We love to watch crafting videos on UA-cam. Each one is so inspiring and always gives us the bug to start a project. The problem is, after binge watching several in a row, there is no remembering what the favorites were, much less what supplies are needed to make them. What if you could be inspired, and then have everything you need for that project in just one click? Here at Highway Thirty, we not only want to inspire you, but we also want to equip you with everything you need from start to finish. We craft one project per video, so you don’t have to search to find the one tutorial you need. Just grab a kit and get to crafting!
====UPLOAD SCHEDULE====
We upload every Thursday at 4pm/EST. A new craft kit box/tutorial comes out the first week of every month.

Thanks for watching Mom teach us how to make her rope bowl baskets! If you are curious, Mom uses the Hyper Tough diamond braided cotton clothesline that you can find at Walmart. It has a poly core which helps with the stiffness. The size she uses is 3/16", and it comes in 100ft rolls. Thanks for stopping by!

How did you do the variegated blue one??
Hi Suzanne! She actually dyed those with RIT dye after they were made. We are planning on making a video soon showing you how it's done. Thanks for watching!
What is added in the handle to make it so stiff?? I loved watching her make the bowls ❤
Hi, thanks for watching! She doesn't add anything to the handles. I think it is a combination of the type of cording she uses (has a poly core) and the tight stitching. Let us know if you decide to try it!
Beautiful baskets. What is the thickness of the rope that you use?
Thank you! The size we use is 3/16", and it comes in 100ft rolls. Mom just bought some comparable rope in different diameter sizes that she found on the Home Depot website, and they are turning out great as well. The smaller size rope does make a stronger/stiffer basket.
Hello GA neighbor....what stitch length and width does Mom use when making her beautiful bowls?
Hi neighbor! She typically uses the widest setting for the zigzag stitch. The length of the stitch can be determined by testing on fabric. You can choose the length you like best. A shorter length takes more thread but will give a satin stitch look a longer stitch with give more of a zigzag look. It also varies by rope size. I hope this will help you! It's really trial an error for your machine. Thanks for watching!
What size rope do you use?

where do you buy the cotton rope en do they exist in other colors, i am from Belgium
Hi! We use the Hyper Tough diamond braided cotton clothesline that you can find at Walmart. It has a poly core which helps with the stiffness. The size she uses is 3/16", and it comes in 100ft rolls. You can also usually find it in hardware stores. You can probably find something similar to this online as well. As for colors, we just use RIT dye to either dye the rope before or dye the project after. Thanks for stopping by!
What is the size of rope that you use in MM?
Hi there! The size we use the most is 4.7mm.

Hi Annette! This video was really just to show Mom making them, the different styles she likes to create and what you can do with them, but we don't have a tutorial just yet. Thanks for your suggestion and watching!
A chamada em português mas a live em inglês sem legenda!! 😢
Hi! I am still trying to figure out how to create the subtitles in Portuguese. It is quite a process to figure out, but still looking into it. Thanks for stopping by!
