Another great episode!
Thank you buddy!!!!
you tube did not notify me when you posted this video, but i found it anyway, nice to see you posting again, will you ever finish the boat ?great tutorial thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you! and the boat is on an indefinite hold for now. House projects are what make the most sense for me right now.
I am thinking of getting one of those Emporia energy monitors. I think the data would be interesting.
Monitoring energy is a very cool feature to have! Emporia is good for monitoring total consumption but there are better options for tracking and visualizing long term data
Are all the wires in your 8x8 12awg?
At first glance I was like. “You can’t junction 12awg to 14awg. I’m guessing the white Romex is older. Before they color coded everything.
Great question! As far as I am aware there is no code stating you can’t splice together different gauge wires. However, you need to make sure the wire are protected by a breaker sized to the smallest conductor. In this instance I decided to use the 12awg wire I had vs buying more. I used 15amp breakers to protect them. The junction box is only a few inches away from the panel. If this was a random junction box somewhere in a wall then I would be more concerned.
What’s the r-value of that panel?
So there are two schools of thought here…
What happened to the boat?
Unfortunately, the boat has been put on pause for now for financial reasons. Looking to grow the channel more to sustain projects like the boat.
@@DownToTheFrame good luck to you.
