  • Pets at Home Rabbits, Gerbils, Fish, Live Animals PEts at home, the truth about pets at home.
According to the video, rabbits are delicate creatures and easily stressed by noisy environments and unfamiliar people, which is exactly what they encounter in pet stores. This stress can cause them to stop eating properly, which can lead to health problems.
Another factor is that rabbits are often bred in commercial breeding facilities where their welfare is not prioritised. These rabbits are then transported to pet stores, which is another stressful experience for them.
The video concludes by calling for more education about the welfare needs of rabbits. It also suggests that rabbits should not be sold in pet stores.

Hey guy since you seem to know bunnies, So i noticed a few weeks ago a baby bunny running around my back yard, He's not a baby baby but is pretty close. He is alone, What's the chances he was abandoned or got lost & is now on its own? I've never seen another bunny or rabbit just that one, & he is so small his ears are still tiny & round. I'm just curious if its something i should let be or perhaps try to help take care of the little guy. I live in NY state in the middle of a town no woods or anything around me, but lots of cats & dogs & other predatory animals running around. Including some big birds. He is definitely a wild bunny though so I've let him be wild, i just don't if i should relocate him to a more rabbit like environment rather than living under a shack & fence.

Pet care advice at Pets At Home is incorrect.
I don't know a lot about Rabbits, but I have/had 2 rescue hamsters that came from Pets at Home.
The Dwarf Hamsters are often sold in pairs/groups but all hamsters are social animals and most of the time end up fighting and killing eachother. Both my current and previous Robo hamsters were kept in shoeboxed size enclosures and were fighting.
In addition to that; their cages are WAY too small, how is a burrowing animal supposed to build a burrow in a 3cm tray?, they sell pine wood bedding which is toxic to most small animals, fluffy bedding has been outright stated as dangerous, hamster balls have been labeled dangerous by RSPCA...I could go on.
The law needs to be improved to include small animal welfare.
