Console commands will allow you to turn off fog and clouds. This helps greatly to reduce lag and crashes. At least for me. No fog makes the water clear and more enjoyable too.
@@darkularity You're welcome. r.volumetricfog 0 r.volumetriccloud 0 You have to disable each effect every time you load the game, but it's been a game changer for me. To be clear... Those are two different commands. There are others but those helped with lag and visibility. I too could not see anything in or near the volcano and the game is not playable like that. Not too mention the fog in the swamp that rolled in one day. Like are you kidding me wildcard? It was stupid thick fog and there was nothing I could do. I'm a newbie and didn't have a clue what I was doing or where I was. The foliage is already thick enough in the swamp. Good luck.
