College students NOT proud to be American

- With the Fourth of July right around the corner, Campus Reform reporter Ophelie Jacobson went to Georgetown University to see if students feel proud to be American.
The majority of students told Jacobson they were not proud to be American...some even said they were “embarrassed.”
“No,” one student said. “I think a lot of things about this country are really embarrassing: racist history, colonization, even currently, just what’s going on with politics and the cops.”
“I think that’s a complicated question for me,” another student said. “I think most of the time, no...at least over the past four years, it’s been tricky to love to be an American.”
Jacobson then asked students if they think the United States of America is the greatest country in this world.
One student said, “to be a white person, it’s pretty good to live here. But overall, I don’t think it’s the greatest country in the world.”
“America is not really known for being the most hospitable place,” another student said.
But when asked if they could name a better country, no one could.

Georgetown is one of the richest areas in the US. The coffee is more than $5 a cup there and food is expensive asf. I grew up in DC and we know Georgetown is the posh area where peeps would wait in line for $40 a dozen cupcakes. It goes to show you their oppression while I had to work multiple jobs to go to college - living on Ramen noodles. This video makes me laugh as it shows they live in their own bubble.

My country Samoa literally did nothing after my ancestors settled on this small pacific island but get conquered by our fellow Tongan neighbor and later get colonized by Europeans. I am a non-white retired U.S. military man (22 yrs) and I AM PROUD to be an AMERICAN. I am proud of the fact that because of my small contribution kids (yes kids) like these can speak freely without persecution. Someday these young adults will grow up and maybe have a change of heart.
I appreciate the honesty of these students when asked if their college experience shaped their opinion. Thanks Campus Reform for helping expose the liberal leftist agenda in propagating hatred and division through our "higher education." My wife is a teacher and we strongly support formal education, but they need to leave out the anti-American propaganda.

I was able to do all of this BECAUSE I was in America. I highly doubt that, had I been born an orphan in Africa, this would have been possible. Welp, I can name a country or two that are great countries, (Singapore, Austria) because I have visited them multiple times. Are they 'better' than the USA? Maybe, it depends on the criteria. But GenZ seems to think they know it all, so I'm not at all surprised by these answers.
I'm a bit older now, and a supposed "minority", but if you would have caught me at Uni a few years ago, I would have said "hell yeah, I'm proud to be an American." I'm an engineer by the way, I didn't take as many of those liberal arts classes, and I'll have my student debt paid within 3 years.
