Love the whiteboard spatula. Really interesting video. I have thought about creating a channel/page for a long time, and I appreciate the detail. Hope your New Year is starting well!Your hair looks great by the way!
At 12:27, this is why I know you're actually paying attention to the economy and not repeating nonsense from certain news and social media organizations.
I am graduating college this year and planning to take my business full time, your transparency is incredibly appreciate and I am using it as a great reference of how other self employed creators structure their finances. Thank you!!
Think this is my 2nd year of being subscribed to you? Anyway happy for the growth you've had in that time and love the transparency! Assuming you will but plz keep us updated on your real estate venture if/when you do it!
Appreciate the well-detailed content of this video, very easy to absorb. The highlight for me though is Taylor using a spatula to move the hair out of her face. 😀Jokes aside, love this educational video, Taylor. Missing your NYC strolling video!
I just started my channel this week (woohoo!) and I’ve binged so many of your videos to help me build a runway. You have such a great way of adding actionable value!
Hi Taylor, longtime viewer, long time subscriber!!! Yes. you are absolutely correct about the "write-off" trap!! Caught myself a few years ago doing this!! I had an accountant review and "approve" the "write-offs" now I see how much sense it makes to budget for write offs!! Thank you for the information!! 🐢
Congrats on 1 Year!! I always love the financial transparency. Also love referring to irregular income as "Lumpy, Chunky income". Definitely stealing that for my personal finance clients. 😋
Happy new year. I'm upset about you replacing the turtle with the horse but the pun was funny. Owning property anywhere is a great investment and hopefully for you're thinking on a larger scale than most
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and expertise, Taylor! I like how you include asking questions (even if it's you asking yourself a question 😄 It's an important part of learning!) Happy New Year!
Given tech layoffs recently not sure longevity is there for traditional jobs either. I think multiple sources of income is the way of the future for younger generations
Great video! I love these financial videos of yours! I think if you keep making life in New York City videos, some travel videos, and some financial videos like this, then you should be set for the next few years! I really enjoyed watching this! 🐢 🐢 🐢
Taylor, you are smarter than your years.......Its unreal! Great Job! I bet your parents are proud of you! You're the best! I have missed you! Great to have you back!
Lol, your investment strategy including what money market fund you park your money in is similar to mine. Guess I'm doing it right =). Congratz on 1 yr!
Great video. I actually made so much money last year on my channel that I have hired an accountant and a lawyer to create a company that’s going to pay me a w2. Then I can have that company have a 401k as well. Add to it the company can be an “education” company and further optimize taxes. But this was such a great video so thank you.
Hearing you talk about investing money and saving for future it always motivates me to do the same also makes me curious about learning more about how it all works.🐢
I started UA-cam not so while ago, a few days ago, I also found out that my QE position was terminated, so I'm getting laid off. Long story short, -thank you for the video, it gives reassurance that UA-cam can actually be a source of financial support!
To double in what Bell said: never be your own lawyer, and if you can and you have a business or business deals, never be your own accountant. In both cases be an advocate for yourself, study, read doublecheck but don't do it yourself.
Thank you so much for checking! They are safe. They’re in an evacuation warning zone, but so far things are looking ok. I know many people who lost their homes today though, it’s devastating :( thank you again for asking I rly appreciate it!!
Great video. Wanted to point out that money market funds (MMF) are often more tax efficient than a high yield savings account (HYSA) because some MMFs invest in treasuries or municipal bonds, which are often exempt from state, local, or federal taxes, whereas a HYSA is just interest income without any tax exemptions. While comparing the interest rate/yield across both is important, it is also good to look at the tax efficiency and fees
This is such an amazing informative video. Great job Taylor! I still say you should be doing youtube and your old job at least til your 33...get ahead as much as you can!
Thanks for including the Premium members! :). Keep up the great work! Do you get any money if someone skims through the video or only watches part of it? Oh, last, I think it is really cool we have money in the same companies, LOL... I use Ally and have for a long time....
The thing that bugs me about Gelato and similar services is I shouldn’t have to be charged for the item. It’s weird. I like the idea of print on demand but usually what happens is either places like Society 6 pay such a stupid low payout to the creator it’s not worth it. Gelato, Printful, etc. make you plug in a credit card then charge the card per item sold. In an ideal scenario, the service only takes payment from the buyer & cuts the creator a check for 60-50% of sale. No funny business. Creator doesn’t have to use a credit card. Just collect the $$. No POD service does this. Until then, fuck it.

As someone who went full time as a creator 4 months ago, I’m so interested to see the business end of other UA-camrs. Keep it up!
Let's gooo congrats! And yay, more to come 😎
I’ve never seen this topic presented so clearly. You’ve made me realize that success comes from adapting, not from sticking to the same approach.
The highest compliment I could receive!! Thank you 🥹

Great work! The seasonality of income is something my business definitely has to plan for, and taxes... I need more write-offs.
Thank you!! hahahaha just beware of the write off trap! 🙈
Let’s go, thank you for helping me grow!
Woohoo!! Thanks for being here! ☺️

Happy new year Miss Taylor, I enjoy a lot learning about how to be successful on UA-cam with the several topics you teach. Way to go!
Thank you for taking the obscurity away from finances in the creator space. I've had all these questions before and now I have answers. Yay!
