No words can describe the beauty of that voice & how it affected millions of fans. This performance also speaks to the beauty of his soul & the man himself! His crooked little smile may have been one of his trademarks., but it was genuine. He shared it with us during this amazing song at a time when some folks would have written him off.He loved sharing his gift with his fans right up until the very end when he showed the world that no matter what ,he never lost his crown! No performer has ever been able to surpass the talent & spirit of Elvis Presley!!
A incredible handsome man with a voice words cant explain.Yet I never noticed a hint of conceit or arrogance or narcissism.I saw him around 1972 in Tulsa. He was in great shape, brutally handsome and a great concert.
Elvis died so young,& was pushed so hard by Colernal Tom Parker. Elvis the best performer ever. He sung at night, after spent time with friends, family,& co workers at night,& then slept all day. He couldn’t go out in public without being mobbed by fans. They loved him so much. Elvis was a prisoner in his own house because of his popularity. He loved his family, bought gifts for strangers,& got joy from doing it. Parker took 50 percent of money that Elvis made. What a shame. 46 years he’s been gone. I was in a barbers chair when I heard Elvis had died. Gone too soon. R.I.P.Elvis you are still loved by so many.
When I see this video, it almost makes me cry. Such a God given talent, once in a generation talent, and to see the inward destruction. Sometimes I wish I could get a time machine, go back in time, and whisk him away to a deserted island with nothing but fresh vegetables and healthy fruits. To get all the drugs out of his system, to ground him so he can return back to what it was. I pray that he is not resting in peace, but rather joyful in heaven, singing his heart out to the King of the universe as he lives and explores the boundless edges of the universe that our heavenly Father created.
Never was there a more genuine, honest, kind, loving more professional performer and that smile at 2:58 says it all, he was in the moment. I sometimes hope the conspiracy theorists are right and that he got away and found peace. Away from all those he’d begun to realise weren’t his friends but just money grabbing hangers on. I truly hope you found peace Elvis, wherever you are, the legend of Elvis Presley lives on and it will always be that way. ❤️💐
I have a whole lot of "Rock'n Elvis songs (550)...that are about to be up-loaded to my new "UA-cam" and "Twitch" channels that are going to blow the top off of King Elvis' Popularity charts.......Elvis will always be "KING" of Rock & Roll .....!!!BUT!!!!.....I am: "ELI" ..... "KING" of Rock & Roll Harmonica. There is only one person in the world that has "MUSIC" in his heart and soul like Elvis .....and that is the very reason I am a very special harmonica player that will never be matched, nor copied......Sorry I waited until I was 80 to let the world know about my style of playing a harmonica.....I do have an Elvis song on my "UA-cam" channel that is no ery good...but...I never head this song in my whole life. I listened to this song and recorded it on my second playing of this song ever .....hope you enjoy and subscribe..."hit the bell".....and stay tuned to my channel until you have heard me play every one of Elvis' 550 songs....And don't be afraid to give me a thumbs down if you don't like my style or you think I messed up Elvis' song. "Enjoy!!!!"
Jon burrows You can really see the damage from the opiates, amphetamines, and other narcotics here in this video. That and a horrible diet and no exercise. But his God given talent poured through anyway. I wish he lived longer because he had such a short career and still had much to accomplish.
i think the worstthing that happened to elvis was meeting his manager , he stopped elvis coming over here to england, because or so i read he was illegally in usa or something like that, so coz he couldnt come here he stopped elvis coming
The first time I saw this video was in the movie ELVIS. I was in awe at his performance. It really brought tears to my eyes. He was the KING of Rock & Roll Undeniably so. RIP Elvis, you were taken way too soon. 😥

also the world lost a giant humanaterian.you will never the depth of his humaniaren contrubutions all over the world.god brought him home because he had accomplished musically all that he good do and all the humanitarian good he could on this earth and he had earned his home in heaven.
Never ever be forgotten. He was 42 when he died and next year will be his 42nd year since ‘he left the building’. He left a mark no other singer and performer could come close to. Forever in our hearts💕

@WE WUZ VIKANGS!!! n shiet. The King's music will always be alive. It is four generations of our family. As our kids, Grandkids & Great grand kids are growing up,there has been Elvis in our lives. I heard him from the very beginning of his fame getting started,. I saw him on a fuzzy screen blk & white screen on the Ed Sullivan show. His music & movies will always be legendary & will carry on to more generations. God bless him & all his fans old & new.
What an awesome talented Singer he was. I missed so much since I was born in 1970. Elvis was great. His performance brings electricity. You can feel it.
I saw a tv special about Elvis and his gospel background some years back and it was told that at one of Elvis's concerts someone held up a sign that said Elvis is the King. He responded by saying there is only one King and He is Jesus Christ. He never forgot his roots.
Elvis wasn't made for the secular music industry. He was made for singing Gods music. He received more awards for his gospel music than rock n roll. The evil secular music world just destroyed him.
I was never a fan of Elvis but there's no denying that voice. I hate it that there wasn't one person to care enough about him, as a person, to help him. Rest Mr Presley. Your voice is immortal.
He was very severely depressed The death of his mother affected him for the rest of his life Losing Priscilla only deepened the wound He took the drugs as a way of coping He was too miserable to want to live any longer
His last performance was in Indianapolis Indiana June 26. I was there. I always loved Elvis since I was a small child & still do, and will until the day I die...
Barbara, I worked with a journalist who saw Elvis perform in Hawaii in the 70's. At work she wore an Elvis T-shirt everyday.Someone asked her why and she replied " I saw Elvis in concert and it changed my life. At the end of the show I bought 14 Elvis T-shirts so to remind me of that experience ". So my question Barbara is, is that what happened at an Elvis concert ? Was it so powerful that it affects you forever ?

Even when bloated and puffy, that gorgeous smile was still there.I just watch the anniversary of his passing and saw people still very emotional and crying after all these years..I haven't seen such a phenomena ever..He was and still is a wonder..but without pain,no more sorrow,no more tears but blissfully happy if he has reached out to Jesus in his last moments which I think he did, then he really is safe in Jesus arms. There is no way that he'll want to come back to this life of nothingness.. Omg no telling of what he was actually feeling when he was singing, the pain he had gone through. What a great loss, so giving of man, I've heard that he was that type of a person, he knew and remember how it was to be poor and he did give to people, God bless him and may Elvis RIP!❤🌹🙏
This performance has been widely available on VHS and DVD for maybe 30 years. It is from the filming for "Elvis In Concert" although not originally shown in that 1977 TV broadcast. From the last tour in June 1977, yes, but NOT the last concert.
Sad how many were living off Elvis. Sad he was, not wanting to disappoint them. Sad the blind eyes, turned as what he did to himself. Evil is what they did even after Elvis Presley died. Squeezing every single penny there is, to still have Elvis support them. The "Big Payday" will come to each one, by the one true KING !
It’s so sad that Elvis never got all the awards he deserved for how he could sing any kind of music. He could sing them all pop, country, r&b, rock, gospel. What other singer can do that but yet gets all kinds of awards. It’s sad the way he was treated and not appreciated. If he had of been maybe it would have motivated him to take better care of himself and if that manager of his was out of his life way b4 he passed so he could have fulfilled his dreams. RIP Elvis u will never be forgotten and always loved by billions of ppl.
He was the king of music. God gave him a voice. A gift everyone don't get. But the drugs took his Health. Not God. Elvis got anything he wanted. If one doctor didn't give him what he wanted. He find others who would. He payed them A lot of money. That was his down fall doctors . I hope Elvis went to heaven with his mom n DAD. He was a good heart it man with a drug problem. He had a lot of medical problems. God bless him his mom his twin Jess who died at birth. HIS DAD n grandmother. There will never be a Elvis Presley again. God bless you Elvis.

A incredible handsome man with a voice words cant explain.Yet I never noticed a hint of conceit or arrogance or narcissism.I saw him around 1972 in Tulsa. He was in great shape, brutally handsome and a great concert.
Video is so accurate. Sent chills down my body. And I ain't really a Elvis fan. But the way he sang it. Wow !!! 😭🇺🇸
My daughter (who is 6) adores his music…. Let the legend live on!!!
Was beautiful, but sad at the same time.😞

Never was there a more genuine, honest, kind, loving more professional performer and that smile at 2:58 says it all, he was in the moment. I sometimes hope the conspiracy theorists are right and that he got away and found peace. Away from all those he’d begun
to realise weren’t his friends but just money grabbing hangers on. I truly hope you found peace Elvis, wherever you are, the legend of Elvis Presley lives on and it will always be that way. ❤️💐

This poor man just needed rest...but the colonel had other ideas.
Well said J ,greetings from Liverpool Uk.

The death of his mother affected him for the rest of his life

What other singer can do that but yet gets all kinds of awards. It’s sad the way he was treated and not appreciated.
