I have just gotten a huge amount of inspiration! My stepdaughter is graduating high school in a couple weeks and have been trying to decide what type of dessert to serve. Everyone loves s’mores, especially with summer right around the corner! Thank you Liz for sharing all your wonderful ideas, tips and recipes
I sent the picture to my daughter and she’s begging me to make it. I’m so making this. Your easy buttercream recipe is THE BEST buttercream I’ve ever tasted, everybody begs me for the recipe, I bet this will be amazing too!
Miam miam ! Thank you for sharing all your recipes with us. Please do a short video on how to adjust recipes for different cake pans and how to use the recipe calculator on yoyr blog . Thank you
Made this cake last week. But i used half graham crackers and half biscoff. And I acidentally over broiled the marshmallow a tad bit.. but it still came out tasting good (my kids said it actually tastes like the marshmallow that you would roast on fire). My chocolate drip wasn't as drippy though. Lol. Maybe i needed to add a bit more heavy cream next time. But over all my family loved it. Cant wait to make ot again.
Wow this video came in the perfect time. I was literally eating a cake with s’mores filling today and it was TERRIBLE and I was wondering if there was a good recipe out there and now there is!
Hi, this cake looks amazing! Is there a written/typed step by step recipe for this. I know it shows on video but I like to see it in front of me while I bake
Great tutorial. I love smores ever since I was a Girl Scout. I must admit I love the tutorials where you talk because you're funny as hell. Thank you for sharing and keep on caking 💜
Does anyone know if you assembled, frosted and froze this cake in advance, if the crumbled graham crackers in the filling, after defrosting the cake, would be crisp when serving or would they be soggy? This may be a really stupid question.
Lovely cake! I really want to recreate this but I was curious as I noticed you used all purpose flour in this recipe yet you use the reverse creaming method. Is this going to effect the texture of the cake and why not use cake flour?
I just found your page when I was at work last night I watched so many of your episodes already and I am completely inspired again! Thank you so much for your page! I’d love to make this for my daughters birthday instead of doing the drip and graham crackers as decoration would I be able to cover in fondant without losing a whole bunch of chocolate flavor?
I made this cake and it was delicious! But it did sink in the middle. I will try it again with the butter not as soft, per your comment to another person below. If I make it as cupcakes, how long and at what temperature would you recommend I bake this?
@@SugarGeekShow I love the polished look and instructional feel. However, it felt a little impersonal. A great tool for reference, but not great for casual viewing. I'll admit that I clicked to the next video.
I just made this cake, and sadly…it completely sunk in the middle. I weighed each ingredient, and checked the weight twice…followed the instructions perfectly. Not sure what went wrong, after the fact I read the same thing happened to another commenter. I won’t try it again, tastes great, but I can’t use it for friends birthday cake. Really disappointing. Last week I made Sugar Geeks pistachio raspberry cake… it was fantastic.
I made this cake TWICE and followed instructions exactly. First cake sank in the middle. I thought maybe my oven was too hot so I remade it and turned oven down, and it did the same thing. I cannot recommend this recipe.
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that. Maybe I can help to try and determine the problem. I just need to know a bit more information. Did you measure all of your ingredients with a scale and warm the eggs, milk and butter? And did you use a stand mixer or a hand mixer for mixing?
@@jeankennell4286 hmm that’s tough. We just did some more testing and my guess is that your butter was too warm and soft. The butter I used in the video was slightly too melted to work every time. The butter should be firm enough that it’ll hold its shape if you press a finger into the top. So sorry about the confusion

Thank you so much for your time and generosity.
I like the videos with audio, your personality adds something to the content
SO AMAZING😲🥰!
This cake looks so moist and delicious. You make things look so easy.
I'll definitely have to make this.

Right in time for summer! Hope you like this recipe 🥰
I wanted to know did yours come out dry. Wanted to know before I try because I love super soft cake
@@morganspivey7394 nope not dry at all! Make sure to eat it at room temperature, cold cake can taste dry sometimes
Should I be using less sugar in the buttercream recipe? Will adding the fluff make it extra sweet?

Yeah, that's what I wanted, too.
Great tutorial. I love smores ever since I was a Girl Scout. I must admit I love the tutorials where you talk because you're funny as hell. Thank you for sharing and keep on caking 💜
Thanks for letting me know! We are just trying out something different for this video, but we’ll definitely be doing more with talking :)

Thanks for sharing!! My cakes came out mounded on top while yours look flat...any tips?
Look very delicious 🤤 😋
Thank you!
U are welcome

What can i use in place of eggs
This looks so good! Can you toast whole marshmallows for the buttercream instead of fluff?
Where did u get that pink cookie sheet
Hi can use this recipe to make cupcakes ?
Yes definitely!
Do you bake in a fan forced oven or conventional oven?
For your easy buttercream recipe will it hold up
To doing a chocolate drip along the edge of the cake ?
Absolutely!

Can the buttercream be made in advance? & is it okay to add some extra oil to make this cake even more moist than it already is? :)
Hi can I use biscoff cookie instead of graham Cracker ?
Can the cake be chocolate flavored
Yummy!
Yummy! What brand cake pans do you use?
I like magic line pans or fat daddios!
@@SugarGeekShow Thanks! What size pans do you use mostly in your recipes? 8x3 or 9x3 inch?
@@sweetypie753123 two 8”x2” or three 6”x2”
Yum 🤤

I've made it twice! This time it sunk it the middle--I do think it is the soft butter thing. Perhaps this can be added to the recipe notes?
I really appreciate having the instructions on screen. Where is the voiceover?
Thanks for the feedback! We were testing out a video without talking, but we’ll definitely be doing more with voice overs as well. ❤️

I followed everything exactly down to the last detail…all my cakes sank while in the oven :( what happened?
Love the cake and your channel. i miss you talking throughout and telling us about your experience 😫😫
Yummy you never cease to amaze me Liz with your talent.👏🥰

I can tell that this wasn't Liz decorating the cake lol but I still love how the cake turned out!
Wow! New sub here! I recently made Molten Lava Cakes on my page too and *your chocolate dish looks amazing!* Hope to stay connected! 😀
