    This rice cooker is perfect! I use it only for me ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxviiltW7NlHbp_VL_bLbIkbLAvILVhnia and sometimes me and my friend so the small size is really great for counter space since we never need to make all that much. I have been using it now for about 2 months and it still works perfectly. I use it for both rice and vegetables (better for harder vegetables like green beans and carrots, it made my broccoli way too smoosh-y for my taste). It keeps your rice on keep warm automatically which I really like, and I’ve used a few of the settings, flash rice, white rice, brown rice, and steam, and they all work super well for me, although I don’t like smooshy rice so I’ll usually use flash rice. It’s super easy to clean either in dishwasher or hand wash, and it’s pretty easy to get rice out of the grooves by where the container comes out. I assume this one will last me a long time but if I ever need another I will definitely be getting this one again!

    Hello Christina. Thank you for putting this out there.. I will try this tonight on my rice cooker. Honestly, I dont care what isle is called. Some people have nothing better to write on review. Dont mind them. If I may contribute. I grew up in the Philippines where lots of rice is cooked and processed. If I were you, I would always rinse the rice. Why? Rats and critters that roam the processing plant and fields. They get into the rice.. no kidding. Just my .02 cents...

      arielban1 yes I agree with finding the rice before hand. But in this case the rice must be completely dry when doing this recipe if you want each piece of rice to be separated. The flour that comes on the rice helps with the separation when frying. But I totally agree with you. In any other rice recipe if rinse it first. Thank you for commenting💛

      No I just go through it to make sure that it's clean and remove anything that looks strange. For this recipe I you need the flour in the rice and the oil kills anything in the rice once fried.

      Washing it does get rid of the starch which makes it less sticky. But washing it with water for the sake of safety wont do anything. Water will not kill bacteria when the rice cooks it kills of the bacteria regardless

    • @Shads-cs4tn
      @Shads-cs4tn 4 роки тому +6

      mike jordan cryface right, however the dust and particles that touches the rice not to mention the machines and hands used to package it either way it still requires us to wash before using. I never said to soak the rice. We Persian people soak our rice to rid the starch prior to cooking for a healthier preparation of a meal.

      @@cherre2008 I'm really happy with it, we must have used it a dozen times, never yet done plain rice in it. The bare minimum it's a couple of chicken stock cubes for the flavour. Yes there is a small amount of burnt bits at the bottom.but the rest is perfect. Even the burnt bits aren't like you'd get in a normal pan, they are more soft and my daughter loves them (plus they have all the flavour). Tried a paella which was great. I used cooked chicken, chorizo, frozen prawns, frozen Peas and other bits and it came out amazing. Simple to use, turns off when done but keeps everything warm. Very easy to clean

    I tried the ingredients and steps you showed, it's indeed the MOST EASIEST among my search. Thank you for sharing. I'd like to confirm few things to make it as easy as it should be. First, you mentioned about 3 cups of rice - I assume that you're referring the CUP comes with Rice Cooker. Second, I heard you said flash rice but my cooker only has Quick Rice option - I thought we had the same cooker. Third, 1 quarter cup of oil seems a lot. I wasn't able to brown the rice to the whiteness shown. Does it really matter? The last is which function of cooking to select for cooking - White Rice? Thanks again.

      This is an old fashioned tradition he's talking about from when our great grandmother lived in a world where this was a necessity. We don't live in that world any more. Well most of us don't. Spanish rice is not washed. Taking off the starch changes the rice and makes it sticky. Like most Asian rice is. If you don't wash it you get the opposite.

      Thank you very much for letting us know. Good to know, I did not know Sazon had MSG. I suspected food coloring was added to it to give it that bright color but did not know about the Sazon.

    • @ronniesalami1095
      @ronniesalami1095 4 роки тому +3

      @@cherre2008 It's cool to use a whole packet if you like the result, but my mom thought it added too much chemical taste to use a single whole packet ...even in beans.
      She usually added just half a packet. (Heck...saves money too.)
      Sofrito was always the main flavoring for both. Sazon was just an often used optional tweak.
      Some people are allergic to MSG, so that is good to keep in mind I think. Also I think people on antidepressant medication are sensitive to MSG too.
      I've made great arroz con gandules with no Sazon at all.
      Finally, you can make your own Sazon!
      1.5 tsp cumin
      1.5 tsp dried oregano
      1.5 tsp ground coriander
      1.5 tsp onion powder
      1.5 tsp garlic powder
      1.5 tsp dried cilantro
      1 Tblspn achiotte powder
      (Optional: 1 tsp of salt)

    Thanks for sharing this video. I've been trying and trying to make a good spanish rice and I keep getting it "almost there". Quite frustrating! I'm going to try your recipe next! I've been trying it in the instant pot, but the rice has been coming out mushy. I did rinse the rice once (mushy...but now I know you should not rinse the rice thanks to you!). Once I tried without rinsing the rice and still mushy. I think maybe I cooked it too long? Do you have instructions on how to do this in the instant pot or do you think it's worth getting a rice cooker to do this in? I have a very small simple one, but thinking about getting one like you have. I don't have one that I can saute the rice in...

    • @Christina.Marie.Reviews
      @Christina.Marie.Reviews  4 роки тому +1

      King Nica I know a lot of people are upset that I did not rinse the rice but because I fried it it killed anything in the rice. Plus I looked through the rice to make sure there’s nothing in it. It would alter the recipe because the rice would be more sticky together once cooked. Since the rice comes with a flour already coded onto the rice grain it helps separate the grains individually once cooked.

    Hello Christina, just found your station. I hope you are still answering questions because i have a huge one and it may sound dumb but i have to ask. I just bought a Amora Rice Cooker and i also bought the cook book for the recipes the question i have the book does not answer it. When making meals that call for a protein like chicken, beef or fish, do you cook the rice and the protein together, or each separate this may sound trivial to you and all the expert cooks one here. But i am just starting to ditch fast food and cutting down on processed food so this is all new to me. Can you or any of your viewers answer this question for me, help!!! Thank you.

      mike askme if it's raw chicken you'll need to chop it up into small small pieces. Fish will fall apart in the rice once it Cooks with the rice and beef must be very very small pieces as well. If you cook the rice and proteins together you'll need to do this.

    Do not attempt this in an old school Asian market rice cooker that uses magnets to determine when the water is gone. Lol going to be scrubbing the pot for 10 minutes to clean that burnt mess up. Also, probably best to follow instructions and not wash the rice as it became very sticky. In the end it wasn't "bad" but it certainly wasn't Spanish rice... I'd call it an Italian rice. Very tomato forward.

    It is better to rinse the rice. Rice produced outside of the US has talc powder on it and you can't mine talc without mining asbestos, their veins run together.

      yeah... I laughed and thought about saying something but... MEH... that's just how they talk in some places. hehehehe I know if I talk like that around hispanic or latin people that know me they will definitely correct me respectfully knowing that I have nothing against anyone. Some people might fight you though... be careful folks.
