Being a fresh water fly fisherman most of my life changed about 20 years ago when I discovered salt water . Now I can’t wait to go to the ocean and catch something. The fish are just so powerful they make your arm’s tremble and shake like no other fish. Thanks for sharing

Back in July I got to catch mahi on fly out in the middle of nowhere..that was such a different experience.
Fly rods are made for casting flies not for fighting fish ... You have no lever and have to hold above cork... And reel with tiny knob... Next time try with tenkara 😂

@@HugeFlyFisherman copy…don’t see too many of those in 11. I use a CC in the 9 for winter chinook on the south Oregon coastal rivers. And even that 9 is like a broomstick. Nice for windy days. Appreciate the response

Ben, after one or two fish it becomes let's abuse the angler. Fly fishing like that is no fun. Been there and done that. A lightweight fly rod catching smaller fish is way more fun, trust me. I will say that all fly anglers should experience catching fish like that at least one time in their life. You didn't even have time for a brew.
