my desk well. btw, amazing keyboard, feels pretty awesome to type on
Thanks so much! It means a lot. So, the keyboard dimensions are 14.83 x 6.67 x 1.84 inches and it weighs about 2.31 pounds. This is a 75% layout as well. Hope this helps!
I added some Glorious Lynx prelubed switches to all the main letters and left the rest of the keys clicky clacky. It’s a perfect balance that doesn’t keep my wife up all night but gives me that tactile when I want it. Also, I love that there’s no rgb. Both in cars and keyboards, RGB lighting to me tells me you’re a child

No way, I had no idea this existed. It must be very rare. Someone should do a comparison of the two keyboards on UA-cam. Thanks so much for sharing!
