That is always my worst nightmare. I remember a story where someone thought their house was haunted because stuff kept disappearing in the kitchen. They set up a camera and found out a woman was actually living somewhere in their house and stealing food at night and peeing in their sink. Can you imagine how terrifying that would be to find out? Like you wake up the next to check the footage and realize you aren't alone.

also sims: can't feed baby bc baby is near a perfectly accesible corner
*can't feed baby because someone is looking at it*
my sim: refuses to bathe her child. she just goes and takes a bath herself.
They cant feed due to the crib placement area making the baby be seen as in the wall inside the code

I wondered that. A single tile desk and the fridge should have fit under a lofted bed, right?
Probably not, because the sim needs to reach the ladder, whereas with a normal bed, they only need to reach the center square of the three
It would probably work the same cus there aren’t a lot of items you can put under a bunk bed with it actually being functional
No, the Sim needs to be able to reach the third tile to climb the ladder.

Stanley amazes me. He’s able to sleep in a bed with a shelf right above his pillow and a whole desk over his feet while some other sims aren’t even able to round a bed if a slightly too deep dresser is in front of it.
The digital sketch pad on the dresser could have been a good skill building and money making item.
Kayla wins “Most Patient Simmer” award for sure after suffering through all of this trial and error testing for the tiniest functional house ever 🙌

What a coincidence. I was making a tiny house (for a Japanese inspired apt). with just snowy escape but I keep having to expand the house to accommodate everything needed. I don't know how I could ever do this.

I always think it's easier to do these things with medium or tall wall heights, cause you can fit more on the walls

You should add to your descriptions the cheat codes you use when building in the Sims. It would help us beginners a great deal!
She's using bb.moveobjects and 'alt placing' - holding down the alt key while grabbing the items so you can move them independently from the grid :) But I agree, that would be nice!
She actually did say a few of them in another video! bb.showhiddenobjects and bb.showliveeditobjects are two that she mentioned. I also wanted to know, so I screenshoted so I could remember😊 Hope it helps!

My sims:
*Puts toddler in and out of the highchair*
*Takes 30 minutes to do something I told them to do while they're doing NOTHING*
It absolutely kills me that there’s still a cute color scheme
The toilet disappearing like that is a pretty game-breaking glitch. Items will just disappear in certain spots and I've found that the only way to stop it is to bulldoze the lot and place it down again. It happens to me.. a lot

it wouldnt work because in order to get to the ladder there needs to be a third tile with absolutely nothing in it and it cant be clipping

Look. I'm not sure how far it goes but I think, every item that you regularly use, can and will work sized down to the MINIMUM!! Like the bed, the toilet (and as you could see also the fridge and microwave). It's just that the visuals would be...a bit off.
BUT, theoretically, you could make a 1x1 house with all the necessary objects sized down to minimum, I haven't done it yet, so i don't know if it would work, but it would certainly be a fun challenge.
I believe someone else tried this but had to remove the walls for the sim to be able to use the bed lol, something about the animation being too big if i remember correctly (could absolutely be fixed by now as it was quite some time ago tho!)
I have some friends living in Japan and this is honestly what their flats look like in the pictures OTL

There is a digtial sketchpad for art skill building! Faster than an easel but sells for the same price I'm pretty sure! :D
One thing I want to do in The sims is to make a house and have every room being based on She-ra characters. I’m already imagining an Entrapta based room with a bunch of robots everywhere.
Though it would be a better idea to make an entire house based Entrapta

I dont know how Kayla do it, my sims sometimes cant use the bed if a put a nighstand in each side. My sims cant cook because of shelves in the walls.

You can make all this crazy stuff work, but I put a desk and computer under a bunkbed and it suddenly doesn't work, and the chair with everyone on the desk keeps disappearing xD and my sim refuses to get in the top bunk with a desk or shelf underneath.
That aside, this is incredible! I've never been good at building, but tour videos inspire me to try these challenges and renovate starter houses lol
