Make sure to do the crankshaft pulley. Mine went on 90k, very common issue
Hey bud how did u bed the new brakes and pads what bedding procedure did u follow
Recently replaced my disks and pads on my 118d, got brembo discs bad bosch pads, bosch don't supply a new brake wear sensor with them so I used the old one, found out its now a false economy not to change the wear sensor with new pads as it popped up on the dash its worn through, well ista, I'm thinking its the wire has broke internally due to moving all the time when you steer.
Did the gearbox mount make any difference

Yeah the clicking is sorted! It was the pads in the calipers 🙏

@@BrettBarnesYT it’s nice to see the struggles though. Stripped bolts, sheared heads and seized nuts are part and parcel of working on cars from this era. An easy job always turns into a bit of a mission. E85 z4 owner here, I know your pain 😂

I sold my A5 3.0 2007 for 5500 3 years ago, was at 130k miles :) Sold because clutch was original and could do with changing, dpf was giving me issues, swirl flaps I replaced, starting seemed to hesitate after sat for 1-2 days but then run as normal once started and used. Had it for 10 years.
Just installed mtec disc on my S3 8P but didn't go with their pads as i heard they're like butter lol.
If I’m honest the brakes have been great on the A5 but then again I’ve not pushed it super hard at all.
Boiling water trick? Boot goes on inside out and u fold it back? So big end is outboard? Hmm.

Ive got mtec disc and pads on my polo, good for the money but they rust very badly. Looked great for a month 😂
They’ll only rust if you opt to not have the coating added. I think the coating is about £20 so definitely worth it
