- In this video I install electric resistive baseboard heaters in my house. Also, I install a transformer/relay so that I can control the electric heat with a low voltage thermostat. In this instance I used an ecobee thermostat. Thank you for watching Down to the Frame!

This is the best (and only) video of someone explaining the whole process for installing a new thermostat. I was so tired of watching everyone just replacing a thermostat and acting like they were the second coming of jesus . THANK YOU and keep doing what you're doing.
haha love this comment! I am glad you found it helpful! Thank you and I will!
Finally, a really good video on how to wire this thing 🙌. Thank you very much!
You’re most welcome!!!
Its been a while since ive been around baseboard heaters. I remember them being slow to heat. But the quality is quite stable.
They did a much better job evenly gradually heating than our original propane system and it is so quiet!
I grew up in Michigan, currently living in California. I dont like the kind of furnace you replaced. You definatly could tell when it was running. Roasting everyone nearby. When I moved into my first apartment, it was heated by steam. I think radiant heat is more comfortable.
Great video as always!
Thank you buddy!
Thanks man. Always! You're a genius.
You’re welcome! and thank you!
Awesome video! Do you know if the relay you used would be good to run multiple baseboard heaters from? Like if instead of 2 baseboard heaters you could run 4 or 5 to that same thermostat? Same process?
Great question! Personally, I would ask the manufacturer. However, from an electrical stand point it can hold as many baseboards as 20amp amps will allow. So if you have 5 baseboards who’s total 125% amperage is less than 20amp then theoretically the relay will be fine. You just need to wire it in a junction box like I did in the video
great video, keep up the good work 👏👏👏👏👏👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you!!!
Good job.
Thank you!
Mannn great video! I wished I could pay you to do my house.
Thank you! Honestly I wish I could too! haha
Hey bud what type of wiring u used for 240 base board heater.
I used 12/3 because of the calculations I did told me that would be the correct size. I could have also used 12/2 but I like have a neutral wire going to every junction point.
How much electricity these baseboards pull per month?
